Owner Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Overall, ISN has been great" August 13, 2025 4.0 I have been using ISN since late 2020. I should have started using it when I started the business in 2016. Overall, ISN has been great, support is great, the product is great, the tools for customer follow up and retention are great. I use it for all my follow-up which used to take me about 20 hours a week. Follow up is key to success in any business. No regrets. Pros It works and if used to it's fullest, it will generate income. It saved me from hiring office help as my business grew. Cons The massive price increase a couple years ago really bothered me. The company line was that it was to make it more fair to the small businesses. I'm a small business, one man show. I still haven't figured out how that helped me. I disliked the reasoning behind the price increase more than the price increase itself. I charge a lot because my product is worth it. That's all you have to say. It's ability to connect with other software programs we use and make transactions seamless is priceless. Pros We have been using ISN for many years and they are, by far, the most comprehensive back office/business management software. The reporting capabilities and data management is not comparable to anything else out there specific to the inspection industry. Cons There are a lot of glitches, like with any software company. Some downtime with the system but they are always quick to adjust. Do we use it every day and is it an essential tool? Yes. Do I think there can be huge improvements? Yes. Do I feel listened to as a customer? No Pros ISN is easy to use, staff can pick up on training quickly, and most of how ISN is used has a very intuitive interface. You can build out more complicated processes and streamline how you communicate with your clients relatively easily. The more you put into ISN the more automated your life can be. The automation and high level of tracking for individual orders and to the company as a whole have been the best features. Cons Ever since Porch purchased ISN they have been on a steady decline in the product and customer service. They are definitely doing forced migrations to use tools that circle back to Porch and adding another layer of complication in our communication with our clients. Customer service has also been severely lacking, as a long-time user I often feel I know more about the interworking of ISN than the first level of tech support, and problems often are not resolved or take forever to resolve. The price increase was also pitched as a saving, but in actuality doubled our costs. They also have a habit of pushing out updates on MONDAY!!! where there is pure chaos as nothing works right and we are left to limp along until they put patches and fix bugs. It has even gotten so bad that it has impacted our ability to make money. Reason for choosing Inspection Support Network Given we made this change in 2017 a lot has changed with ISN. At the time it seemed more flexible, inclusive, and controllable. It answered our need to put automation in place and remove redundancies that existed from our past system. However, our use and needs have changed over the years. That customer loyalty is not a guarantee. I cannot imagine working without it now. Pros As a long time, user I cannot say enough good about ISN. I cannot imagine working without the service. Customer service has always been responsive, usually immediately resolving my problem or answering my questions. The system works flawlessly. I would recommend the ISN to any inspector whether its a one man shop or multi-inspector business. Cons I really struggle to find anything I least like about ISN. Over a thousand transactions and their usually flawless. Pros Been using it for 5 years. Always great customer service never any major issues. Never had any issues with security. Rarely have any bugs. After the inspection the report is easy to upload and manage. Lots of payment options. The support has been great. A company gets a good price on the product. Cons Realtors have a hard time accessing the report. I often have to reset the dashboard. I typically will have to send it to the manually. However, I can also see ISN being left behind by it's competitors if certain things aren't done - reports don't really help on performance of a business, the ARM needs to be updated for marketing efforts, there HAS to be an email drip campaign. Take a look at he activity tracker that \[sensitive content hidden\] has on our monthly calls. The are real things that franchise owners bring to us - not one offs like from our big \[sensitive content hidden\]. If these guys and gals are asking for this stuff I can only imagine what the independents are needing. Pros Company has used this product for years. Great product and owners love it. Cons No drip campaign, making an email seems like I stepped back in time to 2001 - just look at the user inteface. Also when I pick a container in the email template maker I can't see what it looks like. ARM seems like it was half way thought out and then forgotten about. Why in the world isn't the client and agents automatically set up to receive text messages. You have to select a text box. The reports aren't very useful. From Keeping records neatly in 1 cloud based software, to email/ sms automation for appointment