May 15, 2018 3.0 Pros I like that all product content is in one place, and I can easily see what other teams are doing to support a product release. I can also track who is responsible for specific deliverables, so I can reach out to that person directly. Cons Overall it's hard to find specific information that I need, and it's also difficult to view all product releases and see all the necessary information (dates, deadlines, etc). While I come from a carrier background, my way of thinking is fairly structured but for large infrastructure projects. Now having to define products and their roadmaps, this takes on a different level of complexity and being able to track Multiple Product Lines, each with its own products and delivery roadmaps. Pros I tried Aha! for a few weeks and after the first one I realized it was the perfect fit for our needs. It helps us to capture, maintain and increase visibility of our products roadmap, from strategy to operational, day-to-day activities. Aha! team is constantly implementing new features, keeping us very confident that we made the right choice. Our product managers are very happy with the tool, giving them all they need to control their products. Today the whole company has visibility of what and why we are implementing this or that feature in our products. Pros I found the product-management focus to be much more useful for us than the project management software that we tested. We have been using GitHub issues for task tracking and like that it is integrated with the development environment. While several Project Management tools are friendlier to use and more powerful for high-level consideration than GH, it's not a clear win because they lack that integration and there is no clear separation of concerns. The focus on Product Management in Aha! and the ability to link to GH issues makes it clear that product planning tasks can live in this tool, while development can continue to benefit from closing tasks with commit messages, etc. Cons It's another tool to use, obviously this is simultaneously a benefit and a cost. January 23, 2020 5.0 Pros \- Extremely customizable: Nearly every aspect can be modified to suit your organization's workflow - Integrations: Can be easily integrated with Jira or other tools. - Powerful reporting: Can create most reports with only 1 click! Cons \- Can be a little tough to get started, there's a lot of functionality but everything is well documented. In the end you use as little or as many of the features as you want. - Reporting can be a little intimidating, it's a powerful feature but it's often a little tricky to visualize exactly what I had in mind. The fact that the Ideas portal allows for any number of people to contribute their input makes the ROI on this solution a no brainer. Pros The Ideas portal makes managing all the input from stakeholders easy and efficient. The capabilities to customize the input fields and formats as well as the workflow makes the process of collecting and managing the input very efficient for us. The integration with GitLab lets us push the mature ideas into our development process while maintaining the exact same workflow and labeling, including stage changes. Cons Nothing really, the only limitation I came across was that the 2x2 graph to visualize the value and cost of your ideas/features does not handle multiple attribute formulas. The tool allows for creation of complex formulas, but the graph only allows display of a single attribute, not a compound one. Review Source NV Niels V. Pros The entire product management cycle is very well though out, from collecting ideas, ranking these ideas based on votes for example, to promoting them to features, which you can then easily link to a certain release. Release/feature timeline reports can be shared with external parties and are easy to understand for different types of stakeholders. Besides, the team at Aha! delivers top notch customer support! Cons It takes a bit of time to wrap your head around all the possibilities, so it has quite a steep learning curve compared to other products, but it's definitely worth in the end! I really like how easy it is to extend this application out to end users to be able to vote on items. This product allows a software company to be very transparent with their end users and communicate about ideas, future roadmap items, etc. The UI is very easy to use and helps keep everyone organized. In addition, it's notebook functionality allowed us to communicate with our investors without having to give them direct access. This software is worth every penny. Pros First, I never give all 5 star reviews. Second, I fell in love with Aha! in a matter of an hour. And since then I've used it for almost a month now and am even more in love. We are using it to manage our product line. It helps us think high-level and lets us create visual roadmaps that can be easily shared. I haven't tried out the integration yet but it looks extensive - good for them. I will never use Excel or PPT again for my product roadmap planning, I highly recommend Aha! Review Source Hannah S. That means we can actively prioritize development on product improvements that the most amount of customers have voted for (through their rep internally). Cons It's rather basic in its visual design. This is to be rather expected in development-focused software, but it would be nice to see a more intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface.
