Pros

Very comprehensive and covers pretty much everything we do, which makes life easy. We've worked really closely with them on our JDF integration project and we're really pleased with what we've achieved. Can't fault the team and their knowledge of print and integration is what made our project so successful. First class product, first class team.

Cons

Because it's a very comprehensive system, the implementation process does need a fair bit of time and attention. You need to spend time collecting data and inputting it into the system properly. This can take up quite a lot of time but it was worth it because we knew we wanted to get a good ROI on our investment. So a word of advice - make sure you make the time, make sure your team make the time or bring in additional resource if you need it.

overall Tharstern is a good experience and once you know where things are it is easy to use.

Pros

I like that Tharstern is fairly easy to use and can be linked with other software to make workflow easier

Cons

I know there has been work on and a release for the packaging sector, but this caused headaches in the past. I'm not over keen that everything is a separate paid for module, but I understand that this give flexibility for companies to purchase the items they want. The naming of some items within Access Rights is a little odd!

Pros

The fact that it can integrate with Hubspot and the support from Tharstern.

Cons

I'm only involved with estimating and CRM and I like all the features within there.

We are pleased with how the implementation and support teams have helped to address our objectives and challenges outlined at the start of the project.

Pros

the number of features available and the volume of data it can produce combined with the availability of the API; practical specialists in implementation who understand client scenarios

Cons

training remotely during COVID - t 1 hour on Zoom is less productive than 1 hour in person

Communication from account manager on specifics could be improved.

Pros

Covers entire business from estimating through to invoicing and reporting. Easy to use when set up correctly. The support team are really helpful.

Cons

Certain features of Estimate Pro not dynamic enough. Some areas are over complicated to setup and clearer guidance in terms of simple flow charts to refer to would be helpful.

Some of the features don't split how many you get on a sheet down to individual items for finishing and sometimes it is hard to find prices to change

Its ability to record real world costs and clearly show cost vs selling price

Cons

Pro is not laid out the same as Classic, and as such I'm going to need some time to acquaint myself with layout

Pros

Tharstern has great potential to be the center hub of an automated workflow that connects our web to print, prepress, production, timekeeping, warehouse, and delivery systems. It will be a long process that will likely never be "finished", but the people at Tharstern are committed to helping us achieve our goals, and have been very responsive in helping us.

Cons

The software is a blank canvas with endless potential, which can be quite daunting when starting from scratch. There is limited documentation on how to use the software, and no "help" buttons within the software to indicate what things are, or how to use them.

none, we have since dumped it, this was part due to the fact tharstern we not helpful after we paid them the money. if anyone else is interested, they have lovely brochures etc, but ask them to install the system to your satisfaction and then you will pay them, they will not do this !! enough said

Pros

i could say i liked some features until i found an online system fully features with no extra costs, if anyone would like to speak with me, im happy to give free advice about the systems we have tried and the one we are currently using

Cons

any company that has to come and set up a software package for a few days run from, if you can't set up an online system, run from it, if it takes days for them onsite, then you will have months of grief