reminders and request feedback. Clearly and easily keeping calendars for all inspectors. It is fairly straight forward to set up; took us a while to achieve all we wanted it to do, but it does everything we need and want it to do! We integrate many softwares with ISN including our reporting software 3D. Cons Cons: Agent Dashboard only displays buyer agent reports. We perform a lot of inspections for listing agents and when inputting that info into the system, makes for an unpleasant conversation when they call letting me know they are not the buyers agent, but i proceed to explain, "that is just so you are able to see all your reports in the same place...". This could be solved with a toggle on agent tab, -add to agent dashboard or not- I would like to see the incorporation of an assistant tab. In some cases, many agents will have the same assistant. Or 1 agent will have many assistants, each with a file to take care. Add an "additional client" information field. In many cases couples that are contracting us, want both/all names on ALL correspondence, for whatever reason, that way it stands, we can only add 1 name at a time, or add it in an ODD way... Home Inspector / Owner Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Excellence In Customer Service " November 30, 2021 5.0 Pros The software's email features, ease of scheduling, and report delivery options drew me towards ISN as my solution, their technical support customer service is what exceeded my expectations. Any question I have they have worked to answer and explain the condition in a clear and concise manner so that I understand why the software functions the way it does. Five stars to the support staff!!! Cons The method in which the online scheduler and office scheduler are intertwined makes it difficult to customize service offerings for each scheduling method. The online schedule becomes cluttered quickly based on the current design requiring scrolling when several services are offered. Here's some of my notes from a recent troubleshooting event: I cant keep a consistent look in Office Scheduler and Online Scheduler do to the way their currently integrated. Ideally the control for the detached building drop down could be displayed on the services page instead of the properties page in online scheduler, this functionally works it just needs a tweak to make chronological sense when selecting services in the OLS. Any way to get that added as a feature update? Creating a fee based service dropdown should ideally appear on the services page in the online scheduler. Is there any way to create a drop down that would provide a list of services with check boxes which you could select multiple services from? If not, doing so with the ability to hover over each service and a pop-up with info about each service could be another way to consolidate the appearance of the scheduler page in the online scheduler. Pros The ISN software is your personal secretary. It automatically sends reports, asks for payment and signatures, and it is easily customizable. Moreover, the customer support/service is literally phenomenal. If every industry followed ISN's customer support/service, there would be a lot more happier people. Cons I thought long and hard about answering the question "what did you like least about this software", and I could not come up with anything. It's really perfection. It really is. December 2, 2021 5.0 Pleased with the software and often recommend it to other home inspectors. I find that most of the smaller company's (1-3 employees) do not want to incur the cost but I find it beneficial. Pros I like the database for keeping our customer's information in one place, I like the ease of use with the desktop version, I like how quickly customer services responds to my inquiries, I like now all of my inspection information is readily available. Cons I do not like the mobile app as I don't think it's as user friendly as some others, I wish the mileage computing report would compute the mileage as apposed to me having to "click" on the compute button between each inspection. I did not find the mileage tracking to be user friendly. Of course this could all be user error on my behalf too. It is crucial to our business. Pros Templates are great and the concept of multi user is great, but doesn't necessarily work as it should. Cons Lack of functionality nor support for Android systems is really a detriment. Often the multi user feature doesn't work well and we will have multiple users working in the same sections, creating issues and conflicts. We will be switching over as soon as we can get everything set up. Pros Customer service has been great up until my last interaction, ease of scheduling and notifications were very nice. Cons Price is now ridiculous compared to other services. The 150% increase to add weekend customer service and a mobile app is absolutely no value to my company, nor to other inspectors according to what I am reading on the inspector chat boards. It was a good decision for the competition though, as I see inspectors are flooding over to the other alternatives. Help is available when I need it. Pros Support network and general ease of use. Cons It takes too many clicks to set the events I want for specific orders; pay at close has been annoying; Porch is a bad partnership...I wish they had no trace of relationship with ISN.
