There are automation rules for candidates that can be set up to decline low skilled or highlight highly qualified candidates. Nice time savings features! Cons Many steps require multiple page loads to move forward. Their software team should consider to have all the decision items on one page through drop down lists for selection to allow to move forward, rather than separate page feeds. Pros My experience with Main Sequence and the PCRecruiter product has been fantastic. The response time to questions and the consistency that you get from each and everyone you deal with on their team is stellar. Everyone is knowledgeable and approachable. I made updates on my website recently and was happy at how quickly Andrew was able to implement them. With other services I have seen this type of request submitted, processed and then you wait. This like any other request at Main Sequence was dealt with in a personal, professional manner and quickly. Cons None. Recruiter Management Consulting Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Highly Customizable and Robust ATS" January 15, 2016 3.5 Pros When compared to the other ATS products I reviewed, PCRecruiter offered the most capabilities at the lowest cost. Users are able to access the database wherever there's an internet connection (including on mobile devices) and the user interface is fairly simple to learn, even if you're not a "techie." Hiring managers are able to view candidates and feedback from other interviews. They don't need to ask me for this information anymore. I can also schedule interviews easily from within the system and there is the option to include the Outlook attachment within the email sent to interviewers. We are saving so much time and money by using PCR. Cons This system has a background in 3rd party staffing agencies so there are many features that a corporate (internal) recruiter wouldn't need to use and that can sometimes be confusing. There are a wide variety of reports available but the formatting isn't as easy to manipulate as, say, Taleo. Review Source AF Andy F. Used the software for: ### "Excellent Customer Support & Value for Money" November 18, 2016 4.0 After using PC Recruiter for several months one thing that has to be said is that it has been a breath of fresh air compared to some competitors. Being located in Australia and having technical support in the US was daunting initially however the sales and training representatives for our region are on the front line when it comes to helping solve any issues or questions relating to functionality. It is value for money compared to some competitors, even after converting to Australian dollars. Other similarly priced solutions (and there are not many) do not provide the functionality and customisation options that PCR delivers. Whilst there is always room for more features and I do feel that there are a few that need to be implemented, there are regular improvements and features added every month or so which improve the user experience and the workflow. Everyone has been very professional and are very accessible. Pros I love the fact that it tracks all emails and there is no reason for me to search for certain words. Used the software for: ### "" April 4, 2013 4.5 PCRecruiter is a very nice product. It has given us all the features we need at the price we were able to pay. IT's has given us the capability to build an applicant database, auto post jobs, track interviews, and thoroughly organize and automate our recruiting process. The sales, training, and service organizations are first rate. They are courteous, available, and responsive. The implementation went smoothly and we were up and running with the basic features after our first training session. As training progressed, we brought other features on line immediately. My only drawback is that I am a MAC user and it's sometimes clunky. That is more of an Apple/JAVA issue than it is a PCRecrutier issue. PCR relies heavily on JAVA scripts and APPLE and JAVA aren't very friendly towards each other these days, so that does make things a little sticky but manageable. It's behind the entire market on its options. WE still have to cut paste and copy pictures from the internet like likedin just to get their photo's. In today's market usually when a database had a name and there is a linkedin profile you don't have to worry about it everything it knows or finds about the person is uploaded. Pros I never got it to work. That said, I have read many articles's on Capterra Software and feel that it is a very good product. Nothing in the market place is actually made for integration with PCRecruiter so it makes it hard to suggest a product for them when nothing works with them. Cons Never got it to function. Used the software for: ### "Great product and even better service" November 18, 2016 5.0 This is a highly user-friendly software / database. I was able to learn how to use this product in a very short amount of time. And even if you are a little bit slower with learning new technology, there are training and learning services available. I once came across a little more advanced situation I needed to learn about and when I called their learning center, the person was very patient with me and explained things very clearly. Recently after an update, I experienced a small glitch with the 'capture' feature and when I called for help there was no waiting and I was given excellent help (thanks Dyllan!). This is the only recruiting software I have tried out. So I cannot compare to others out there. However I think it works very well and see no need to explore other options. Happy with the product. Cons I find myself getting frustrated with their resume inhaler function. The way I use this software is more of a repository for resumes. I don't use it for client management at all. Secondly, their training and responsiveness were beyond my expectations. If you have a simple or complex question/concern, you can just make a simple phone call and service support will respond. We've had the system for a few years but just recently started truly utilizing it the way we should with the reporting, pipeline and integration capabilities. We also just worked with them to build an Online Employment Application which we will start using in the next few weeks with our applicants. They have done a wonderful job on it and we are super excited to see how our applicants and team respond to the new technology. For us, the best feature is the Portal... it's a tool that has synced Outlook to our PCRecruiter account and has saved SO much time and energy for each person on our team. December 7, 2016 5.0 Having used PCR for about 14 years, I've been very pleased with the company, product, and support. The ability to customize various fields, forms, etc. allows us to really sharpen the saw in our business. Example? We are able to produce robust client reports driven by metrics and share them with our clients. As with most tools, PCR does require new user acclimation but the intuitive web-based interface is fairly easy to navigate. More detailed knowledge is required to program certain customizations but the Main Sequence Team customer support is excellent and they stand ready to assist! The company also asks its users what features are important to them and most often, deploys them. The hallmark of any strong software company is paying attention to the voice of the customer. I can recruit faster from out Outlook email - I simply type in a few key words and boom, I get many applications at my finger tips. I'd like a software to have an option to enter an applicant and track them all the way through to termination/layoff, with readily available tags showing his reasons for leaving, eligible to be rehired, etc. PCR just didn't have that that I could find. Support has always been great, but the software itself is very cumbersome to use, IMO. It's not intuitive and processes are very lengthy, even to attach candidates to jobs, which should be one - two clicks. Search isn't that great and again, cumbersome. I am a sole proprietor so perhaps this may be better for a larger shop, but I still think there are systems out there that are much easier to use. Used the software for: ### "" August 12, 2012 2.0 We've used PCRecruiter for a few years at my company and my use has been as a hiring manager, reviewing resumes in their end-user interface. We have structured the service internally so that only the HR staff can access the full table structure; individual hiring managers use a simpler interface. I can only state this this interface is the most frustrating piece of software I have used in the last 20 years. It deliberately hides information that you may have entered about a candidate. It does not update the table of entries after you put in new information unless you refresh the page. It has very odd input process, requiring a Save button, then a Back button, and then, for no comprehensible reason, another Back button to get to the table view once more. Review Source MP Michael P. Powerful program" March 10, 2016 4.5 Pros We like their customer support. They know their product and provide excellent support. The program is powerful and has many features available that are oriented toward recruiters. It is quick with no lag, interfaces seamlessly with Outlook, has easy to use social media links with Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook etc. The program is customizable to our recruiting process. We highly recommend this product. The price point is competitive. Cons There is not a lot to dislike. However, there are so many features that are not always easy to find. One other complaint is that their online training manuals are of very little help. However their customer support is the best we have ever encountered with a software vendor. So that offsets the issue with understanding the program.
