### "Great Collaboration Tool with Strong Features, but Some Room for Improvement"

May 26, 2026

4.0

Overall, Zoom Workplace is still one of the strongest and most dependable collaboration platforms available, and I would recommend it to organizations looking for an easy-to-use and feature-rich virtual communication solution.

Pros

Zoom Workplace has been a very reliable platform for virtual meetings, collaboration, and communication across teams. The video and audio quality are generally excellent, and the platform is easy for both employees and external participants to use, even if they are not very tech-savvy. I especially appreciate the ability to quickly schedule meetings, share screens, use breakout rooms, and integrate with calendars and other workplace tools. One of the biggest benefits is how flexible the platform is for remote and hybrid work environments. It has made communication much more seamless and efficient, especially when managing teams or collaborating with clients in different locations.

Cons

The main downside is that some of the newer Workplace features can feel a little cluttered or overwhelming compared to the simplicity Zoom originally became known for. There can also occasionally be connectivity or lag issues depending on internet stability, and some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier pricing plans.

Was hoping to have better connectivity with fewer lags and voice quality; however, it wasn't any better.

### "Best Video Platform for Online Teaching"

June 20, 2026

5.0

I have been using Zoom 6 days a week for 6 years now with thousands of kids. I love that it allows me to teach online and is user friendly enough that the kids learn to navigate it relatively easily as well. I have 3 year olds that can successfully use Zoom for online classes!

Pros

It’s is one of the only video platforms that you can share your sound without having to share your video simultaneously. I love the spotlight for feature for being able to make myself the “big screen” for my students or I can also spotlight them for their classmates to see! It’s amazing for teaching online.

Cons

I wish the recorded video quality was better. Once you download it, it’s not as good as it was live.

Alternatives considered

You cannot “share sound only” on riverside and their customer support team is very rude. They mostly cater to small (2-3 people) podcasts and not large live group meetings.

### "Really? That's all you got?"

June 11, 2026

3.0

Yawn. It's boring, and I can't imagine how they are going to stay competitive if they don't have a real overhaul with real capabilities in mind.

Pros

It's got a few tools that make it slightly better than a standard video chat from any device or platform, but the whole interface plus the bells and whistles look like something from 2004. We know what it can do. That's what is good about it.

Cons

It's old, not very dynamic, and it does the very least you would want a virtual meeting platform to do. It peaked early, and they have made almost no improvements or revisions since it came out. It looks like they don't care about user experience or growth.

### "Seamless Remote Collaboration and Efficient Meeting Management Tool"

April 17, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Zoom Workplace has been very positive. It has been a reliable tool for connecting with clients, students, and staff members for meetings, training sessions, and remote support. The platform is easy to use, and features like screen sharing, annotation and remote control make troubleshooting and collaboration more efficient. The video and audio quality are consistently strong, which helps maintain smooth communication during sessions. The ability to easily record meetings on the cloud or directly to the computer is extremely useful, and the transcript feature is superb for reviewing discussions and maintaining records. Additionally, meeting assets are automatically sent to email, which eliminates the need to manually prepare minutes of meeting and saves a significant amount of time.

Pros

This product is my go-to solution for any remote connection with clients, students, or staff members. I can quickly take remote control of their screen and resolve issues efficiently. The video and audio quality are excellent, and the platform is very easy to navigate. The option of using a personal meeting room is especially helpful, just start the meeting, and participants can connect directly without any complications. It has significantly improved our response time and made remote troubleshooting much more efficient. Overall, it is a reliable and user-friendly tool that supports smooth communication and collaboration.

Cons

While the platform is highly reliable, the quality of remote sessions can occasionally be affected by weak internet connections, and some advanced features may take time for new users to learn.

### "A great, modern platform for large teams"

May 18, 2026

4.0

Pros

I like Zoom Workplace and chose it because of its strong webinar functionality, which makes hosting and managing events very straightforward, and I use it often. I also really appreciate how easy it is to use overall. This includes the interface, which is clean, modern, and intuitive, so it doesn’t take long to get familiar with, but also is a nice software to use. The customer support is quick and responsive, which makes a big difference when you need help. Overall, Zoom offers a smooth user experience with a well-designed, user-friendly interface, easy for cross-team meetings/collaboration and I love using it.

