### "Our most critical software!"

Pros

ISN has been a great tool for our company. From Keeping records neatly in 1 cloud based software, to email/ sms automation for appointment reminders and request feedback. Clearly and easily keeping calendars for all inspectors. It is fairly straight forward to set up; took us a while to achieve all we wanted it to do, but it does everything we need and want it to do! We integrate many softwares with ISN including our reporting software 3D.

Cons

Cons: Agent Dashboard only displays buyer agent reports. We perform a lot of inspections for listing agents and when inputting that info into the system, makes for an unpleasant conversation when they call letting me know they are not the buyers agent, but i proceed to explain, "that is just so you are able to see all your reports in the same place...". This could be solved with a toggle on agent tab, -add to agent dashboard or not- I would like to see the incorporation of an assistant tab. In some cases, many agents will have the same assistant. Or 1 agent will have many assistants, each with a file to take care. Add an "additional client" information field. In many cases couples that are contracting us, want both/all names on ALL correspondence, for whatever reason, that way it stands, we can only add 1 name at a time, or add it in an ODD way...

### "ISN Will Change Your Life For The Better!"

Time saving! Headache reduction! Comprehensive record keeping! More hands off involvement with scheduling WHEN clients/agents take advantage of it. Makes for a much more efficient, effective and professional operation on a daily basis. Running a home inspection business without a product this powerful and effective is probably a dumb idea!

Pros

ISN has relieved the daily process of managing inspections to a powerful, concise, reliable process that gives back valuable time previously wasted moving paperwork around and chasing problems down. The customer service is fantastic, fast, reliable, and almost always immediately effective. If the answer is not provided quickly, someone will find it and get back right away. NEVER had an issue that could not be resolved, or wasn't already experienced by others and worked out.

Cons

It could be considered pricey until the value of time is compared, then it really is very valuable. Some of the integration is technical and gets convoluted, but once set up - seamless.

Looked at HIP Office briefly, but it was still in the early stages. Multiple recommendations from others for ISN. Really a no-brainer!

### "Worth every penny!"

This has been one of the best purchases we have every made for our inspection business. It is also one of the best values for this type of service/system. We are very happy with the product and the results in our office over the years.

Pros

ISN software is intuitive and easy to use. It is powerful, yet simple in that anyone can use it and be up and running in no time. It works very well for organizing an inspection office and helping to be efficient - not only with inspections, but data base management and marketing efforts.

Cons

Very little - not enought to write about.

### "Lots of Bugs / Makes Us Look Bad, Very Expensive"

Some things about ISN are okay, but they don't step up when the make a mistake and they seem to want to maximize their own profit at your expense. Along those lines, awhile back they announced that we had to use their payment processor no matter what. Once a bunch of companies started bailing, they reversed course, but it goes to show that they will do what makes them the most money, not what works best for the inspectors.

Pros

Some features like limiting second appointments within a few miles of the first inspection is a great option (when it works).

Cons

The system is very buggy and the administrators don't seem to care. We have had multiple instances of inspections being booked without our inspectors getting notifications. ISN researches the issue, finds a bug, and says they're working on it. No recognition is given for the fact that they made our company look bad (while we're paying them $6 an appointment for scheduling) nor to the fact that their buggy software is costing us time and money. Also, I would be extremely suspect of their reviews on this platform. In the past 2 years, I received 4 emails from ISN offering to pay us for a review.

Some features looked better, but we're probably going to have to leave ISN now because it's too buggy and is making us look bad to our customers.

So we're more than happy to get on a call to discuss any issues that have caused dismay in the past or are still present. Our management team sends the option out to review the system a few months throughout the year, as well as our tech team for monthly inspector reviews. To our knowledge, there hasn't been a time we've offered to pay for system reviews, so we are unsure of the emails you've received. Lastly, communication was sent out about our pricing change detailing the reasons why. Overall I enjoyed working with ISN. The online staff were very helpful, especially \[sensitive content hidden\]. I like working with people who I remember and who remember me. I also prefer to work with people who have deep knowledge of their own company and are helpful. Overall ISN had a great staff, but the \[sensitive content hidden\] made a bad decision in letting it be bought by Porch. Mergers and Acquisitions can be bad too.

