This is my online go to product for meetings and podcast recording. Very rarely have I lost a recording using Zoom. Pros I use Zoom Work Place because it's easy and just works. Very few meetings get dropped. It records locally and into the cloud. Cons Two things - it was would be nice if it recorded participants audio in seperate tracks and it can be considered expensive. The UI is super easy to navigate as an end user and there are so many options to join a meeting (via link, meeting ID, dial in, desktop app, etc.). It also integrates really well if you use Outlook calendar or Google Calendar. As an admin, managing users and licenses is pretty easy. Pros Ease of use and navigation. Offers video conferencing, virtual soft phone (calling and SMS texting), and conference room integrations (Zoom Rooms). Its so easy to join and host a meeting. Plently of in meeting settings and features such as chat, file sharing, white boarding, and screensharing. Integrates well with M365 and Google Workspace. Cons Setting up Zoom Rooms can be a little tricky, especially when trying to link a calendar to each room. And most recently, the ability to use SMS text with their virtual phone has gotten harder to setup. Cons I do not like their notification system as it can tend to be a bit spotty as it will try to send notifications to your current active application. This can cause issues to not receiving notifications on the go and turning off feature tends to be just as spotty. Being able to share slides and chat within the meeting are great to add to meeting. Pros I enjoy the ease of use. Having gotten used to zoom, I find that it is seamless and most of my clients are already familiar with the product. Cons There are times clients have been late as they needed to update it before using it since the last time. It would be nice if there was a window to prompt a person to update at the end of the session. Screensharing is fantastic - always works and appears correctly, is quick, and is usefully customizable (tab, window, app, full screen). The chat and annotation features are useful and good for engagement. Integration with email and Slack saves time and reduces friction. Features such as background blur, pause video, and mute are vital for empowering participants privacy. Cons Sometimes (rarely but occasionally) Zoom crashes or is slow to load. This is a essential tool for remote positions! Pros What I most like about Zoom is the breakout room feature. It is really good for facilitating smaller group discussion within larger meetings. You don't really create each small group meeting from one large meeting thanks to the breakout room feature. Good UI/No hassle. AI features does translate/summarize meetings with quite good accuracy. Cons I don't think i have any dislike about Zoom Workplace. The Zoom Workplace app could be little heavy, which makes your computer bit slower, due to many features. I've utilized it for group study sessions, classes, and even to stay in touch with family members during lockdown. Pros Even for those who are not extremely tech-savvy, Zoom makes it very simple to set up and join meetings. My online college coursework and later group projects were the main uses for it. For presentations and conversations, breakout spaces and screen sharing were quite helpful. A strong internet connection usually results in clear audio and video quality. Cons Low internet speed might occasionally cause calls to slow or drop. Group meetings under the free plan are limited to 40 minutes, which can be inconvenient if the session is lengthy. I've been using Zoom both as a general user and also for hosting larger meetings. It adapts well to all these situations and can even include phone-in users when needed. Pros Does what it sets out to do with minimal problems, decent controls and very reliable servers. Plenty of settings to tweak, and adapts well to varying bandwidths and fluctuating speeds. Cons A few UI design issues make life a little hard for hosts and co-hosts, but this is a minor complaint. I can always go back to extract missed detail. Cons It consumes a lot of data...this kind of makes it lag when the network isn't optimal. Pros It is the favourite for virtual meetings and conferencing in video and audio, and it is great value for money, as it provides a good capacity for recording and access to features. and it is very easy to use, and communication for a large team, and sharing resources. Cons I like it overall, but the chat sometimes is less flexible than required, and I can not find the emojis and stickers I am looking for.