Cons

One downside of Zoom Workplace is that it can be difficult to see all participants clearly when you have a large group, especially on laptop screens. This can make it harder to stay engaged with everyone but the gallery view with arrows to move the participants around does help. Another drawback is the extra costs, some useful features are only available as paid add‑ons, which can make it more expensive overall than expected.

### "Perfect All in One Product"

June 2, 2026

5.0

I use Zoom Workplace daily to not only schedule/attend meetings but also using the AI Companion feature that automatically joins meeting alongside me and provide me with a summarization post meeting. I also administer access such as meeting licensing, phone licensing, and meeting options for users.

Pros

Zoom Workplace provides the ability to have online meetings, either from office space or remote while also providing the ability to make or receive phone calls using the soft phone option via the app. It also provides the ability to integrate SSO which creates a seamless sign in for users while providing additional security for sign ins.

Cons

Zoom quite often has issues with cancelling or scheduling meetings if the app version falls two or three versions behind the latest version which can cause issues in a work environment if the app is not frequently updated.

### "We Love Zoom Workplace!"

May 28, 2026

5.0

Zoom Workplace has optimized our team's ability to connect with our colleagues around the globe, the translation feature is especially useful!

Pros

Zoom Workplace has great value for the money. Our team can either hop onto meetings with each other, or meet with our clients simultaneously without interruption of services. Zoom is so easy to use, schedule meetings through the calendar, sync with other tools such as google, etc. We have been using Zoom Workplace since 2021 and haven't looked back!

Cons

I don't like that I can't set up multiple meetings simultaneously through my account at once on different devices.

### "Best experience, but now it’s not budget-efficient"

May 27, 2026

5.0

Pros

Zoom provides the smoothest online conferencing experience. For webinars, it’s still my #1 choice. Once or twice a month something in my current setup doesn’t work - then we immediately switch to Zoom, because it almost never has issues.

Cons

I use a self-hosted Jitsi setup as my primary conferencing tool. My second choice is Google Meet, since I already pay for Google Workspace. I also already pay for Notion, which provides scheduling. For transcription, I use the free Voice Memos app and a self-hosted Whisper setup. With this stack, paying for Zoom has become inefficient.

### "Essential Tool for Academic Research and Remote Team Coordination"

May 5, 2026

4.0

My overall experience has been excellent. It has bridged the gap between remote research work and campus-based collaboration. It is a stable, reliable tool that has made my academic workflow much more efficient. It is an essential tool for any research assistant.

Pros

Zoom Workplace is essential for our academic department. It allows me to join virtual research seminars and share my screen to present data findings to my supervisor without needing to be physically present on campus.

Cons

The platform can be quite heavy on mobile data consumption. When I am conducting field research away from the university Wi-Fi, using Zoom for long meetings drains my mobile data plan very quickly. I also occasionally find that the background noise suppression could be improved for noisy environments.

Switched from

[Google Meet](https://www.capterra.com/p/176572/Google-Hangouts/)

We switched because Google Meet often lagged during large departmental seminars. Zoom Workplace handles 20+ participants much more smoothly and has better recording features for our research archives.

### "Classic for a Reason"

March 1, 2026

5.0

Considering all of the video conferencing software out there, Zoom has been my preferred platform for years because of its ease of use—for both myself and call attendees—and because it doesn't overload my computer like other platforms have.

Pros

I like that call attendees don't need a Zoom account or even to download the app on their device in order to join a call. Screen sharing, including with sound, is really easy, and I like that the Mac app allows for me to move the call window around over the top of whatever I'm sharing so I can organize my screen in a way that works well for me. The whiteboard feature is also really handy. And I like that when I record calls, I can simply share a link to the replay page without having to upload the file to YouTube or another platform for viewing.