Pros

The pros are scheduling. It can do almost anything and it includes users, not just inspectors. The overall platform is user-friendly and easy to navigate. The chat is easy to use and ISN is very responsive to questions and assisting. I love their calendar, one of the best I have ever seen.

Cons

I like customization of anything, e it the Invoice template and information provided or details within things. There were several times that I couldn't customer or change client info or wording so that it displayed as such on the Invoice as a discount or used specific wording. That was frustrating. I don't think they are a report writing company either. It isn't a 1-stop shop. They offer scheduling software only. Many people like 1-stop shop, our business is no different. Lastly, they were bought by a company that most of us at our business do not want to have dealing with. That was the final nail in the coffin. We believe strongly in keeping clients information private and secure. It is not a data grab to reach people, ever.

It had the best scheduling software to date at the time.

### "ISN works for us!"

Pleased with the software and often recommend it to other home inspectors. I find that most of the smaller company's (1-3 employees) do not want to incur the cost but I find it beneficial.

Pros

I like the database for keeping our customer's information in one place, I like the ease of use with the desktop version, I like how quickly customer services responds to my inquiries, I like now all of my inspection information is readily available.

Cons

I do not like the mobile app as I don't think it's as user friendly as some others, I wish the mileage computing report would compute the mileage as apposed to me having to "click" on the compute button between each inspection. I did not find the mileage tracking to be user friendly. Of course this could all be user error on my behalf too.

### "Saves a Tremendous Amount of Time!"

Pros

Before I discovered ISN everything I did was redundant... confirmation email to client, confirmation email to buyer and seller agents, email inspection agreement, send payment request ect... Now with one click of a button all personalized emails go out at once as soon as the order is scheduled. I also love that my inspection agreement and a secure credit card payment link are emailed to the client as soon as the order is scheduled. My agreement is usually signed and the inspection paid for days before the actual inspection takes place, which is nice. If the inspection is not paid when I upload the report it sends an email telling the client that their inspection report is ready to be viewed and will open as soon as payment is made. How GREAT is that? No more chasing people down for payment. These are just a few of the awesome features you get with ISN. Well worth the few dollars per inspection that you pay. Its like having a whole back office at your disposal. I honestly don't think that I could run my business without ISN. Thanks for all you do!!

Cons

There is not much that I don't like about this software. There are a few features that I do not use but that's what makes the software so great, is that you can pick the features you want to use and you do not have to use the features that you do not want or do not need.

Pros

Templates are great and the concept of multi user is great, but doesn't necessarily work as it should.

Cons

Lack of functionality nor support for Android systems is really a detriment. Often the multi user feature doesn't work well and we will have multiple users working in the same sections, creating issues and conflicts.

We are now able to merge our ISNs (we obtained another inspection company that has their own ISN) and being able to merge them we will be able to track our numbers even more efficiently than we are now. There are a lot of great options and updates that have come and we have been using them a lot lately. Compared to where we were when I started 4 years ago, ISN has given us a lot of tools to make things easier and more efficient.

Pros

I like that it helps keep track of all of our orders, clients, agents, and the schedule.

Cons

My biggest issue is that there are some bugs that don’t seem to have a resolution, such as the issue we are having with the time slots changing from 6 hours to 30 minutes when an edit was made. This has happened on more than one occasion and has caused us to double book our inspectors. We have talked to customer support and no one seems to be able to correct this.

### "ISN from hero to zero"

Roses for 6 years, then it all went down the tubes when they snuck in a drastic price increase and priced themselves right out of any future consideration for my company. We will be switching over as soon as we can get everything set up.

Pros

Customer service has been great up until my last interaction, ease of scheduling and notifications were very nice.

