It helps me to easily keep track of all my projects, leads, invoices and emails. It's a game changer, saves me a lot of time and stress.

Pros

I can create workflows that save me time , increasing my efficiency. Customer support is outstanding. They help you transfer all your current and future jobs at no additional cost to your subscription. Software is extremely user friendly.

Cons

Well, I totally love this software. If I have to mention something... I would say it's not fully developed, which is not bad at all. They are constantly adding new features according the feedback user provide.

### "Looks good on surface, missing important key components "

I researched and tested every Photography CRM I could find and also read all the Facebook group comments for each app and settled on Studio Ninja solely because 'at the time', the comments were positive and the support seemed to be responsive. THEN - Studio Ninja (SN) was bought by ImageQuix! Ever since then, the support has come to a grinding halt in terms of SN addressing key issues and problems users were having. Support has promised many features but rarely gives any specific timeline as to when they will actually get a feature added or fixed. According to long-term users, some of the promises are over a year old with no action. Anmd any promises they have made are 6 months to a year out! I addressed this directly with SN support and told them everything that has changed for the worse since they got bought out. All I got was a "Thank you for your concern, we'll forward your concerns to someone else". Never heard anything back. I went on the Facebook group and started to ask some hard questions and because their support told everyone that it is not easy to make the changes they are requesting, due to the complex relationships between the data, I took that to mean that either they don't have the expertise to do it in a timely manner, or their software is faulty in that it can't be upgraded easily. Other apps seem to be able to make upgrades quickly. I speculated this on their FB group and my post was removed! If you read the SN Facebook comments now, there has been a shift - users are constantly asking for the most basic of changes and are being told it is not that easy, but they'll "put it on the list of future upgrades". It is very disappointing that SN (or is it ImageQuix?) has done such a poor job during this buy-out process. I have been involved in many buy-outs of companies and in my experience, you only buy a company out to get their client list, or to get their technology, to keep a company from being a competitor, or to integrate one company with the other. Both SN and InageQuix have described the buy-out as being a 'win-win' where ImageQuix will be able to offer 'more' to it's customers. In the meantime, Studio Ninja seems to be struggling to keep their current customers and, they just sent out a Price Increase without improving much of anything. A lot of users did not appreciate that.

Pros

The interface is clean and straight forward in Settings

Cons

There are MANY basic key components that other CRM's have that Studio Ninja does not have.

It's ok, there is definitely room for improvement. I just wish there was a way to actually give feedback and speak to someone solution focused. Every time I speak to someone they just say sorry we don't have that feature and it goes nowhere. It leaves me feeling frustrated every time

Pros

It has some ok features for client management, workflow creation. They are prompt in replying to messages.

Cons

For $360 per year this software can't do simple things that it needs to do. Like choose dates for automated emails to send in workflows or be able to send out bulk emails with categorised types of leads or clients. You can't even set up monthly newsletters via email. Every time I speak to them about these things they just say it can't be done and sometimes they say they will pass on my feedback. But I have been with them now for 5 years and these features are still not available.

Studio Ninja helped me keep up with invoices and payments, and just keep up in general. I'm in and out so often that it's hard to find time to sit down and look over everything myself. The statistics helped me as well, it's such an empowering feeling to watch your business grow and have the knowledge to take it a step further.

Pros

Studio Ninja has a lot of tools to help professional photographers run their business successfully. It helps manage payments and keep up with invoices. Add your logo or personalize invoices. Get contracts or agreements e-signed, accept credit card payments and transfer directly. Users can send payment reminders and automatic emails. It has a simple CRM that's easy to manage. Users can create a personalized schedule and workflow. Studio Ninja can be used from anywhere, not only in the studio.

Cons

Some users may want more complexity instead of simplicity. I'm used to more detail. There's often lag time, and it can become unresponsive. I don't like having to close and start again. I was never able to use the questionnaires because of this. It's just not as fast as I need it to be.

SN listens to the customers and takes feature requests seriously!!

Pros

Great dashboard with overviews, syncs with my Gmail calendar. Super organized and visual. Only Photographer CRM I know of that is multilingual!!! With a multilingual client portal! I serve 50/50 and it's the best software I found on the Market! Quotes, invoices, questionnaires all there. And you can make the Lead Capture Form be GDPR/DSGVO compliant! Yay Europe photographers

Cons

I just would love the Lead capture form to have more text fields that translate to different note types in the backend Also I am missing push notifications in the app with new leads (but will be rolled out soon) and Instant Booking system (coming soon)

Studio Ninja is an essential aspect of my daily workflow. I literally couldn't do my job without it!

Pros

It's easy to set up, intuitive and clear. Functions are laid out in a simple manner, and once set up, using the system is quite painless and simple.

Cons

I don't really feel much is missing; as soon as something is identified, the team is on it and updates that aspect of the platform. They're very responsive to community requests and suggestions.

Reason for choosing Studio Ninja

I liked that it was an Aussie platform. I joined the Facebook community and was amazed that the owners and designers regularly ask for feedback, explain new additions and updates, and generally are part of the online community for the software. I felt the UI was the best overall of the products I tried. I found the functionality to be the best, and the platform is way faster and snappier than the others.

