Pros

It loads high res file very quickly. It makes looking though large libraries a breeze. It's also very easy to add items and make light boxes.

Cons

It's very hard to tell people where items are. For example on our server at the office I can show info copy the link and slack it to people. I wish I had a way if doing this on the dam.

Excellent! Easy to tag, upload, change metadata, etc. So far, I'm loving Libris.

Pros

I love that you can easily tag and customize and sort photos in Libris. We've been looking for photo software management for awhile, and this has been a dream come true!

Cons

It's very detailed, so if you don't watch the videos and actually take a minute to learn the system, it can feel overwhelming. But, if you take time to learn the system, you'll be fine!

Libris has been a huge benefit to our day to day workflow in terms of photography. It's extremely streamlined and very fast when uploading out photos.

Pros

I like the fast upload speeds when uploading our photos. Also, the integration with Lightroom is a huge benefit.

Cons

One thing I don't like about this software is the inability to search by photographer.

We've been able to organize all of our creative campaigns and get an overview of all artwork finished for a client. When you have multiple designers working on one campaign, it's easy to get unorganized. Libris helped us keep our projects organized and easy to share with others.

Pros

I liked the ability to tag our projects, and search by tag. It gave us a great platform to share and view all creative projects going on. It helped to keep us organized and get a bigger picture of our workflow.

Cons

Some of the program lingo was confusing.

Easy to find files and download. A lot better than the usual servers.

Pros

Easy to use and makes it easier for every department to get access to files without going through many processes.

Cons

There is no way to edit a file directly from the software. If you want to edit a file, you need to download and edit off your desktop.

Uploading files and organizing them is straightforward and easy. I love the robust search feature, and single sign on, that allows anyone from the team to go on and search for assets easily.

Cons

Figuring out the permissions can be tricky. I also wish that Indesign and Photoshop files were supported.

Our university needed a way to share photos with our campus clients as well as media, students and other users. We needed a stable platform, ease of use for clients as well as system administrators, competitive cost of storage, robust search, collaborative features, e-storefront and responsive customer support, all wrapped in an attractive package. Libris met all of these needs. Our clients love using it. I've tried several other services since 2005, and I highly recommend giving Libris a try.

I have not used Customer Support so it is not really fair for me to rate them. It is easy to find photos I am looking for. Much easier than what we were using.

Cons

I wish I had better instruction on how to use it. I was given very little information. IS there a tutorial pdf I could download?

The thumbnails are great, the categories are nice and the ability to have multiple people all able to access it.

Cons

I don't like how small the drop down arrow are, it makes it difficult to close out the categories because my cursor will miss it.

It's ease of use. Intuitive, simple, no vertical learning curve. IT makes working the the team and the university very easy - and they LOVE it. The speed with which they can get their images out to the public and the levels of security - you can't beat this.

It is easy to upload and organize files, folders and galleries. Sharing galleries using per-gallery passwords is very useful.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the interface. Also, it seems difficult to give people permissions in some instances.

This helps my team more efficiently find photos and assets with the tagging features and keywords rather than search our server to find the.

I think that we still have some bugs and things load a bit slow sometimes.

Pros

The keyword search and metadata storage is really helpful. It's great to have everything condensed in one place.

Cons

I've had a hard time sharing things with vendors. I haven't found a way to make all photos in a lightbox downloadable with one click. I'm having to go through them one by one to make them available for download. I also don't like that if I click on a photo and use the arrow keys to start scrolling back and forth, when I click back to the tiled selection - it hasn't followed me. I have to scroll down to find the photo I was looking at again.

Pros

We are easily able to access all of our content and finally have a shared platform to upload everything. Being able to tag photos and search by the keyword is essential in a team that is geographically separated and the interface is easy to navigate. Libris was kind enough to grant our non-profit access to their 5TB storage program for free and we couldn't be more excited about this partnership.

Cons

Files that I am attempting to take from the system and transfer to my computer take a long time even if the file is not very large.

We are now able to streamline photos from our Convention and very easily choose who can access them and who cannot, where in the past we would have to individually send photos or send discs via mail for large files. Having everything in one spot has made sharing and storing thousands of photos very easy. Also, the customer service Libris has provided is outstanding. I had a question that was answered in a short amount of time so I could continue my work within the product.

Sometimes it's hard for the customer to search for photos. The customer would contact me asking if we have a certain photo. I don't know if the customer understands how the search field works?

The tagging system is really easy to use both from the back end and the user experience. Uploading photos into folders is fast and simple. I also really like being able to save photos in two different folders; it makes organizing and finding files easy.

Cons

I'm still trying to understand the search tools. I don't always get the files that I expect to get. I also wish that it was possible to retrieve files with partial names. For example, "bow tie" would retrieve "BowTieParty."
