For me as a PM it enables to see the big picture and connect all the dots that make the product's roadmap, and manage it both top down and bottom up, while communicating it easily to my entire team. Cons UX/UI is not optimal, there are "better looking" competitors, but all in all it is still the solution that suited me the most. Reason for choosing Aha! I chose AHA! because of the clear and easy to implement methodology that helped me a lot in building and communicating the roadmap. Review Source Boris E. We just have to share the Ideas Portal with our customers and they can submit their ideas in seconds. Once ideas are submitted people can upvote or downvote and that helps us understand which features are most important and we need to build first. Pros As a founder you always want to build the best product possible and for that you need to build something people want! Aha.io! helped us to gather user feedback from customers via its Ideas Portal which is nicely designed and easy to customize to fit our brand. It's helping provide visibility to the whole organization. Pros I like the ability to report on just about anything you do in multiple formats. This gives us the ability to give each different group their own unique view of products. We have used this tool for both Product Management and Product Marketing. The Product Marketing function is great and provides good visuals for launch planning and messaging. Cons The set up and start up can really be confusing. If you don't structure your products and organizations in just the right way, or use just the right type of field (to do - vs- activity) especially in the Marketing side, it's hard to get reporting to work for you correctly. Pros Aha! makes it easy to categorize, organize and plan out product and other feedback so it becomes actionable data. Prioritizing and combining data and feedback can be a pain, but Aha! helps put that into tables, graphs or workflows to put it to its best uses. Cons The analysis side of organizing data is difficult and while Aha! offers a lot of options they aren't readily apparent when getting started. Review Source ND Nick D. Cons Road mapping would be improved if it was more flexible. It is one area I don't use as it does not align with my customer base's expectations, maybe a bit more flexibility to generate roadmap's in different formats to reflect different road mapping techniques Review Source Brad M. We are able to create Features in Aha and push them to Jira. It creates all the links between the two and had both way synchronization. It has been a game-changer for our Product Team, allowing us to see all four verticals in one place and guide us to create a more cohesive, coherent, and easily distributed product strategy. Pros We have medium-sized, geographically diverse product team with people who like using different software and tools to manage their work and processes. Aha gave us the ability to work on strategy and high level product initiatives without impacting people's day-to-day work and adding additional tasks to their to-do list. All in all, it's a fantastic product and the team at Aha really has though of just about everything a product team needs to do their job. Cons There is too much to explore and stay on top of. Their professional services and customer support are exceptional and their product team respond to ideas quickly once submitted Cons as with any nebulous business function there are some ways that our organization does Product Managment that Aha! does not support but as mentioned above the CS organization is very responsive and are always willing to help with workarounds. September 29, 2021 5.0 Pros Aha was the perfect tool for us as it cover all our needs. A simple and intuitive UI, a sexy and customizable visual timeline for our product roadmap. The rich integration possibility was for us a real plus. Allowing us to manage the product roadmap in Aha and integrate it easily with our development backlog in Azure Devops. Cons At the beginning the amount of feature in Aha could lead the user to be a bit lost. There is a learning curve for beginners to take in consideration. Pros The extent to which it can be tailored/customised. Cons Some unintuitive behaviour. E.g. some Feature workflow states (that are not in use by any Feature) cannot be deleted because it complains they are in use. Reason for choosing Aha! As a startup looking to make sure we stay on track, manage new ideas and features, and leave ourselves room to intelligently pivot in places, Aha! has been ideal. It is flexible enough to do basically anything we want, but the use of intelligent templates gives us the ability to just get up and running. It's the perfect mix of features, complexity, and smart UX. Pros Aha! gives me the ability to collect and track ideas, relate them to strategic initiatives, and gives me a smart overview that helps make sure we remain on the right track. Cons Aha! is a necessarily complex tool. All of the tools in this space are. This makes onboarding new team members, especially those who don't generally pursue high-level viewpoints, difficult. The collaborative platform along with its embedded templates is beneficial for clients who are new to using cloud-based software across their value chain to manage critical projects. The customer service along with offering a startup rate for new businesses is an added bonus that I did not expect but truly appreciate. Cons The interface for configuration of Workspaces, portals, scorecards, forms etc. can be a little confusing and all over the place to find so that could be improved by maybe rearranging the customization items a bit. Having the ability to create a private idea portal with anonymous user names was a must have option because our business needs to maintain our customers anonymity. Pros Aha's customer support is unmatched. Its very easy to connect with one of their experienced technical agents/product managers for troubleshooting issues or getting advice on best practices . Additionally, the platform layout is clear and linear which guides users step by step from strategy to product roadmap planning. October 4, 2019 5.0 Pros Its the ability to visualise the very top line of the strategy and see that drill down to the features that deliver it. The ease of use within the Aha! interface encourages you to really think about your Vision, Mission, Goals, etc. not just for the company but for each individual product and service you dream up. The tool is such a brilliant aid to discussing strategy it keeps us engaged and wanting to come back to regularly review, refine and adapt. Cons Managing Releases and Master Releases can be a little awkward but actually I quickly realised it was because I didn't really need the feature and was able to meet my requirement with the flexibility of the roadmap view. Great to have an overview of where campaigns are at. Pros Aha! pulls together all the elements of a modern marketing campaign and lets your team see where they are, how things are performing and what's coming next. A key consideration is ease of use - Aha! has a great UX and most people will get to grips with it pretty quickly. Cons Not particularly a criticism of the product, but traditional marketers will have their own ideas about how they want to do things and may struggle to work with software like Aha!
