Experity

## What is Experity?

Experity is the only company with an entire software suite built specifically for urgent care. Experity’s EMR/PM uses complaint-driven logic, real-time chart updates, and automation that allows you to register patients in under two minutes and chart 90% of the most common visits in under 60 seconds. Real Time Verification, coding recommendations, credit card on file, and billing text reminders help reduce the number of days in AR and collect more payments. Integrations with labs, teleradiology, ePrescribe, and Experity Patient Engagement create a seamless user experience without leaving the EMR/PM. The system is not only scalable, but also supports additional service lines like pediatrics, OccMed, and hybrid primary care to accommodate clinics of all sizes.

The over all experience with experity is very great and highly recommendable software.

Pros

The experity Log book is very user friendly, most of the day the app verifies the insurance automatically. No need to call the Insurance company.

Cons

When the software is down , you won't be able to open documents such as Registration form , insurance cards, and Id's.

Not great. Very basic software for very basic tasks. If you are an experienced biller who has grip on billing cycle and know how things work this is not for you. Its only good for a new user who just started in this field and only know how to do things Experity's way.

Pros

It barely passes as an EHR. Just enough functionality to work the basic tasks of Billing and Coding. Nothing special to like here or count as pros.

Cons

Very non flexible. Payment Posting is a mess. There are no navigational features to move between different functions of the Software. Trackability of things is the second major issue. Keeping track of payments, charges, or patient balance is very hectic. Database wise its also not up to par, you cant see any historical data within the software. every thing needs a report to be extracted. if you want to see charges between two dates, you need a report, if you want to see payment between two dates you need a report, if you want to see patient visits between two dates you need a report.

It definitely gets the job done and I like the simple, user friendliness of the EMR over other products like eclinical works and Athena which have almost too many options in my opinion but the customer service often leaves me feeling let down or unheard. There are a few rockstars there who go above and beyond but I’d like to see an overhauled program with things like better reporting options and web check in that works properly.

Pros

We have used this product since Docutap was the original name and while it’s very simplistic and pretty easy to use when charting and documenting patients, there are flaws with reporting where the software is almost too simplistic and they seem to be stuck on how to improve or maybe just choose not to. I enjoy the charting portion of the EMR (although the diagnosis tab and medications are still hit and miss), but the web check in feature almost never works correctly.

Cons

Web check in almost never works, only ports over some of the entered information which then causes patient to duplicate the work when they arrive and there are no fixes in the works that I’m aware of only trying to sell a package for a different type of check in software. Reporting while fine for simple tasks doesn’t give much in means of detailed financial tracking and a few other things, customer service is lacking unless you talk to certain people like \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] who are awesome

Very positive experience; intuitive and easy to use, not overly complicated and easy to print out needed paperwork for discharge etc.

Pros

Great system; easy to use, easy to track patients and visits. Integrates well with other systems. Not a huge amount of double-charting (like other systems), easy to populate notes and visits.

Cons

Did not have functionality to integrate with other programs to track patients system-wide (eg. if admitted after an urgent care visit) but was more of a stand-alone clinic program.

Very good software for a urgent care not part of a system looking for an inexpensive EMR specially designed for the specialty.

Pros

Ease of use with operational staff after IT customized user interfaces to maximize efficiencies. Other EMRs can be overly burdensome.

Cons

The lack of value based metrics for quality reporting for Medicare and other models payers are attempting to move to. Along the same lines reporting was limited.
