Cons I wish there was a set up sheet that prompted us to decide on a folder structure and keyword conventions. June 9, 2016 4.0 Libris is a breath of fresh air for those who have to maintain a digital asset library for their company. The ability to manage all or selected photo assets quickly and seamless makes it easy to stay on top of your digital assets when their are multiple stakeholders involved. The backend user admin panel is easy to use and navigate. You can also assign staff permissions to be able to make certain changes on the site if needed, like content editing. Libris also produces beautiful looking website that allow the user to view and download the photo assets. While the backend and admin are great, I would like to see additional improvements to the ability to customized the website a little more then your able to now. Cons It would be wonderful if there was an algorithm that recognized dominant colors, daytime vs. nighttime, simple objects, and used this information to begin tagging for you. August 16, 2017 5.0 Pros The ability to tag, search and share photos with ease. PhotoShelter has made our digital asset management a lot easier. Cons There are still a few glitches in the functionality. Additionally, I wish there was a better way for managing uses, gallery passwords, etc. Not all of our users want an account, and creating a new password for each user becomes a little overwhelming. Pros The software makes it easy to attribute image rights to the content creators. It also allows for integration into a larger campaign framework which has been critical to our strategy. Cons Overall it is good. One of the areas we struggle with is the user friendliness of the management portal. We have a virety of contributors logging in and managing the material. Working with exporting from Lightroom - could be a little better, but it's okay. Pros The interface is pretty. It's pretty straight forward. I think it's stupid to expect me to write a specific amount... I'm still learning, I don't have any thing else to say. Cons raw images don't reflect any adjustments made... when there's an xmp file, it should be applied. Search function isn't that great. I have heard nothing but compliments from my colleagues about my decision to switch to Libris from a competing vendor. Pros The ease of distribution of our assets and an improved administrative side and accessibility to the public and others in the organization that aren't on the administrative side. Cons There is greater ability to refine search results on the administrative side. I wish the same ability was available for others not on the administrative team to refine their search results. Pros For collecting and sharing photos from a variety of members/sources, Libris has proven to be a big step forward from anything we have tried in the past. Amassing a library and organizing it so that photo usage becomes less of a photo hunt--that's what we've seen. Cons Like anything, there's a bit of a learning curve with regards to access and use, but any inconvenience or hurdle here is small and easily cleared. Creating and uploading are a breeze and for the most part takes a few minutes. Cons This is easy. My clients and customers have difficulty navigating to the download area. Cons The inability to select individuals within a group to email notifications. As we add people to existing groups, we'd like to email just the new person and not the entire group. Very minor issue that we figured out a work around.
