It does exactly what we need it to do, so overall, from what I know, we're very happy with the platform. Pros The user-friendliness and the extensive data storage capacity Cons I'm not really seeing any downsides. I'm not deeply familiar with the platform, but from what I've heard, whenever we encounter a problem, there's always a way to resolve it through the platform's settings. Sometimes the search function is not very helpfull but that can also have something to do with the way we name our folders. So overall, from my perspective, there really aren't any big cons. " June 21, 2023 5.0 This is the most versatile and price friendly DAM I have ever worked with. It has a fantastic support structure, so we always feel we have someone to suport us if needed. Pros There are so many benefits to mention abou this software. The functionality is perfect for medium/big sized companies, the pricing is incredible to beat and their attitude to constanly improving their software accoring to customer feedback. Their support/chat is very responsive and helpful. has strong integration possibilities with fx. our PIM system, Perfion. We no longer administer images in PIM, but do it instead in the very user friendly Kontainer interface. Markeintg use Kontainert for all their hi-res images for print and other colleteral, instead of saving images in various local folders/drives. Our external customers now use Kontainer to download our product images for their own print and web material. Cons feels like a relatively young company, so their sofware is maybe not as mature as the more high-end/expensive options on the market. This being said, Kontainer has ample functionality available, and is constantly adding new features. The tagging options can sometimes be a bit confusing when trying to set up, but as we have integrated Kontainer with an external PIM system, we only use the basics here. It is possible to share images (on a "Folder specific" level) with partners, the press and colleagues. File conversion works excellent in many formats. Cons User management is either extremely complicated or not functioning correctly. It should be connected to an Active Directory or similar and grap roles/user permissions from here. The system is very easy to use for me and for our customers. And there is so many more options, which we are still not using. The people from Kontainer gives a great support, when we have problems or questions. Pros We used to have all files on a server, which made it imposible to find the pictures we needed. This was our primary reason to choose - now we can simple search for pictures, and it’s easy to get an overview. The second reason was to make it easy for our customers to find pictures, which have been a great success. It’s easy to share pictures with a link to bon users. And I can choose the size for downloadning, so I don’t have to edit picture size afterwards. Cons The “tags” function does not work together with the search field and it’s not possible to filter pictures based on the tags. So it’s necessary in some degree, to know which words to sesrch for. The InDesign plug-in does not work very well, we still have to use a server for the pictures we use in InDesign documents. It’s not possible to mirror an album. June 14, 2024 5.0 Overall experience has been great from research to signing to implementation! Pros The interface is intuitive and easy to use for internal and external team members, the price was great compared to others, support is super helpful, walks you through things, suggests how to set something us based on what you are using it for, and are open to suggestions to the platform. Cons It seems like they may still be fine tuning the platform but there has only been 1 issue I had that wasn't resolvable. Most times when I ask if there is a way to do something specific, they are 1 step ahead of me and already are in the process of implementing it and I just have to wait a little for it to be up and running. One con is the time difference from Europe to the West Coast but there are still options for rep hours within our office hours. So not much to complain about! Reason for choosing Kontainer Simply because it checked most of our boxes and the price was reasonable. It was the best decision we ever made!
