### "Overall, ISN has been great"

I have been using ISN since late 2020. I should have started using it when I started the business in 2016. Overall, ISN has been great, support is great, the product is great, the tools for customer follow up and retention are great. I use it for all my follow-up which used to take me about 20 hours a week. Follow up is key to success in any business. No regrets.

Pros

It works and if used to it's fullest, it will generate income. It saved me from hiring office help as my business grew.

Cons

The massive price increase a couple years ago really bothered me. The company line was that it was to make it more fair to the small businesses. I'm a small business, one man show. I still haven't figured out how that helped me. I disliked the reasoning behind the price increase more than the price increase itself. I charge a lot because my product is worth it. That's all you have to say.

### "A Valuable Tool for any Inspection Company"

Overall, we could not run our business the way we do without ISN. It's ability to connect with other software programs we use and make transactions seamless is priceless.

Pros

We have been using ISN for many years and they are, by far, the most comprehensive back office/business management software. The reporting capabilities and data management is not comparable to anything else out there specific to the inspection industry.

Cons

There are a lot of glitches, like with any software company. Some downtime with the system but they are always quick to adjust.

### "Beware! Not as good as they lead you to believe. "

Started good...downhill from there. Our customers became irritated because they weren't getting their reports on time or because it was confusing on how to actually get the report from their ISN link and ,until we dropped Guardian (their preferred paymant company), customers had alot of frustration with the payment process.

Pros

The process for ordering a new Insepction was pretty esay.

Cons

Well it is a PORCH company so we should've known. Constant problems with getting our reports sent to the customer is one of the big ones! Then we put money into an account with them for their silly fees and low and behold when we decided to quit their program....those monies were now non-refundable. That's Porches M-O. We had the same thing happen when we used them for our constructon business years ago. Had we known it was a Porch company we would've went with a different company. One positive..we did have one great support person, shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\]!!

I've been utilizing the ISN for over 10 years and can't image running our business without it. We do payments, client agreements, 3r party management, report delivery, scheduling, payrole, etc.

Pros

It is dependable! Work order management in the ISN is so customizable and handles all the components of running a multi inspector firm!

Cons

Lack of integrated CRM functions like phone dialers, reminders, touch schedule for follow ups, etc. It would be nice to make that part more robust. Metric tracking for lead generation and outreach.

They have always been very easy to work with. Using the online chat or help or calling for help has always been quick and easy. They have always helped me with any issue and told me how to make any changes I needed.

Pros

The software makes billing, agreement signing and getting payments easy and seamless. The price is also very good. I really feal that I get my moneys worth and that it makes my business run more smoothly.

Cons

Sometimes it get's slow going from one area to another. Going from inspections to calendar or from scheduled inspections to completed.

My overall experience after 10 plus years is nothing less than great! I cannot imagine working without it now.

Pros

As a long time, user I cannot say enough good about ISN. I cannot imagine working without the service. Customer service has always been responsive, usually immediately resolving my problem or answering my questions. The system works flawlessly. I would recommend the ISN to any inspector whether its a one man shop or multi-inspector business.

Cons

I really struggle to find anything I least like about ISN. I have been a home inspector for 27years and 25 of those years I have been self employed. I have been a customer of ISN for the last 10 years or so.

Cons

Now they only allow their preferred merchant service which is inconveient. I will also suggest they diversify the payment method including Zelle, Venmo, paypal and Apply pay for better customer satisfaction.

Pros

Everything in one location. Contract and payment emails all handled with ease. No need to chase anyone down for signatures or payments. Reports are not accessible until all paperwork is taken care of.

Cons

Minor issues with emailing Google accounts. They were able to provide a quick fix to your Gmail and go daddy emails.

Great. Always quick to respond and very knowledgeable. Over a thousand transactions and their usually flawless.

Pros

Been using it for 5 years. Always great customer service never any major issues. Never had any issues with security. Rarely have any bugs. After the inspection the report is easy to upload and manage. Lots of payment options. The support has been great. A company gets a good price on the product.

