It’s become very popular within our organization and is the proof that we know what we are doing because it keeps all the product data organized and searchable. Pros Ease of use. Very good user interface that requires little if any training or user guide. The product is able to be customized to our needs. Cons Restriction of the all or nothing Product Manager role. Would be nice to have a role in between who can edit update requirements on features. Pros What I enjoy most about Aha! is the ability to quickly and easily enter in product ideas, check on those statuses, add my support for other ideas, and see what we are doing in the future. This product makes it easy to see all of this without needing a product manager to help walk you thru everything. Cons The search feels like it could get an update but that is just being nitpicky. More importantly, our adoption of the product has helped us deliver projects on-time, whilst continuing to manage and prioritise requests from existing customers. Prior to discovering Aha, we were planning an in-house tool which connected our product managers to development teams. After a short trial, we finally got that "Aha" moment when we hooked up Atlassian JIRA & Slack and realised that we wouldn't need to spend time away from our core business activities to develop a solution to manage ideas and product features. We've been using the product for almost a year now and have required support twice for minor issues. In both instances, the company has been ultra-responsive, with answers coming from actual product managers at the company... even late on a Saturday night. The product does have a slightly steep learning curve, but if you stick with it and take the time to set it up, it's well worth the upfront investment in time! Supporting everything from company vision, right down to individual feature specifications means products managers have everything they need to keep our product relevant and ahead of the curve. I love your support and the intuitiveness with which most things can be done. Keep up the great work. Pros Absolutely love using Aha! The ease with which changes can be made, once things are set up correctly, is such a godsend. Also love Aha's 24x7 support model and prompt support. Before, we had ideas and roadmap plans spread across spreadsheets, emails, Confluence pages and Jira. With Aha!, we are beginning to streamline all this madness into a single source of truth. Cons While it is feature rich, navigation is sometimes hard esp. when we want to customize features. This may be because we are still relatively new users. It helps me keep all the work organized and gives me the ability to track progress and Roadmap activities. Pros The tool gives you the flexibility to view the data in multiple dimensions. I like how it summarizes updates to people that are watchers. I like to tinker with tools like this to find the custom solution that fits the need, but sometimes I get stuck and need input. I must say that Aha customer service is outstanding. They are responsive to all my questions within the same day and offer guidance to solve my challenge. Cons I'm working with a workspace with 600 records with no training yet. I think if I were to do this over I would have got some training before I started. I wish I had got training in advance because I customized some things I probably would not have if I was trained properly up front. Review Source JP Jay P. We've been able to put together information very quickly to show progress, future plans, and dependencies on other items. Pros Once you have a general idea of the structure you'd like to use, it's very easy to just start adding goals, initiatives, features, etc. Brainstorming and collaboration go hand in hand. Features are constantly improved and feedback can be tracked from the ideas board to implementation. Plus, support is always super responsive and you're able to make quick progress. Oh, and I don't use PowerPoint anymore :). Cons It's not a con, but they are always releasing new functionality - so you have to pay attention to the updates to ensure you're on top of changes. Tech support is the best I've experienced, they reply instantly with the instructions I need to achieve what I'm trying to do. Haven't experienced any bugs whatsoever. Cons Sometime the settings are confusing due to the way they are named and organised. Some of the names repeat but are for different things and it's easy to get lost in the navigation. Categorically, Aha! is the best available on the market. The holistic approach of Aha! to product management is incredibly useful, and forward thinking. We have always advocated customer centric product approaches and Aha! really lends well to this way of thinking and framing your products. I can highly recommend Aha to any business interested in efficiently trading and managing their product function. Cons There's really nothing I could say as a negative to the software. June 3, 2020 5.0 I was initially introduced to Aha at my first product management position, although it was not integrated into any of the other dev tools. In this new company and position we are integrating it into ADO, Teams, and looking to see how it will work with Mavenlink, to allow for realtime updates and the ability to look at the same data through different lenses to allow each team to get what they need, and update the other teams. Pros The ease of use to plan out roadmaps and plan out capacity. I am still working to plan out our processes as we are moving towards a new development methodology from our current workflow, and Aha! is playing an important piece in getting the data presented to the executive team. Cons Sometimes things are not in obvious places, use management notification settings, in the personal section. Pros Very clear and easy way to customize, add and prioritize requirements, track them across releases and make them manageable and visible for all the necessary teams. Cons I would like turnkey integration for things like tying opportunities from SDFC to requirements so that we can see the dollar value associated with a requirement. We had taken some-time to evaluate a variety of tools to determine which one is the best for us to use to develop and track our product roadmap. Currently, we are in the process of configuring Aha! and integrating it with JIRA and Confluence as well as implementing the Ideas Board and Resource Planning. Pros: Aha! provides the platform needed to integrate the business side (strategy, personas, business goals) with the technical side (product roadmap, resource planning), as well as with the customer side (ideas board). The support team is very prompt in replying to emails and answering the customer support phone line. Cons Configuration with JIRA is not as intuitive, and it requires some additional support from the Aha! team. Of course, additional support and training, depend on the purchased plan. Aha! enables our creative team to organize all ideas and link high-level strategy directly to the team's work, creating visual roadmaps that can be easily shared. It also integrates with engineering tools, so product and development teams can stay on the same page. Based on our experience is the best way to get out of Excel and PPT for roadmap planning. At the same time it allows you to customize the flow/process you want to use in your team, and even the vocabulary/terms you get used to use - so you really feel that it's your team's tool at the end! Our Engineering team also enjoys using Aha cause it gives them convenience while updating the progress on current business requirements and also allows to keep track of the technical features on the roadmap. Cons The recently launched Mockups feature still requires improvements here and there, but I know for sure that at the end Aha team will do it the best way possible for its users. For me as a PM it enables to see the big picture and connect all the dots that make the product's roadmap, and manage it both top down and bottom up, while communicating it easily to my entire team. Cons UX/UI is not optimal, there are "better looking" competitors, but all in all it is still the solution that suited me the most. Reason for choosing Aha! We just have to share the Ideas Portal with our customers and they can submit their ideas in seconds. Once ideas are submitted people can upvote or downvote and that helps us understand which features are most important and we need to build first. Pros As a founder you always want to build the best product possible and for that you need to build something people want! Aha.io! helped us to gather user feedback from customers via its Ideas Portal which is nicely designed and easy to customize to fit our brand. This gives us the ability to give each different group their own unique view of products. We have used this tool for both Product Management and Product Marketing. The Product Marketing function is great and provides good visuals for launch planning and messaging. Cons The set up and start up can really be confusing. If you don't structure your products and organizations in just the right way, or use just the right type of field (to do - vs- activity) especially in the Marketing side, it's hard to get reporting to work for you correctly. Pros Aha! makes it easy to categorize, organize and plan out product and other feedback so it becomes actionable data. Prioritizing and combining data and feedback can be a pain, but Aha! helps put that into tables, graphs or workflows to put it to its best uses. Cons The analysis side of organizing data is difficult and while Aha! offers a lot of options they aren't readily apparent when getting started.
