July 9, 2018 5.0 It works, and that is a very big thing. Pros The simplicity of setup and ongoing use. I like the layout and how quickly it loads onto a page for the end user. Cons Setting up a vertical index/menu for the shop appears not to be possible. If not, that is something that the team could work on. Cons I do not like the controls that they require you to use to embed in wordpress, easy but they make me nervous. Also an ecwid implented web site has a hard time passing scans by the cc verification company due to it being hosted on a different server, some of these control scan packages just don't get it. October 26, 2016 5.0 I love all the features, I am able to customize my items for sale as I am a shirt designer and each piece might have different options based on design and shirt used. I am able to copy a template and then customize when needed. I love the organization features to be able to set up my products under categories and to easily turn off a category without having to delete it. That allows me to turn a sale on or off quickly based on my needs. My only wish is to have better download capabilities in my options section as they all feed to one cell in my download. That would be my only upgrade request. Separate cells for each option when downloading my customer sales. Pros The ease of use ! It can do pretty much anything and quite often I've needed help. I have found the chat help service to be extremely useful on a number of occasions. They're always there to hand to walk you through stuff. I have recommended them to friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. Pros That I can install it almost anywhere on the web. I found it really easy to use and very cost efficient. Ecwid’s instant site isn’t really meant to be used for a professional store because you can’t blog on it but many people can still make it work. I’m happy with Ecwid and don’t think I’ll be switching to another platform any time soon. Mainly because you can use Ecwid to connect to Facebook stores, the Amazon marketplace, Instagram and even eBay. Overall Ecwid is truly worth it. Pros Ecwid is extremely simple to use even if your a beginner and have no experience. Their customer service is great as they can help with anything you need and respond surprisingly fast. They have a free plan which is fairly generous in terms of features. Their instant site is great for individuals who need a store quickly. The app is constantly under updates and come up with great updates. I'm participating as a reseller as well, although have not been active much, but i've got the privilege to see the difference between both the dashboard. I prefer if ecwid could roll-out every updates on reseller accounts as well and more frequent than it does now. Cons Starter site and user-controlled language translation. I think the starter site can be advanced to have better look and having more themes to be chosen from. Used the software for: ### "Ecwid was a quick solution" October 31, 2016 3.0 I had a cottage industry making stencils and selling direct but as my client list grew my need for a store increased. Being of the older generation, coding a store was not an option. I did a google search and found Ecwid. I picked ecwid because it interacts with FB which is where the majority of my business is based. It was easy to set up, it takes paypal...with issues at times, overall it does a good job. What I like: Easy set up, Great customer support, paypal payments, seems great for the USA, code to change look of store. What I don't like: My store has a USA address but I deal with the EU also so that creates an entire new list of problems for my EU customers. My biggest issue is that I can't have a record of when the order was shipped unless I save all shipping notices. When dealing in the EU, there is no shipping options other than USA ones, there is no option for bank transfer in the EU. I have to take the order in Ecwid but then create a new invoice in a database. It is double work for me. Overall I am happy with Ecwid and the customer support is great.