Cons

Realtors have a hard time accessing the report. I often have to reset the dashboard. I typically will have to send it to the manually.

Complete package of services, easy onboarding, outstanding customer support. They have resolved issues created by other companies where the other company did not correct their own problem.

Cons

Nothing I really dislike. I prefer not to use some of the options they offer but the choice is there for me to make.

I really love how everything is kept organized. If I have any issues, support is a call or message away! And I love having the pay site. I use no other and everyone has been happy so far.

Cons

What I liked least about ISN is not having enough time to learn everything I need to know about it. I don't like the fact that they prefer message over call for Tech Support.

Overall I am very happy with ISN, I think it is a great system. However, I can also see ISN being left behind by it's competitors if certain things aren't done - reports don't really help on performance of a business, the ARM needs to be updated for marketing efforts, there HAS to be an email drip campaign. Take a look at he activity tracker that \[sensitive content hidden\] has on our monthly calls. The are real things that franchise owners bring to us - not one offs like from our big \[sensitive content hidden\]. If these guys and gals are asking for this stuff I can only imagine what the independents are needing.

Pros

Company has used this product for years. Great product and owners love it.

Cons

No drip campaign, making an email seems like I stepped back in time to 2001 - just look at the user inteface. Also when I pick a container in the email template maker I can't see what it looks like. ARM seems like it was half way thought out and then forgotten about. Why in the world isn't the client and agents automatically set up to receive text messages. You have to select a text box. The reports aren't very useful. They don't get into the heart of business management.

### "Our most critical software!"

Pros

ISN has been a great tool for our company. From Keeping records neatly in 1 cloud based software, to email/ sms automation for appointment reminders and request feedback. Clearly and easily keeping calendars for all inspectors. It is fairly straight forward to set up; took us a while to achieve all we wanted it to do, but it does everything we need and want it to do! We integrate many softwares with ISN including our reporting software 3D.

Cons

Cons: Agent Dashboard only displays buyer agent reports. We perform a lot of inspections for listing agents and when inputting that info into the system, makes for an unpleasant conversation when they call letting me know they are not the buyers agent, but i proceed to explain, "that is just so you are able to see all your reports in the same place...". This could be solved with a toggle on agent tab, -add to agent dashboard or not- I would like to see the incorporation of an assistant tab. In some cases, many agents will have the same assistant. Or 1 agent will have many assistants, each with a file to take care. Add an "additional client" information field. In many cases couples that are contracting us, want both/all names on ALL correspondence, for whatever reason, that way it stands, we can only add 1 name at a time, or add it in an ODD way...

Overall I have been satisfied with the experience which also includes the help desk which for most software companies is much to be desired. I like that ISN help desk is available and there to assist.

Pros

The fact that it can be adjusted to fit the needs of the inspector. It is easy to learn and understand.

Cons

It can be glitchy. Load different things can be slow and undependable at time. This happens on occasion. Some of the parts can be refined to help work with the system.

HomeTeam franchise did the homework and test of the products for us and I believe it was a good choice.

### "Lots of Bugs / Makes Us Look Bad, Very Expensive"

Some things about ISN are okay, but they don't step up when the make a mistake and they seem to want to maximize their own profit at your expense. Along those lines, awhile back they announced that we had to use their payment processor no matter what. Once a bunch of companies started bailing, they reversed course, but it goes to show that they will do what makes them the most money, not what works best for the inspectors.

Pros

Some features like limiting second appointments within a few miles of the first inspection is a great option (when it works).

Cons

The system is very buggy and the administrators don't seem to care. We have had multiple instances of inspections being booked without our inspectors getting notifications. ISN researches the issue, finds a bug, and says they're working on it. No recognition is given for the fact that they made our company look bad (while we're paying them $6 an appointment for scheduling) nor to the fact that their buggy software is costing us time and money. Also, I would be extremely suspect of their reviews on this platform. In the past 2 years, I received 4 emails from ISN offering to pay us for a review.

