Mobile Commons Reviews
"Great for texting hub"
Overall: We use Mobile Commons as a hub for all text messaging, including rich messages like MMS. It is great for collecting opt-ins from different sources and managing your contact database. The ability to easily replicate campaigns and obtain a text shortcode is a definite plus.
Pros: Easy API implementation, abilit to start within hours.
Cons: The user interface looks a bit dated and very basic.
"Great for mass text banking"
Overall: Very good.
Pros: You can easily schedule mass texts and reply to supporters. We're an organization that regularly sends out texts to many different segments. MC makes that possible. Sometimes we need to monitor texts for any replies and MC also makes that easy.
Cons: The reply feature could be organized better for easier responses on the same page rather than going to another page.
"Nice features but not very user friendly"
Overall: We chose MC because it provides us the features that fits our program content needs. But if we can find another company that provides the same feature but easier navigating system, we definitely will give the other product a try.
Pros: Love the flexible features they provide about messaging scheduling, which is a lot of other text campaign software lacking of. For example, Mobile Commons provides relative date scheduling so message can be sent according to for example, a pregnant woman's expected due date, etc. That enables us with appropriate content building that's customized to each text recipient. It also allows us to build custom data fields to collect data and make messages personalized by using those data.
Cons: Navigating the system is not very user friendly. Editing messages is not easy. If you have say 20 pages of messages, you have to go through page by page and it won't allow you to pick a page to go to. We've been voicing those kinds of feedback for years and it seems like it never got anywhere!
"All the Features I Need"
Overall: Mobile Commons allows our nonprofit organization to create text message campaigns and disseminate customized information about health to our communities.
Pros: Convenience of the message inbox and notifications by e-mail when a message received. Easy to respond.
Cons: Uploading messages is kind of clunky. Is there a way to create/edit messages directly in mobile commons instead of uploading from excel?
"best in class"
Overall: I've scoped out and tried to use other SMS platforms before, and Mobile Commons is really the easiest to use. They are made for mission driven organizations and they really care about helping us get the message out to our customers. The only drawback in my opinion is that users have to opt into the program and you can't send SMS blasts until they do. However it's really easy to use, the numbers are easy to see, and campaigns are really easy to organize.
Pros: Easy to use, customer service is on point.
Cons: Can't send an SMS to someone until they have opted into the service.
"Good but mobile phones is harmful for humans"
Overall: very price
Pros: you can study through our phone but not for playing games
Cons: mobile phones is good but not for playing games
