Educator Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Zoom Workplace for the Win" October 21, 2024 5.0 Zoom workplace gave us the opportunity to all meet from our own classrooms, which gave us the ability to share the tools and other items we have in our rooms (such as student projects) without having to lug them around from place to place and possibly break, forget, or even lose something. The screen sharing is also great because it is on our very own screen as opposed to a big screen that can be hard to see. Pros It was great to be able to meet with my fellow teachers without having to fight traffic to get to a central location, and still see each other’s faces while we spoke. Cons The one thing that I like least is the cost. The free version is very limited in time, but the paid upgrade is very expensive. Switched from [Google Meet](https://www.capterra.com/p/176572/Google-Hangouts/) It was a district decision to switch, but I’m not sure why. I believe they said it was a safer way to meet. Pros When there's a little low network, then video get stuck (fine) but zoom give us whole talk that was done during the unstable network, which really help to understand where the conversation is going. Cons Didn't find any so far. Just switched from Google Meet. Switched from [Google Meet](https://www.capterra.com/p/176572/Google-Hangouts/) getting audio even in unstable network. They do have occasional glitches and their customer service could use some help, but overall the platform performs well. Pros Most of my clients appreciate Zoom Workplace for how easy it is to use, its simple communication tools, and its collaboration features Cons Our least favorite thing is their less-than-ideal customer service and the occasional glitches. We have also had some clients complain that the platform setup is confusing.