Reason for choosing Inspection Support Network

Some features looked better, but we're probably going to have to leave ISN now because it's too buggy and is making us look bad to our customers.

To our knowledge, there hasn't been a time we've offered to pay for system reviews, so we are unsure of the emails you've received. Lastly, communication was sent out about our pricing change detailing the reasons why. ### "Took my business to the next level"

ISN is the face of my company. Before my clients meet me or even talk to me on the phone they have received a confirmation email from me that was generated from ISN once the order was placed. All scheduled emails and sms messages are professionally sent making my business look professional

Pros

This software is my "Business Management Software" . The ability to schedule, track and communicate to my clients is streamlined. Being able to have my agreement signed online was the biggest advantage I gained when I began using this software over 13 years ago. I used to email a pdf agreement that my clients would have to print, sign, scan and email back to me prior to the inspection. Nobody has time for that.

Cons

The software used to pre-fill in the property sq footage and build date once you entered the address. I miss this option but I believe it was tied into Zillow and may no longer be supported.

### "Make your job easier "

Originally we had paper agreements, invoices, and letters. ISN has made my job so much easier especially when we have out-of-town clients with electronic signatures on our agreements and automatic credit card payments.

Pros

ISN definitely makes my job easier. I am able to load the information and send out the agreement and invoice and prepare the inspection for my inspectors. My clients receive very professional notifications and continue to keep them in touch at 60 days and again at one year. I can easily send them a template with just a click when there are rescheduled or canceled inspections

Cons

The only Con is the $6 per inspection typed up with ISN. Fortunately, we are working with Porch which pays for it. I have had a few complaints from my clients about Porch.

### "Worth the investment for a single operator company"

Overall I highly recommend. I was skeptical at first but now would not know how I would function with out ISN. The system is great, the support team is super responsive and the cost is trivial to the value it brings.

Pros

It helps streamline the initiation to report delivery process and automates all the steps. It cuts my back office time down and there are no more human errors. It also ensures payments are made and eliminates having to chase the checks. I get days back each week on work that I no longer have to do and I can focus on building my business.

Cons

A lot of the email templates and some of the coding needs to be customized. I have used support and they help a lot but there is more that I need/should do to better fit the platform to my business. I also wish the report writer I us was compatible. I do not use large commercial report writer so I have double data entry when it come to that portion of the process.

Its par. I have seen others use Spectora and Home Gauge and Home Inspector Pro office who are really happy with their systems.

Pros

I like the scheduling aspect and emails sent to clients when they emails work. A full class should be offered at home inspection conferences for ISN users.

Cons

My email templates. I needed help with one issue and the gentleman sent me instructions on how to do it on my own. I was extremely busy trying to run the business, and I asked if he can do it for me. I assumed I was not a priority with him.

### "Customize everything"

Experience has been excellent. Starting up they have a web meeting to go over the product and are always there to help you figure out what you need. They don't just "do" everything for you. They will show you "how" to if you ask them.

Pros

You can customize ISN to do almost anything you can imagine.

Cons

They do not have the ability to add an algorithm to the pricing model for inspections. I base my inspections on age and sqft. There is no way for the client to get an accurate cost on the home inspection when they use the online scheduler. I have to run the numbers every time an inspection is scheduled online.

This software provides for efficient operations for my team(s). It allows for us to grow each day in our ability to serve clients faster and with a more trusted report each time we do an inspection.

Pros

comprehensive tool to create efficient inspection reporting for our clients. Easy to learn, like the adaptability.

Cons

Movement of pictures from a main category into a remark without the ability to drag and drop. Currently you must delete and re-do the remark.

### "Easy, Fast and Flexible"

Love the product. Would like a best practice guide for most used features.

Pros

From scheduling, reporting and payment easy and painless. Couldn’t imagine doing the job without it.

Cons

When no Wi-Fi or cellular connection it is impossible to load report.
