### "ISN Saves Me Time, Money and The System Just Works!"

I subscribed primarily for the ability to consistently generate and deliver the inspection agreement. All the additional automations, notifications, discounted credit card processor and report and invoice delivery are just icing on the cake.

Pros

The fast and effective response from customer support when I have a problem that I cannot figure out on my own.

Cons

Initially it was navigating through the backend setting up the variety of components. It took awhile to become proficient in building a process. When I talked to a support tech about they said it was a powerful system and it can take a couple of years to get good at it. When I said I had been studying it for 8 months the tech was surprised. He said wow, you are doing really good! Also, I do not use the built-in report writer, and the system allows me function without it.

### "Owner - Better Life Inspection Company"

If I do have a question they are quick to answer. Very few times over the years did I have to call. Most of the time the answer is there in front of me.

Pros

Best thing I ever did, has made my life much easier to run my inspection business! No more hassle with contracts and back and forth with clients to get them to sign items and pay there bills. Everting is done with a klick of a button!

Cons

Nothing comes to mind! When I first signed up it took maybe 3 inspections to learn my way around the system. After that it just became a natural thing to use. Was easy to have any one new in the office to learn to use the system

Pros

The automation and total collection of agents and clients along with the dashboard. It also since well with payments and skylight calendar for my wife

Cons

Sometimes it may be a little harder to navigate issues although customer service has been excellent.

### "Great value and easy to use!"

Overall, ISN is easy to use, and is the perfect software for our small inspection business. We have been able to navigate it easily, and have had good response when we need to contact ISN with a question. We have been using ISN for 8 years, and we are still very happy with this software!

Pros

I like the ease of creating the orders, and that everyone involved in the inspection is easily notified. I like the new feature that fills in the property info automatically. Another great feature is that all the agent and client info is saved, which is great for finding our repeat customers and agents! I love that payments are processed same day!

Cons

I wish there was a feature that would notify clients automatically that their signature and payment authorization has been received.

### "A Canadian perspective."

I am a Canadian business and have thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed all that ISN has to offer. While seeing several complaints from other geographic areas on line about some aspects of ISN, I have not had a problem of any type or form.

Pros

It is a full inspection operation system for scheduling, automatic emailing, bookkeeping and more. It syncs beautifully with HIP. I have had very little experience with their customer support, but that's a great thing! What experience I have had has been quick, efficient and positive. It has been very reliable and still stands out as a great value for my money.

Cons

Prices have risen lately but, in fairness, so has every other product. I occasionally get concerned about ISN issues I read about in online posts, but I have yet to experience any of them within my business.

I've been using ISN since 2018 and I would not use any other product. The product is easy to customize and if I get stuck, ISN support team will come to my rescue.

Pros

The product is easy to customize and their customer support services are top notch. Their chat bot is very responsive.

Cons

If I had one, it will be not enough tutorial on how to use ISN Report Writer and other customize products.

Pros

ISN is very user friendly. They are very quick to respond with questions and help. It is also very affordable.

Cons

The only con is the amount of features that are offered when first setting up and not knowing exactly where to start.

Pros

Cons

When I partnered with Porch, I had several complaints about be contacted by a 3rd party and accused of selling my clients information.

Complete package of services, easy onboarding, outstanding customer support. They have resolved issues created by other companies where the other company did not correct their own problem.

Nothing I really dislike. I prefer not to use some of the options they offer but the choice is there for me to make.

I’ve had some issues with SMS usage and mass email usage…. still looking for a work around for that.

Loving the way the inspection reports and organization is held, the value for money and the way that payment is collected through the automated system and secure processing. It’s just great.

Pros

The whole combination of security and customer support on our reports it’s just flawless, i will call it excellent.

The amount of bugs and issues that have been presented along the way, having to redirect myself to support taking my time of work has been discouraging.

Pros

It's easy to use and works well for my scheduling needs. The process is seamless from creating an order to sending out a report.

Cons

It's difficult to update the v3 version of online scheduler and to get packages set-up and working correctly online.

Pros

I really love how everything is kept organized. If I have any issues, support is a call or message away! And I love having the pay site. I use no other and everyone has been happy so far.

Cons

What I liked least about ISN is not having enough time to learn everything I need to know about it. I don't like the fact that they prefer message over call for Tech Support.

So far, my experience has been very good to great. There is just so much to learn in order to take full advantage of the program. I look forward to customizing it to use it to it's full extent.

Pros

It is very robust and deep. I feel like I learn something new everyday I use it. When I can't find an answer I'm looking for, it's usually easy to get someone on chat to walk me through my challenge.

Cons

Many of the help pages are older and outdated from what it looks like now, so it can be challenging to follow some of the step-by-step instructions if too many things have changed regarding that help topic.

