I wish it was more straightforward to use. I also wish that Namely had a background check integration providers. I wish there was a built in ATS system. Pros Namely has been very customizable and adaptable to our way of business and the “weird” oddities we have. Other vendors told us many times to “just do this instead”, and those solutions were not going to work for us. However, Namely was able to come in and solve each of those needs. Very easy to use. Very easy to navigate. Needs a little supervision at the beginning though but very easy to use when u get used to all HR processes in one platform. Will easily recommend this software. Cons This is my own opinion. And the only con I have has to do with the cost. As far as am concerned Namely cost is a bit too high. No matter the cost am still going to use this software. It can however be reviewed to help a lot more people come on board because it’s a great software. I like the HR consultant that comes with the membership license. It's great that you can keep everything employee specific tied to their profile - signed documents, performance reviews etc. Cons Our company roll out wasn't smooth - it seems like there was a lot of back and forth to make sure everything was set up correctly and/or fixed. They have great customer support, account managers, and implementation teams. Very helpful and stay on top of to-do lists with weekly updates. The HR side and newsfeed have been a hit for our employees. They LOVE it. It is a great avenue for us to provide our remote locations insight on what our company is doing and a one-stop shop for employee information. The payroll side of things, however, isn't as user-friendly. We have a somewhat complicated payroll, due to the size of our company and multiple divisions, that we have come across some areas of improvement. We continue to work with Namely for system improvements that will maximize our efficiency and accuracy with payroll and benefits process, specifically integrations for time clocks and Cobra providers. Pros Namely, newsfeed has really had positive feedback from our employees. Love that we can have documents and HR information all in one place - the employee's profile. Cons The payroll side of things is not as easy to use as the HR side. They don't "talk" to each other as they should -- information doesn't roll over from HR to Payroll automatically - there are times when manual adjustments need to be made. I prefer namely since it was more user-friendly and intuitive in terms of where to find what, but, I do know that for an HR Administrator it had less functionality. We love our account manager and the support he provides us daily. Our employees old and new are excited to use this software, they love the fact that is it an all in one solution with one login and that the interface is modern and not antiquated like some of the other HRIS solutions out there. We have been able to customize this software to our need and add different parts of the platform gradually as we grow. Cons We had to make a few tax adjustments when we implemented our payroll with Namely, our state has some intricate nuances with state tax. It seems like they are growing their tax department and they work to help with these issues. You can capture as much data as you want and build custom categories which makes data collection robust and easy. The support team is responsive on all matters, despite the time zone differences. Overall a great product and big bang for the buck (with some minor roadmap additions). I've used other programs and Namely is 100% the leader in HR services for employees. It's ease of use, clear outlook on logging, and most every other function has never been easier to use. Love this. Cons I cannot think of any cons. Setup may have been a little spotty but otherwise it has been nothing but smooth sailing on logging from an HR standpoint. The UI is decent compared to some of their enterprise level competitors Cons Their systems rarely work correctly which means you have to reach put to their support team. Their support team doesnt seem to know how to aolve problems. They will mark your ticket resolved with no resolution which means you have to continue contacting them for the same problem. Customer service is awful. They are not honest. Pros The product looks nice. But it is a glorified facebook page. The system does not operate well. I thought they would automate my recruiting, onboarding, HR and Payroll. It really does not work that way. It was much more work than my previous system. Then Namely did not disclose the extra costs to process child support, garnishes, and many other things. During the sales pitch, Namely said the price covered everything and I feel that they were not honest. Cons They do not tell you about all the fees. They messed up the quarterly reporting and never fixed it. They are absolutely horrible to deal with. Customer services reps are not helpful. I feel that out of all of the HR/employee platforms I've used Namely is the simplest option. It has been a pleasure to use. Pros One of the best things about Namely is that it’s extremely user-friendly. Compared to alternative HR software like Workday, it’s much easier to use. Enrolling in my benefits has never been easier. Some other features I like and use are its paycheck stubs, time-off, and notifications for coworkers’ birthdays. Cons From my side as a user, I have no complaints. However, my company switched to Workday (which I don’t like as much) because it offered some additional flexibility. All the fun features like giving awards/compliments become moot because people avoid using it, it doesn't make reviews helpful at all, most people see 360 reviews as a chore and this app doesn't make it any better. Cons I think some tome of reward system, fun reminders, and other ways to boost engagement could benefit this application. Performance reviews are hardly fun, so you need to curb behavior by making it less painful, not just add on to the same pains of having to fill essays upon essays saying barely anything useful about your coworkers. It is confusing when signing in, adding hours for the workday. Many times, I have added my working hours only for it not to be added.
