MobileServe is heaven-sent. We've struggled with recording and organizing all our philanthropy, service, and study hours for years -- we had even given up some of our service goals just because it was impossible to keep track -- but then MobileServe came along. Just minutes into the the pitch, we were sold. It's become our one-stop shop. We use it for all our events, so all the information is in one place, people can RSVP, and it automatically sends reminders. We log everything on there too. Instead of using Google Documents that people always forget to update, everyone logs their service or study hours right then and there. Plus, we ask everyone to geo-verify so we can keep people accountable. We just got started with MobileServe a month or two ago, so all 150+ chapter members are still getting the hang of it, but we've already seen so much improvement. We could not recommend it more strongly. In terms of administration, the company is always developing and adding features, and they have been really receptive to our needs. They have made sure that we figure everything out. Mobile-Serve is a great company, through and through. 10/10 Would Recommend.

hopefully this school year will run more smoothly than last year, our first year.

Pros

Can track where the students were volunteering. No more paper trail.

Cons

1)We need the kids to complete each section before he/she can go to the next column for each time he/she volunteers. All fields need to be completed before a student can hit the enter button. 2) Need to be able to move within a class without always having to go back to the beginning of the alphabet.

It is a great way to record your own hours for later resume purposes and it's an easy way to keep track of a group's service hours as well.

Pros

The organization of the group is great. It lays out statistics about the whole group's service submissions that are easy to read.

Cons

You cannot view the service with the hours once submitted. You can only see a tagged organization if you put one in.

Reason for choosing MobileServe

It was affordable and easy to teach the entire group how to use.

Pros

Ease of use and ability to download data into excel file.

Cons

No unique number or identifier attached to users, they must be deciphered based on their name and how they spelled it - James or Jim, married or maiden, misspellings, etc. (Cannot use excel vlookup function based on employee ID, user ID, etc.)

Wonderful. I look forward to closing out our first school year with MobileServe! My building principal is so impressed by the software and he wants to roll it out to every student in the school.

Pros

In the past I have had our students submit their service hours through a physical form. It became not only tedious for myself as the adviser, but also the students. Tallying how many approved hours they had before graduation took me WEEKS. Mobile Serve is a huge time saver for everyone.

Cons

As of now, I cannot find any real complaints about the software. Any issues I've had is user errors that I was able to solve with my students through trial-and-error.

In a church we have limited staff and resources. Monitoring student service hours manually required so many man hours, emails, follow up with parents and students, keeping manual totals. All that is handled within the software greatly reducing the number of staff hours on this task, freeing them for more mission related work.

Pros

I love the charts that are generated showing where our volunteers are providing impact and what service areas. The ease of entry, lack of paperwork, instantly able to record hours.

Cons

The email confirmations and approvals are not always done. I believe it is more user error but have to override and approve hours without confirmation often.

Cons

I wish we were able to customize the section for the service description. On our previous platform we had the students answer several questions to complete their service log. But unfortunately we are not able to do that with MobileServe so we are not getting as in depth responses as we would like.

Good customer service, I like that they need a signature etc

Pros

Having to onboard over 300 students into 2 grade levels and various groups was a challenge and we had issues with user logs not showing up because they used the wrong code. Once we were up and running everything worked great!

Cons

Onboarding was challenging and a lot of students and faculty got confused

I have used this app. to have my students log in their community service hours and it works well. I like that they can access it on their phones while in the field.

Nothing really. Some kids had problems connecting it to their phones, but once done it was good.

Pros

MobileServe has taken what was previously a huge headache and streamlined it into a smooth process for both administrators and students. before Mobile Serve, I spent so much time tracking down hours and students. Other softwares I had tried before were clunky and couldn't generate reports quickly or at all. Not only is MobileServe easy for me to use, I haven't had to explain how to use the software to students at all, it is so intuitive!

Cons

I wish there had been a way for students to be on boarded, rather than the students having to create their own accounts.

Pros

This company is incredible. The staff is friendly and quick to reply to questions. I have had incredible support along the way. I also really appreciate the program. It has freed up hours of daily work for me by digitizing our record keeping and communication portals. I'll have instant data. It's user-friendly and simple. It's very affordable. It's just incredible. I can't imagine NOT having this program!

Cons

Honestly, I haven't met any challenges yet. Getting it set up and running took some time, but it's worth it.

Overall easy to use. It's a great management tool.

Cons

We did this with a limited number of students and only for a limited time. We tried to do the onboarding ourself. We should have done it school wide and let their pros get us set up. There was not enough buy in from everyone to get the full benefits Mobileserve offers.

Pros

I like that this software is easy and quick to use when logging my service hours versus previous programs we have used. I also appreciate how the program goes a step further by asking the user to describe their experience of volunteering. Putting the focus on why you volunteered and what you got out of it rather than just having you put in your hours.

Cons

I think one Thing that needs to be worked on is a better layout of the screens because I think a more modern format would help make it an even better product.

It is easy to connect to the leaders of your service organization, so they can see the service hours you have done. It keeps all parties connected and involved.

Cons

The thing I like least about this software is how many hours I can put in at once. Sometimes I do a week long voluteer trip and it wont let me put in all the hours at once.

Ease of tracking individual's service hours.

Pros

It makes tracking service hours easy and the ability to attach pictures or geo-location is a nice feature.

Cons

When it crashes it does not repair timely or even acknowledge the fault. It also doesn't remember common inputs, which makes recording events much less convenient than it easily could be.

Pros

Awesome way to track service hours, easy to navigate, loved the layout of the website. Made me feel empowered to see how many service hours I had tracked over time.

Cons

Couldn't connect my Facebook to my account for my first account after I had already made it, then it created a second account and I couldn't merge them. I wish I could have for easier log in.

Pros

I love the idea of MobileServe and think it would be very beneficial for certain types of organizations. As an administrator, I could make edits to data to reflect physical sign-in sheet data if someone did not log their hours.

Cons

We were using the product to track participation hours from families, and had difficulty implementing it. Many times, families did not sign in (due to bad Wifi signals etc). We needed data from parents and children, and many times, only one family member would input data. There were a few features we needed that were just not possible with MobileServe, and the data we collected was not always consistent.

It’s difficult to look at the complete list volunteers and what they’ve don’t individually. I wish there was a way to search an individual and how much service they’ve completed alone.
