Being familiar with relational databases, Kintone required some getting used to. Overall, it does what we need at a reasonable price without resorting to much more expensive enterprise-focused software. We were assigned an excellent project manager. \[sensitive content hidden\] rose above and beyond in understanding our business process and our particular needs, He helped us quickly implement and tailor Kintone with many customized functions that would have taken us much longer to achieve.

Pros

Low code requirement, easy to use. Friendly user interface. Easy to maintain lists updated via export/import functions. Useful external data connections.

Cons

Self-help system is not properly indexed to efficiently find answers to questions. Perhaps needs AI to be integrated into self-help functions. Not enough video training to avoid lengthy searches for help.

Overall positive, it is a smaller company so the customer support is still not as quick in response times as some other bigger companies.

Pros

Easy to use, and allows for a build your own adventure when it comes to database applications. It is a simple drag and drop application, making it easy to customize.

Cons

It is not really practical when you have multiple tables that need to be loaded. There are also portions of the application that I wish were customizable for the user that are currently not, and if you ask for the customization there is usually an (understandable) charge.

I recently had the pleasure of setting up data collection systems in Kintone and I'm delighted to share my positive experience. Our consultant, Tim Edingfield has a remarkable level of expertise and an amazing capacity to understand the highly unique and customized needs of our nonprofit. His explanations are so clear and his calm demeanor and immense amounts of patience have been a gift. As a product, Kintone is being formatted and customized far beyond what I’ve seen in any of the training videos. Kintone is easy to use, even for users that are not tech minded. My experience with Kintone has been outstanding; our knowledgeable consultant, efficient service, and dedication to customer satisfaction have earned my highest recommendations. As a matter of fact, Kintone has set a benchmark for excellence in customer service that other companies would do well to emulate.

Pros

The high level of expertise, capability and flexibility of our consultant.

Cons

We have to use a plug in to allow for more users.

Very good experience. Kintone has helped our organization grow in our database & data analytics even though we're still in the development phase.

Pros

The support team. Their team is very willing to help out with any questions and to help build apps. Integrations - Kintone has a very robust API and also boasts many 3rd party integrations. If whatever app you use already has an API, importing data is a breeze (same with automation). Customizability - Everything is customizable. If you can use Javascript then everything and their dog is customizable.

Cons

One gripe I have is the lack of functions natively in the App form builder. An example I had is totaling 10 fields and getting the average. It is possible with the calculations fieldtype but every field needs to be filled for it to average correctly.

Reasons for choosing kintone

Price and ease of use. Alternatives had very ambiguous prices (CPU usage) while also needing a trained mind to use.

Outstanding! They discussed my issues and helped me to find the best possible solution and continue to do that today. Very helpful and customer service oriented!

Pros

Kintone is easy to use! It is set up in a way that allows you to think about your needs now and in the future.

Cons

Even though many aspects of Kintone are plug and play, I was needing some customization that required the assistance of the Kintone programer. \[sensitive content hidden\] was exceptional in explaining and assisting me in setting up our database.

Reasons for choosing kintone

Ease of design, set-up, use, and flexibility as we move forward.

Overall, we love this program. It's currently used by 10 folks but will be used wider soon!

Pros

Customer service! They respond within hours and are always free to meet with me when I have a new request on ways to customize the platform to fit my specific business' needs.

Cons

When filtering by a piece of data that contains letters, you have to ensure all data that is entered is done exactly the same (even with capitalization) or you will miss data. It would be great for the program to pick up all data despite this. Ex. Addresses are entered by my team and might say "630 S San Pedro" while others say "630 san pedro".

Reasons for choosing kintone

I couldn't find many other programs that fit my needs and for those that I did, none of them could be customized like I needed.

Our firm has been more organized and our work product is more streamlined. Deadlines don't get missed and we love that the software keeps track of the changes made, as well as who made them.

Pros

This program is easily customizable. Perfect for keeping our team on task and preventing them from missing critical dates and response deadlines.

Cons

I can't think of anything I dislike about this software.