Cons

The initial storage for call recordings is quite limited, and considering the lowest yearly business license is not particularly cheap, I end up having to download recordings I want to keep and then save the Zoom storage for the few calls I want to have available for sharing the replay link. The settings pages are also incredibly convoluted and are seemingly often reorganized, so it can be difficult to access what you need, especially when scheduling workshop calls in advance.

Switched from

[Google Meet](https://www.capterra.com/p/176572/Google-Hangouts/)

Zoom was far better for online education, especially in terms of screen sharing, participant reactions, and the ability to password-protect sessions.

### "Zoom is amazing"

April 8, 2026

5.0

When working in corporate world, I used it every day, multiple times a day, both for ad hoc calls, and meetings. Very user friendly very easy to use.

Pros

\* Easy to make internal calls. \* Easy to send call invites to external users \* Great for Sharon your screen, and choosing what to share \* You can blur your background (some people should learn to blur their unmade bed when working from home), or select any background you want. \* lots of fun features to change your appearance \* Unlike Teams, very easy to install and use from phone.

Cons

\* You cannot just call someone external. You need to email them the link, and as to join (via email or phone) \* Not easy to give someone control of your screen I would prefer a better way of telling me that my camera is on.

Pros

March 7, 2026

5.0

Overall this is a good product for reliability across platforms, despite the lost in translation link vs. invite with room and pass code. I rarely ever have technical issues. It supports green screen and allows me to do my job remotely as a lawyer.

Pros

It's reliability and features for group meetings and court room appearances. It works well with my fancy video camera.

Cons

### "Great Video Meeting Functionality"

April 8, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Zoom Workplace has been great, it's a tool that I use multiple times a day. It makes remote work, collaboration with other engineers, and other common workplace tasks extremely easy to perform.

Pros

Zoom Workplace offers some of the most consistent and reliable video calling functionality that I've used. Its audio cleaning is truly impressive and completely eliminates background sounds ranging from barking dogs to lawnmowers. I frequently use it's integration with Google Calendar to ensure that all of my meeting invites automatically have a video call link for people to join from.

Cons

Users who join a call after a chat message has been sent can't see it. It would be great if chat messages sent before users joined could be seen by them as this can often be a way that links and other materials for that call are shared.

### "Reliable for Large Team Meetings"

April 30, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Zoom Workplace has been positive. It’s reliable for our daily updates, training sessions, and any emergency meetings. Audio, video, and screen sharing are usually clear, which helps us stay organized and prepared before we start work.

Pros

What I like most about Zoom Workplace is how easy it is for all the Agents to join the morning briefing. I work with Pitch Perfect, and we have five campaigns with over 600 sales agents, but we all use one Zoom link to meet every morning before we get on the phones. Zoom makes it simple for everyone to connect at the same time, and the audio and video stay clear even with a large group. I also like that we use it for training and emergency meetings because it’s reliable and quick to set up.

Cons

What I liked least about Zoom Workplace is that when all five campaigns join the same morning meeting — over 600 sales agents — the call can sometimes lag or freeze. With that many people on one link, the audio occasionally cuts out, and it can be hard to hear the updates clearly. It doesn’t happen every day, but when it does, it slows down the briefing before we start work.

Amazing, reliable and easy to use. I would highly recommend zoom workplace to anyone in any type of an organization

Pros

File management. Zoom workplace solves document management problems by focusing on the Meeting Lifecycle.

Cons

### "Reliable and Easy for Everyday Meetings"

December 4, 2025

4.0

Overall, Zoom has been a dependable tool for meetings and communication. It saves time, makes remote collaboration easier, and works well for both work and personal use. The interface is simple to learn, and most issues are small and easy to fix. Even with the occasional glitch, it delivers good value for money and has become something I use regularly without thinking twice about it.

Pros

I like how easy Zoom is to use and how reliable it is for video calls. The video conferencing quality is usually very clear, and the layout is simple enough that anyone can join without confusion. It’s convenient for both quick one-on-one calls and larger meetings. The platform also has helpful features like screen sharing and messaging that make work a lot smoother.

Cons

Sometimes the audio or video can glitch, especially if someone’s connection isn’t strong. There are also times when updates slow things down or cause minor bugs. I also feel like some features should be included in the base plan instead of being add-ons.