### "Needs Work"

I feel like it's a small start up with many teething problems, which I completely understand, however the security thing is a non negotiable for me. I had a person leave my company and now for the past 2 weeks they can still access everything due to the password not actually changing when it says it has. I feel like the communication is also fairly poor. Looking at changing CRM provides due to lack of communication and safety of my business.

Pros

I liked that it was a built and designed especially for photographers

Cons

\- password and security is not that safe. When changing password it says that its been changed and updated, however when logging out, it allows access with old password. - it doesn't allow one to make an invoice without a shoot date. This becomes an issue when people buy photoshoot vouchers as i need to send invoice however there will not be a shoot date yet

Nothing but amazing.

Pros

Everything about it, from the quick customer service to the connection to Xero. The team is consistently improving it and taking suggestions from the Facebook forum, and are super quick to reply to all inquires. My clients love how easy it is to book and the fact that there is an easily accessible app to use on the go is awesome as well.

Cons

Sometimes there are errors that I don’t know how to fix, but again.. I just have to contact the team and they walk me through it easily.

Studio Ninja has amazing potential if the support and development team listened to their users rather than just stick to their road map. their FB forum has dozens of posts daily with people asking for features and fixes to issues and all are fobbed off or "added to future development" rather than addressed. I have used other CRM's before and never been treated so poorly and ignored so much.

Pros

Pretty to look at and has some great potential as a CRM

Cons

Very buggy software. The development team is focused on new development rather than fixing issues. Tolerated this for 9 months but finally decided I'd had enough. When I spoke out I was degraded by the support team and made to feel my opinion didn't matter at all.

I love studio ninja, very easy to use. I’m a Wedding and sports photographer from New Jersey and this website helps me keep updated with all my clients and upcoming assignments. I've tried Tave and other softwares but Studio Ninja is by far the best I've come across.

Pros

The convenience of it, the ability to manage upcoming jobs, invoices, calendar utility. I love everything about studio ninja & the support desk is always ready to help!

Cons

nothing to dislike, if any changes need to be made - they're already on top of updaupdatingteing the site & always finding new ways to improve it.

Cons

There are a few features we as users are still waiting on, but the great thing is that the Studio Ninja team take user suggestions into consideration, and they also keep you in the loop on what they're working on upgrading.

The Studio Ninja team are amazing. They're all experts on the product, really patient and answered every question I had (which was a lot). I was looking at another solution but the team's service has made me want to move forward with studio ninja. A great product with a great team!

Pros

The automation that SN provides has saved me hours of manual work which has allowed me to better serve customers and focus on strategic business growth.

Cons

More of a nice-to-have: more flexibility for clients to communicate. Otherwise, SN is the perfect photographer's business management tool!

Great software. Makes running my business so much easier. Wish it worked with Quickbooks Self-employed but it doesn't need to. Happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Pros

Studio Ninja is great. It's still being developed and updated so is improving all the time. I love that it takes lots of the time consuming admin tasks of our business, consolidates them and makes them easy to do. It's easy to use, and has a simple, smart interface. I like the client portal end too, it's only basic but does the job and clients like it!

Cons

It's not as good as competitors, its automation and customisation is a bit lacking, but this is reflected in the price. We decided it would work for us while we're still building, but it may be that we have to switch provider in the future. Saying that, like I said, they're working really hard and improving all the time! And they're super active on live chat and in the facebook group.

I came across Studio Ninja from a Facebook Group and signed up for a free account. Unlike most of the other studio management software I've used before, SN is beautifully designed, surprisingly simple to use and much quicker to set up. It is not stacked with super powerful features but then I don't need them for what I do anyway. SN is created by two Australian photographers who understood the essential parts of running a successful photography business. The founders are super friendly and they are always answering support requests quickly. Chris even called me to help me navigate the software... seriously, these guys really go above and beyond with their customer support. Some features are still in development but SN is a great fit for most of my needs. Can't recommend it enough!

I've been in the business for about 20 years and hands down this is the best company I've worked with. I asked them where I could leave a review because they are so perfect that I needed to tell the world. Whoever is running this company is doing everything good and the team deserves 5 stars. I'm truly impressed with their system but also with the people that work there. They care, and that's why my job is easier. Thank you Studio Ninja!

### "Who was I before Studio Ninja?"

Prior to purchasing Studio Ninja, I had tried out most of the suggested photography-related studio management options. Literally, I free-trialed quite a few. What I loved about Studio Ninja was that I immediately recognized its process. It was fairly easy to learn and has made my life infinitely more organized. I’m excited to utilize this program with my clients more than ever.

Pros

I love the ease with which it provides its users. Studio Ninja is extremely intuitive without being unattainable to learn. It has all of the resources you need, without bombarding you with an impractical interface.

Cons

So far, I’ve had no complaints. It was fairly easy to learn, and anything I didn’t immediately grasp, their customer service has been BAR NONE amazingly helpful, thorough, and quick.
