Zoom has many helpful features that facilitate group participation, which help improve the online learning environment. Their customer support is prompt and thorough, and zoom allows me to have productive virtual office hours as a professor

Pros

Zoom makes virtual office hours very easy to operate, I am able to use both the white board function when asking for collaborative participation from my students over the video call. My university uses zoom because it is cost effective.

Cons

The strong Wi-Fi signal needed to maintain a seamless Zoom call is often hard to achieve. In busy areas, the video gets choppy, and syncing audio with the embedded video can cause issues. To fix this, there should be more compatibility with software like PowerPoint

I use Zoom Workplace daily to not only schedule/attend meetings but also using the AI Companion feature that automatically joins meeting alongside me and provide me with a summarization post meeting. I also administer access such as meeting licensing, phone licensing, and meeting options for users.

Pros

Zoom Workplace provides the ability to have online meetings, either from office space or remote while also providing the ability to make or receive phone calls using the soft phone option via the app. It also provides the ability to integrate SSO which creates a seamless sign in for users while providing additional security for sign ins.

Cons

Zoom quite often has issues with cancelling or scheduling meetings if the app version falls two or three versions behind the latest version which can cause issues in a work environment if the app is not frequently updated.

My overall experience with Zoom Workplace has been extremely positive. I've used it daily for several years to conduct interviews, host client meetings, collaborate with remote teams, and record important conversations. The platform is dependable, easy to use, and has evolved well to support modern hybrid and remote work environments. Features like AI-generated meeting notes and transcripts have helped improve productivity and reduce administrative work. Overall, Zoom remains one of the most valuable business tools I use on a daily basis.

Pros

Zoom has become my go-to platform for both internal collaboration and external client meetings. The video and audio quality are consistently reliable, and features like AI meeting summaries, transcripts, screen sharing, breakout rooms, and recording save me a significant amount of time each week. As a recruiter, I spend a large portion of my day conducting interviews, and Zoom makes scheduling, hosting, and documenting those conversations simple. The platform is intuitive for both technical and non-technical users, which helps reduce friction when meeting with candidates and clients.

Cons

While Zoom has continued to add useful features, some of the newer AI and collaboration tools can be difficult to navigate at first because they are spread across different areas of the platform. Pricing can also become expensive as additional licenses and premium features are added. Occasionally, software updates change settings or user interfaces, which creates a small learning curve for users who are accustomed to a specific workflow.

I use Zoom for virtual meetings, webinars, and remote collaboration. Compared to some other meeting platforms, I’ve found Zoom to offer excellent call quality, a user-friendly interface, and a very reliable meeting experience. I use features like screen sharing and meeting recording help improve productivity and my workflow.

Pros

I like Zoom for its ease of use and reliability for virtual video conference meetings. The platform makes it simple to join or host meetings, and the audio and video quality are consistently excellent. I also appreciate features such as screen sharing, meeting recordings, and breakout rooms.

Cons

One downside is that if you are on the free version you only get a 40 minute limit for your meetings. Another downside is that joining meetings can sometimes be challenging for less technical users or people who are unfamiliar with the platform. In some cases, participants may need to download the Zoom app to their device, configure audio and video permissions, or navigate security settings before successfully joining a meeting. While these steps are generally straightforward, they can occasionally create friction for external attendees compared to some competing platforms that offer a more seamless browser-based joining experience such as Microsoft Teams.

It is reliable, high-quality video meetings, webinars, and client demos, Zoom Workplace remains an industry favorite.

Pros

I like that connections can go hours at a time and very rarely crashes or have issues even if my work team are in diffrent places in the world.

Cons

That it doesnt automatically go into gallery view in order to see all of my team in the same screen at once.

Pros

I am using Zoom Workspace for team communication and collaboration because it is very easy to use. And one can start using it with out any training. Features like screen sharing and recording always works smoothly and the audio and video quality is really great.

Cons

I feel some minor glitches after some updates but overall everything works great and there is nothing to dislike.

Zoom has been such an important part of my teams communication across multiple states. Thanks to Zoom, we can collaborate in realtime on projects statewide.

Pros

I love zoom's options to customize and secure meetings with passcodes. Easy to use, great for team collaboration, and the customer support is top notch. Highly recommend if you're looking for value for your money, or to increase your business's productivity.

Cons

I don't like that it doesn't automatically go into gallery mode when there are more than two people in the room.

Zoom Workplace has optimized our team's ability to connect with our colleagues around the globe, the translation feature is especially useful!

Pros

Zoom Workplace has great value for the money. Our team can either hop onto meetings with each other, or meet with our clients simultaneously without interruption of services. Zoom is so easy to use, schedule meetings through the calendar, sync with other tools such as google, etc. We have been using Zoom Workplace since 2021 and haven't looked back!

Cons

I don't like that I can't set up multiple meetings simultaneously through my account at once on different devices.

Pros

Zoom provides the smoothest online conferencing experience. For webinars, it’s still my #1 choice. Once or twice a month something in my current setup doesn’t work - then we immediately switch to Zoom, because it almost never has issues.

Cons

I use a self-hosted Jitsi setup as my primary conferencing tool. My second choice is Google Meet, since I already pay for Google Workspace. I also already pay for Notion, which provides scheduling. For transcription, I use the free Voice Memos app and a self-hosted Whisper setup. With this stack, paying for Zoom has become inefficient.

Pros

Zoom is user friendly, simple, and helpful. The meeting scheduler tool is a life saver, whether I'm just scheduling meetings ahead of time and sending links, or whether you use the actual self-scheduling tool. I've made video calls everywhere from the same city to another continent and they've all been equally effective. Being able to integrate transcription apps is helpful as well. I've only started using it as the meeting coordinator/host this past month, but I've used in generally for several years to join other meetings.

Cons

Like many apps and services, they're pushing AI too much. Their non-generative, simple AI services like scheduling, automation, and transcribing are good, but the summaries, notes, and "AI companion" is an utter nuisance.
