In a nutshell my experience with Aha! has been very positive. It provides a structured way to manage product planning from idea collection to delivery. It has improved visibility across my teams and made it easier to align product strategy with execution. Once you spend some time learning the platform, it becomes a valuable tool for managing product .

Pros

I liked how easy it is to prioritize work, track progress, and collaborate with different teams. I would say the roadmap visualization is one of its strongest features, and the interface is clean once you get familiar with it. It also integrates well with tools like Jira, making execution much smoother.

Cons

The learning curve can be a bit steep for new users because there are so many features and customization options. Some advanced capabilities are only available in higher-priced plans, and initial setup takes some time if you're implementing it across multiple teams

Overall, my experience with Aha! has been positive. I have used it for about a year to manage projects with customers and internal teams, and it has helped me keep different client priorities organized, connect feedback and strategy to roadmap items, manage releases, and report on progress. It is particularly strong for product managers or consulting teams that need a structured way to manage roadmaps, initiatives, prioritization, and customer feedback across multiple stakeholders. The main tradeoff is that Aha! requires time and effort to set up well. It is not the simplest tool to learn, and self-guided onboarding can be challenging at times. However, once configured, it provides a strong foundation for product planning, collaboration, reporting, and customer-facing product management work. I would recommend it for product teams, product leaders, and consulting organizations that need a comprehensive roadmapping and product management platform and are willing to invest time in proper setup.

Pros

Aha! has been very helpful for managing product work across different clients and customer priorities. As a Product Manager at a product management consulting company, I use it to keep client needs, roadmap items, releases, and strategic initiatives organized and easy to access. The roadmap and initiative features are especially useful for connecting higher-level strategy to actual work. I also like the prioritization and scorecard capabilities because they make it easier to evaluate competing requests and explain why certain items are more important than others. Customer feedback capture is another strong area, since it helps turn customer input into roadmap items instead of letting feedback sit in emails, notes, or disconnected documents. Reporting is also useful for communicating progress and giving both internal teams and customers better visibility into what is happening. From a security and governance perspective, features like role-based access control, SSO integration, audits, and reporting are important for working with different clients and keeping access organized appropriately.

Cons

The biggest drawback is the learning curve. Aha! is powerful, but it can take time to understand how all of the pieces fit together, especially around setup, configuration, workflows, and reporting. The onboarding experience was mostly self-guided for me, and there were times when it felt difficult to configure the system in the way I wanted without spending extra time learning the tool. The user interface is functional and capable, but because the product has so many features, it can feel dense at first. New users may need training or internal guidance before they can use it confidently. Pricing is also something to consider. It is not extremely expensive for the value it provides, but it is a little pricey, especially for smaller teams or organizations that may not use the full feature set.

I've never recommended enterprise software before in my life, but I do talk to people about how much I use Aha at work and how valuable it is for my organization. If your company is ready to get your roadmap and prioritization out of Excel and PowerPoint look no further! Aha was simple to set up, offered the right level of customization out of the box, and provided an unmatched support experience that always goes above and beyond

Pros

At a platform level Aha is incredibly easy to setup and administer. User facing experiences are intuitive, making it easy to drive adoption. Support is unmatched, truly a 5-star experience.

Cons

Platform breadth is a lot to wrap your arms around when you first begin. UI organization does a good job of keeping things clustered. It would be great to have the ability to turn sections of the platform off for certain users as we bring different areas online, maybe this can already be done and I just haven't looked yet...

Definitely a good solution for product management with strong focus on collaboration and communication. So far customer support didn't disappoint and always provided swift and good answers/solutions. Overall good value for the money.

Pros

It is a very powerfull solution touching almost every corner of product management. Integrations with engineering tools like Azure DevOps help keeping track with delivery without the need to recreate everything in AHA! again. Ideas portal provide a nice way of customer interaction, same as options to publish roadmaps in dedicated views. The newly introduced AI capabilities help a lot and drive efficiency.

Cons

Public publishing options in presentations feel a bit clumsy and it takes a while to set up a ll necessary templates and themes. Sometimes nesting of items is limited (e.g. rolling up objectives at same level, or creating Epics of Epics).

Pros

Some pros for Aha! software are great customer support, very helpful and responsive. I also like how you can customize your roadmap just the way you need it.

Cons

Some cons for Aha! software a steep learning curve. It can become overwhelming learning how to customize everything to your needs, and it is one of the more expensive softwares I’ve used.

As a firm we all enjoy our time on Aha! It really does help with project management and convey our ideas while working remotely

Pros

I really enjoy the amount of project collaboration I can integrate on this platform. Aha! make it easy to allow for team collaboration on various mediums, but also makes it easy for all generations to use it.

Cons

It feels a little dated, however this really does help when it comes to integrating all ages to use the platform.

Pros

my information is secure and the customer support is great. I can manage projects easily and customize templates.

Cons

I cannot speak to the Collaboration features as I have not had the opportunity to use them as yet. and in as much as it is value for money, I think it could be cheaper

I was a brand new Product Manager when I first used Aha, and maybe I'm still biased from it being my "first love" of an ideas tracking platform, but I haven't used anything as good as it was in the last 10 years.

Pros

It facilitates every possible option I could think of for idea tracking (both internally and externally), prioritization, roadmapping, integrations with other platforms, and more.

Cons

The natural con of a platform this powerful with this many options is that it can be intimidating to begin setting it up. It's also on the pricier side. However, I'd say that "the juice is worth the squeeze" on both of those cons.

Switched from

[Jira](https://www.capterra.com/p/19319/JIRA/)

We were using Jira for both tracking and development. We didn't switch away from Jira, but instead used Aha! for idea-tracking, prioritization, roadmapping, and overall strategic planning, then utilized its integration with Jira for the actual development tracking. The two paired really nicely with each other.

Overall, myself and my team have had a great experience with AHA! And plan to continue utilizing it for collecting customer feedback and ideas.

Pros

Aha! Is a centralized place for our company to collect feedback and organize ideas. Having multiple products across our company can result in lots of data and ideas - AHA! Helps us centralize this.

Cons

I think the UI/UX could use some work, but other than that it has been very good in providing what we need.