I switched to ISN from the service I was using, because ISN is catered towards inspectors, as opposed to my previous service that was general for small business

Pros

It handles the day to day work of communicating with my clients and collecting my fees. Also the great tech support is valuable

Cons

There is a learning curve to learn how to use it. However, ISN has excellent tech support by chat. And sometimes I need tech support at night when I am working, however it's not expected that chat would be available 24 hours

Overall I am very happy with ISN, I think it is a great system. However, I can also see ISN being left behind by it's competitors if certain things aren't done - reports don't really help on performance of a business, the ARM needs to be updated for marketing efforts, there HAS to be an email drip campaign. Take a look at he activity tracker that \[sensitive content hidden\] has on our monthly calls. The are real things that franchise owners bring to us - not one offs like from our big \[sensitive content hidden\]. If these guys and gals are asking for this stuff I can only imagine what the independents are needing.

Pros

Company has used this product for years. Great product and owners love it.

Cons

No drip campaign, making an email seems like I stepped back in time to 2001 - just look at the user inteface. Also when I pick a container in the email template maker I can't see what it looks like. ARM seems like it was half way thought out and then forgotten about. Why in the world isn't the client and agents automatically set up to receive text messages. You have to select a text box. The reports aren't very useful. They don't get into the heart of business management.

### "The Good, The Bad, and The Frustrating"

Very mixed. Do we use it every day and is it an essential tool? Yes. Do I think there can be huge improvements? Yes. Do I feel listened to as a customer? No

Pros

ISN is easy to use, staff can pick up on training quickly, and most of how ISN is used has a very intuitive interface. You can build out more complicated processes and streamline how you communicate with your clients relatively easily. The more you put into ISN the more automated your life can be. The automation and high level of tracking for individual orders and to the company as a whole have been the best features.

Cons

Ever since Porch purchased ISN they have been on a steady decline in the product and customer service. They are definitely doing forced migrations to use tools that circle back to Porch and adding another layer of complication in our communication with our clients. Customer service has also been severely lacking, as a long-time user I often feel I know more about the interworking of ISN than the first level of tech support, and problems often are not resolved or take forever to resolve. The price increase was also pitched as a saving, but in actuality doubled our costs. They also have a habit of pushing out updates on MONDAY!!! where there is pure chaos as nothing works right and we are left to limp along until they put patches and fix bugs. It has even gotten so bad that it has impacted our ability to make money.

Reason for choosing Inspection Support Network

Given we made this change in 2017 a lot has changed with ISN. At the time it seemed more flexible, inclusive, and controllable. It answered our need to put automation in place and remove redundancies that existed from our past system. However, our use and needs have changed over the years. That customer loyalty is not a guarantee.

I used ISN before porch bought in. Prior to that, it was great and functioned great and smoothly. It has become increasingly more difficult to use with longer lag times, and days we just can't even log in. We are concerned about our client data and do not want it shared with anyone. In addition, we are not happy that because we don't use porch, we pay an exorbitant amount of money for a program that is not as good now as it was years ago. In addition, why are they doing updates during business hours when it adversely impacts everyone's scheduling. They have done updates on the busiest days of the week instead of at night or on the weekend. This needs to stop happening as it is not good for business.

Pros

I love the system itself. It is so easy and user friendly. The orders are easy to read and schedule and it is easy to train new people. I like being able to pull reports for inspectors to help with payroll. I like the automated email and text messages that I have set up.

Cons

So, I would like to be able to pull more accurate reports that tell how many services are added with inspections to know how marketing is going. I do not like how slow it is now and how hard it is to even get it to open. Scheduling online has always been big for us and it has been hard for people to use because of the issues.

Back then, it was the best option.

### "ISN is indespensable for all home inspectors"

ISN is a must have component of our business. The support staff is outstanding.

Pros

The ease of administration is beyond reproach. Adding, editing, and removing users is very simple. ISN is THE one-stop-shop for all things inspection office related. It has saved us from being forced to hire office staff.

Cons

The reporting is a little rigid and a little generalized for our liking. We are still able to extract all the data required but it would be much nicer to have a pre-formatted template instead of having to reinvent the wheel with several of our reports.

ISN pricing is surprisingly low and easy to absorb as a cost of doing business, especially when compared to hiring an office staff to accomplish the same tasks. The sheer depth of ISN's capabilities alone prohibited us from considering another 'like' product.

### "Using ISN Software"

Pros

I schedule home inspections. This software makes it easy to have a conversation with the buyer or agent asking them about the property, what they would like to have inspected, when they would like to schedule the inspection since the calendar is right at hand and then asking them for their contact information. It's also easy to text or email the client all from one screen.

Cons

So far, I like everything about this software. I was pretty much self-taught and found it very easy to navigate and when I had a question, the Help Site was easy to use.

Overall I have been satisfied with the experience which also includes the help desk which for most software companies is much to be desired. I like that ISN help desk is available and there to assist.

Pros

The fact that it can be adjusted to fit the needs of the inspector. It is easy to learn and understand.

Cons

It can be glitchy. Load different things can be slow and undependable at time. This happens on occasion. Some of the parts can be refined to help work with the system.

HomeTeam franchise did the homework and test of the products for us and I believe it was a good choice.
