" December 3, 2022 5.0 I realized that Zoom is very convenient to maintain relationship with the people that you want to connect to even if they are far from you especially if you want to catch up with them, it can easily be done with zoom. Pros One of the bonus features that I love in Zoom is the first free 60 minutes app usage for new account but then it can still be improved especially that Zoom is now one of the in demand application for video conferencing, the developers of this application can improve more on the screen recording feature because recording the meeting is really useful for me especially if I want to do the minutes during the session, it helps a lot if I can record it real time. It is also convenient to use the pinning of participants so that the host won't get confuse as to whom is talking during the session. Cons I feel like the screen sharing can still be improved especially when, for certain reasons, the host accomodates a lot of participants, I think the MUTE THE PARTICIPANTS feature can be enhanced to AUTOMATED MUTE so that it will only highlight those who are really talking and with that, some unnecessary noise during the meeting can be prevented. I have used other apps with the same functionalities but they are nowhere close to as user friendly as zoom is. Pros Zoom is very intuitive and user friendly. They have made their features so obvious to the user that I never had to use any tutorials to understand different things. Their feature to use different filters is very convenient and using a custom filter makes it all the more appealing. It is also easy to sync and integrated other apps like gmail calendar with zoom. Cons The feature of saving chats or the fact that every chat is saved by default for the host to access later, this can be an issue for multiple reasons. This borderline is a privacy issue specially when a teaching session is conducted over zoom with several hundreds students. Not many people know that this exists and might involve in discussions that are private but they actually are not since a copy will be saved by default and sent to the host. Pros Zoom meetings have definitely become a part of everyday business especially for educational purposes. The ability to mute learners to keep on task for daily lessons is essential. Yet it still has the chat box so that if students have a question they can type it in then get the answer without interrupting the lesson. The teacher can decide if the question is important enough to answer at that given time. It has backgrounds and themes if you don't want to have people see you or you can put your camera on if you need them to see you. The menu makes it user friendly even if you need to share your screen with the presenters Cons The zoom meetings have come a long way from 2020 when we had privacy issues and people getting into meetings without permission. Now they have that all set so presenters have to let people in to the meetings. Sometimes it takes a while for everyone to get on because of that but better to have those in place.
