Cons Self-help system is not properly indexed to efficiently find answers to questions. Perhaps needs AI to be integrated into self-help functions. Pros Easy to use, and allows for a build your own adventure when it comes to database applications. It is a simple drag and drop application, making it easy to customize. Cons It is not really practical when you have multiple tables that need to be loaded. There are also portions of the application that I wish were customizable for the user that are currently not, and if you ask for the customization there is usually an (understandable) charge. Our Comprehensive Review" February 28, 2023 4.0 The requirement for a bespoke application to manage leads and track our sales pipeline is one of the most significant business issues that we have been able to resolve with this software. We were able to create a solution that met our specific requirements without requiring extensive coding knowledge or IT support thanks to the dashboards, workflows, and forms that are highly customizable with kintone.We have reaped a tremendous amount of benefits. The collaboration and communication features of Kintone are one of my favorite features. Our team can collaborate effectively with real-time data and graphing features, automatic notifications, and a centralized workspace. We are able to keep up with our sales pipeline, share important information and updates, and utilize the most recent data to make educated decisions.Overall, I've had a very good experience with Kintone. Cons Kintone has a few great features, but there are also some drawbacks to think about. The limited options for integration are one of the drawbacks. As a user, I've discovered that, in comparison to some other low-code development platforms, kintone doesn't integrate with as many third-party tools and services. This can be constricting. For instance, I use a project management software that Kintone does not currently support, so I must manually transfer data between the two platforms.The price is another drawback. Despite the fact that kintone may provide more advanced features and functionality than some other platforms, its price can be quite high, particularly for startups or smaller businesses with limited budgets. It's great to know which one is the most updated copy to use, for example. Love how you can customize the data fields to your specific needs. Cons When you create a table inside an app, it would be nice to be able to auto sort them and/or use filters. Please make more native Kintone plugins for further customization! Also, they would frequently update the system and layout for better functionality (supposedly). However, the layout, organizational design, and features could drastically changed. We have more than halved the amount of time required to undertake basic operational tasks and similarly reduced non-value adding effort on the side of our contractors. Our corporate knowledge is now supported by a strong and secure auditable system. The Kintone team have been exceptional in assisting us to realise our business vision with regard to systems. Pros Kintone was flexible enough to be allow us to re-create our somewhat unique business requirements from data collection, to workflow, to linking with other systems such as Formstack, Docusign and Xero, to communicating with contractors and customers. We were able to eliminate as much mundane and time consuming activities as possible to ensure that the only interventions required by staff members is to "add some value". Cons It is a little clunky around external organisations and users which we need to duplicate and link as organisations/contacts with departments/users Reason for choosing kintone "off the shelf" packages didn't meet our unique requirements and the organisation would have needed to turn itself into a pretzel fitting a "square peg into a round hole" adopting one of these. With Kintone we were able to meet our business requirements on a platform quite efficiently. It also allowed us to break our vision into phases to deliver results and then increase our sophistication in the meeting new opportunities. There were no surprises. No "temporary" pricing. What you see is what you get, and it has greatly improved our content management and work flow process. A bit plus is the ability to link apps so that matching fields can be automatically populated, avoiding wasteful double data entry. Pros Kintone was so easy; logical interface with drag-and-drop functionality that makes creating your first app easy. Or you can upload a spreadsheet and decide how you want the data to display. Cons Some of the functionality, such as setting up reminders, was complicated and required assistance from customer support. There is no way to "mass delete" notifications. Reason for choosing kintone Neither of those options were feasible because of development time, cost, or suitability. We just needed a tool to manage information and projects. It has modernized our business & reduced data duplication. We now have a project management tool and can see tasks being done among the team in real time. It has highly reduced the amount of emails and outlook calendar reminders, since I can set automatic notifications and reminders. The team I work with at Kintone has been a tremendous help anytime I have questions about implementing new processes. The sky is the limit and I am excited to see things evolve! Their team is very willing to help out with any questions and to help build apps. Integrations - Kintone has a very robust API and also boasts many 3rd party integrations. If whatever app you use already has an API, importing data is a breeze (same with automation). Customizability - Everything is customizable. If you can use Javascript then everything and their dog is customizable. Cons One gripe I have is the lack of functions natively in the App form builder. An example I had is totaling 10 fields and getting the average. It is possible with the calculations fieldtype but every field needs to be filled for it to average correctly. We needed a software that we could program several programs. We also needed these programs to have process management checks and balances and an audit trail. Kintone seemed to fit all of our needs. We've been very happy with the program and how easy it has been to use. Pros It is very user friendly, very easy to setup new applications. Support is easy as well, quick responses. The process management piece is very simple to setup. There are lots of add-ins that are free or for purchase that make it even more useful. Cons There are no cons at this time. I know how to spell HTML. The Kintone team took a concept I had and created a comprehensive client evaluation audit and scoring system that included multiple client support apps, like action planning. From day one until we were able to start testing initial versions was fast, fast, fast. The development time was a matter of months from start to roll out. The people we worked with were wonderful, honest and smart. The only challenge was that since I am not a "techie" - there were times their communications were a bit over my head. But they eventually learned how to communicate better with a novice like me. I was very, very pleased with Kintone and the platform they built and manage for us. Pros The system is quite robust, has multiple applications (audit, reporting, support materials, action planning), and easy to use. Cons Multiple clients cannot be working on their audit at the same time. It has solved our repository and project dashboard needs. I enjoyed it for the simplicity and how easy it was to get started building an app. Also the fact that the scripts use Javascript instead of some made up language is also good since most developers have been introduced to either Javascript or Java by now. Pros I like how easy it is to use and learn and set everything up. One of the advantages I think it has over most of the products in the same line, is how easy it is to set up process management and to assign roles to everyone on the team. For newer companies without anyone that's tech suave, I would definitely recommend Kintone! Cons Compared to other Services like Zoho Creator, there really is not much room for customization in the apps and the fact that you have to use another service to generate forms to input into the database is also bad because if you are not a user with Kintone, then the data cannot be accessed.