Cons

Price is now ridiculous compared to other services. The 150% increase to add weekend customer service and a mobile app is absolutely no value to my company, nor to other inspectors according to what I am reading on the inspector chat boards. It was a good decision for the competition though, as I see inspectors are flooding over to the other alternatives.

It's been very good. Response to any issues is very fast and taken care of. We really appreciate that especially when something happens in the middle of an inspection.

Pros

Honestly, It's the first and only one we've used. But we like the scheduling, automatic notices and reporting features the best. We have ours tailored to what we want and it's easy to make changes to the template.

Cons

As long as we aren't tied to other 3rd party processes I don't have any issues with ISN. We did not like the HUGE price increase. I understand having to adjust prices...but small increments more often are preferred. If it happens again like that we will have to find something else. This time we're just eating the increase.

Good service and features. Becoming too complex, time consuming to implement, and expensive.

Pros

Online calendar/scheduling automation, automated emails, payment processor, and Radon Scheduler.

Cons

Changing from Inspection Types to Services, with agreements and types, became too time consuming to integrate. I spent years putting systems together. The effort I need to put into implementation it so time consuming that I'm considering alternative products to save money, as well.

Reason for choosing Inspection Support Network

I chose ISN because it was widely used in my coaching organization, MIC. It has worked very well over the years, however, I am considering other alternatives due to recent cost increases and overwhelm in options for configuration of inspection types and services. ISN is overall the best, however so many extra and new features seems to create a bottleneck in implementation. There is something to be said by keeping things simple. One can't be all things to all folks.

All in all I am extremely thankful for the service. It has made doing things like follow up emails to clients, sending agreements and providing lots of brochures to clients I likely would not do otherwise.

Pros

Works seamlessly to stay in contact with clients, follow up email features are fantastic! Emails reports and agreements with no effort on my part.

Cons

It is a pretty complex system and has taken me quite sometime to become familiar enough that I can fix most issues myself.

Pros

ISN is very user friendly. There are many functions within ISN that make it a great tool for a scheduler to use. I love the fact that if there is something it can't do, you are able to suggest new features and the team listens and implements some of them. They take their clients' advice. I also appreciate the help desk. They are knowledgeable and able to help. They wait time is short and you can access by chat or a phone call.

Cons

At the moment, I can't think of any negatives.

### "Probably the best of Breed in this segment"

FANTASTIC! We had been using another package, but they stopped innovating so we switched. There is no one that would make us switch again, not even close...

Pros

I like the features and the support. The company is relatively responsive when it comes to new features but FANTASTIC as to supporting users. Callbacks are near-instant and they get it which is most important.

Cons

Pricing sheets are extremely flexible, but that comes at the cost of complexity. There are some pricing functions that have to do with MATH that we would like to see, and we would like to be able to limit the number of inspections per day

Reason for choosing Inspection Support Network

Overall support, features, and the company, at the time, had not done anything dumb in the way of agreements with vendors or other tie-ins. Porch was questionable but has since become a non-issue. Many of the other products have tie-ins that are onerous or deal with personalities that are caustic.

I brought this with me to my new job 3 years ago. We had it in place where I worked before. I was on the testing level for some of the features as they were created. Customer Support is outstanding and they can pretty much do anything you need! - Only complaint is the inability to tailor the Module titles and labels to suit any business. They are Home Inspeciton only. This needs to be able to be changed.

Pros

Felxible, adaptable & consistent - Able to integrate with Google, Quickbooks, and other outside platforms - Auto features and SMS and email work together - Favorite feature is Smart Templates! I can do anything with those!

Cons

Inability to change labels and Module titles - Needs to be flexible for other types of business (like mine) - reporting is messy and not really functional - still requires spreadsheets to be kept outside of the ISN

The system makes sure everyone is aware of when the inspection will take place and performs automated marketing to help everyone to remember us when they are in need of inspection services.

Pros

It works for you 7 days a week and 24 hours a day. It keeps everyone on the same page as to when the inspection will take place. It then follows up with an automated marketing program that helps bring in future business.

Cons

It takes a while to get the system setup.