### "A Reliable, Seamless Platform for Meetings"

January 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Zoom Workplace has been positive. It’s a reliable and widely adopted platform that makes virtual meetings and collaboration easy and accessible. Core features like video conferencing, screen sharing, and breakout rooms work smoothly and support productive discussions. While the interface can feel busy at times, Zoom Workplace remains a dependable tool for staying connected, especially for remote and hybrid work environments. I love the Outlook integration!

Pros

I like Zoom most for its reliability and ease of joining meetings. The ability to join a call with a single link, and integrate starting Zoom meetings from Outlook, makes meetings start on time and reduces friction for both internal and external participants. Since we use Outlook, I appreciate how Zoom syncs with my calendar and puts a meeting link inside once I add a recipient. Audio and video quality are consistently strong, even with large groups, and features like screen sharing, breakout rooms, and virtual backgrounds are intuitive and easy to use. Zoom’s stability during long meetings and its ability to handle varying internet connections make it a dependable tool for both collaboration and presentations. The chat feature is fun to use and I love that I can DM other meeting participants. The recorded transcript makes sure I remember everything discussed in the meeting.

Cons

I wish my Zoom link would be automatically added once I schedule a meeting in Outlook, instead of whenever I add a recipient. This disrupts my workflow. Zoom can also feel a bit overwhelming at times due to the number of features and settings packed into the interface. Navigating between meetings, chats, and additional tools isn’t always intuitive, and some advanced options are harder to find than they need to be. Occasional audio or connection issues can still arise, and long video meetings can contribute to screen fatigue, especially when Zoom is used heavily throughout the day.

My overall experience with Zoom has been fantastic. I started out in coordination, so I spent a lot of time using Zoom Host Pools and booking private calls with passwords, etc. I've had a few hiccups here and there, but nothing that even comes to mind as I think about the enormous value Zoom has brought to my team.

Pros

I like that Zoom is predictable and dependable. I never feel like I have to guess about how I'm going to have to get into a meeting or stress about my access. If the meeting is with Zoom, I know it's going to work out.

Cons

There's nothing that I dislike about Zoom. My experiences have all been positive since I first started using it professionally five years ago.

Zoom Workplace is an excellent choice for teams already invested in the Zoom ecosystem. It streamlines workflow by bringing critical collaboration tools into one familiar place, making it a strong and intelligent solution for the modern hybrid workplace.

Pros

### "Communication on Zoom makes everything easier"

April 13, 2026

Basic feature set is good for the casual desktop video user. Additional licensing for more advanced options such as integration with H323 video conferencing rooms is more expensive and the actual ‘Zoom Rooms’ kit tends be fiddly to set up correctly as they are provided by 3rd part vendors. Zoom works over the public internet so quality is governed by local conditions.

Pros

Team Collaboration, ease of use and value for money. Zoom is my go to for a detailed transcript for meetings and it's functionally the best among video conference out there.

Cons

Bugs and many issues, can be laggy sometimes and customer support is not helpful at times. There's a lot to improve for this software.

### "Reliable for classes, work meetings, and team collaboration"

March 30, 2026

4.0

Overall, Zoom has been an essential tool for staying connected in both academic and professional settings. I’ve used it for everything from lectures to team collaboration and community meetings. It’s easy to use once you get familiar with it, and it makes remote communication feel more interactive. While there are a few small issues, it’s still one of the most dependable platforms I’ve used for virtual meetings.

Pros

Zoom has been really reliable for both my school and work meetings. I use it regularly for classes, team meetings, and virtual events, and the video and audio quality are usually very consistent. I like how easy it is to join meetings through a link, and features like screen sharing and chat make it easier to collaborate, especially when working on presentations or group projects. Breakout rooms are also helpful for smaller group discussions, which I’ve used a lot in both academic and workforce settings.

Cons

Sometimes there are minor connectivity issues, especially if multiple people are sharing screens or using video at the same time. The interface can also feel a bit overwhelming with all the features, especially for new users.
