Pros It's wonderful when you can be on a zoom call with clients, family, and friends no matter where they are in the country or outside of the country. The features are wonderful to use. It's easy to share your screen with a PowerPoint presentation, chat in the book while someone is speaking, and like the emoji that you can use to show how you feel about the discussion. Cons I don't like that sometimes that the screen will freeze up to one or two participants, and the limitation of which it has on how many people can be on the call at the same time. Pros The breakout room features on zoom have made our annual Research Management Council meetings covid safe and also allowed us to comply with our conflict of interest clauses. This has been integral to ensuring our processes remain gold standard. Cons I would like to be able to conduct several zoom meetings at the same time with greater ease. It makes it easy to connect with my team and have some level of human contact in a face to face video setting. Pros I have used many video conferencing tools and think zoom is by far the best. It is easy to use, has built in features for polls, breakout rooms, backgrounds, and filters. You can enable a waiting room, password or keep it open for attendees to join before the host. You can also easily record meetings to the cloud or a desktop. Cons The only con I can think of is more related to my computer than zoom, but you need a specific processor speed to run zoom backgrounds and my Mac book air doesn’t support this function. You very rarely face any audio/video issues and that is one of the greatest benefits zoom gives you. Also it's free to use. So I assure you, you will have no regrets in using this software. Pros Zoom meetings is a wonderful software to use in E-learning. It is very simple and easy to use and that is a great feature when it comes to teaching elementary kids online. The ability to share one's screen in a meeting is great because it makes the virtual classroom not much less different from the physical classroom. The best thing is you don't need an extra fast connection to join a meeting on zoom. Cons The few drawbacks I see is that the inability to assign projects through zoom and the inability to create a virtual classroom and add your students to it, so that you don't have to keep sending the link to all your students every time you host a meeting. Pros I like most, the screen sharing and file sharing is awesome. This is a big help in training individuals remotely. Cons Ok here we go, when i downloaded zoom in my laptop ive encountered just a little issues. Whenever im going to use my headset using video cam for recording, there is no audio coming, the whole video is muted. It took me an hour to troubleshoot. I have check everything and in the end to resolve is to uninstall zoom in my laotop. And i will re install it again after the video recording or if i need zoom app for meeting using my laptop again. Reason for choosing Zoom Workplace I have mention above about the screen sharing and file sharing which really helps our task quickly. In addition to it, its very easy to use. Pros Real-time sharing the screen is the most useful feature for me. When we give a presentation to customers or discuss a problem with a team, with documents on the screen at the same time, which facilitates better understanding and communication. Cons When I share my screen, actually I just want to share a window, but if I switch to other applications for example it comes a message I need to reply, it will show on screen as well. If I could choose which window to share, operations in other windows would not be shared on the screen, that would suit my needs better. One of the reasons to like the software was that it was the first one to allow remote meetings when the COVID19 started! :) Keep up the good work team Zoom! Pros 1\. It is an easy to use and easy to configure software. Available for computers and mobile devices. 2. User has a default meeting ID which can be used in any meeting anytime without need to create new meeting IDs. 3. Screen sharing is configurable. One can share a window or entire screen with a single mouse click. 4. Multiple users can share screens. 5. Meeting organizer has full control to mute/unmute participant's mics. Our organization still uses zoom for our staff meetings as we are lucky enough to have a flexible schedule. Pros Zoom has been amazing and a lifesaver when our world nearly shut down. If it weren't for zoom I do not think I would have had the opportunity to keep my job and the ability to work remotely. Zoom has different features that make it fun and interesting to use. It allows us the ability to share our screen, which shares specific information and/or presentation. I have used to lead training and presentations and have also been on the receiving end of training via Zoom. Zoom has a simple lay out (I prefer the Zoom lay out compared to other similar systems). It is easy to navigate. I have personally found that I have less connection issues with Zoom compared to other systems, which makes training and meetings so much easier. Delivering training via Zoom is easy and you can control the whiteboard & break out rooms which is great for engagement. I like that it's user friendly and the videos are clearer and closer than other software that I've worked with. Cons Switching between using the keyboard and annotating could be easier if the menu bar is fixed on the screen. Communications becomes very productive when a visual aspect is available. During the COVID lockdowns the software was invaluable im my community and kept the kids motivated and happy, at least they could see each other and complete their school assignments with their teachers present.
