My experience with Zoom Workplace has been very positive overall. It is the gold standard for video conferencing, and the quality is consistently high. While it’s evolving into more than just a meeting tool, I mostly rely on it for seamless video calls and quick sync-ups. It’s definitely a solid choice for any team that prioritizes smooth, worry-free meetings.

Pros

The absolute best part about Zoom Workplace is how incredibly reliable and easy to use the video calls are. It just works every time, which is essential. The screen sharing and breakout rooms are very intuitive, and it’s been a great tool for maintaining team collaboration even when we are all working remotely.

Cons

I feel like the platform has become a bit bloated as they’ve added more 'workplace' features. It can sometimes be confusing to find specific settings within the app, and the constant updates can be a little intrusive if you're in the middle of a busy workday.

It is my favorite tool for daily meetings when working remotely. It has a few glitches here and there, but it does get the job done overall.

Pros

The video quality is and has always really sharp, and it's super easy to share my screen during meetings.

Cons

It takes up a lot of computer memory, and at times the occasional lag during large group calls can be annoying.

Pros

Before using it at this workplace, I didn't know Zoom Workplace even existed. I really liked video call quality and the chat integration allowed you to just go into it right there. The web app was very good.

Cons

The actual app was a little bulky. And the shared file management could be improved. Otherwise it wasn't that bad.

My overall experience with Zoom has been excellent. It has become our primary tool for remote communication and daily stand-up meetings. It helps us stay connected and productive without any major connection drops.

Pros

Zoom is incredibly user-friendly and reliable for online meetings. The video and audio quality are top-notch, even on lower internet bandwidth. Features like screen sharing, virtual backgrounds, and meeting recording make team collaboration very smooth and efficient.

Cons

Sometimes the desktop application consumes too much RAM, which can slow down older computers during long meetings. Also, the 40-minute limit on the free version can be a bit disruptive for longer team discussions.

Zoom has stayed in my regular rotation because it just works. There are newer options out there, but it's still my first choice.

Pros

Call quality is consistently good, and the controls are simple enough that clients who aren't particularly tech-savvy can join without issues. Screen sharing, recording, and breakout rooms all work the way they're supposed to. For client-facing meetings, it's also familiar so most people already have it installed, which makes a big difference.

Cons

The free tier time limit can be frustrating if you're doing longer calls, and the desktop app can be resource-heavy and slows down my laptop

Yawn. It's boring, and I can't imagine how they are going to stay competitive if they don't have a real overhaul with real capabilities in mind.

Pros

It's got a few tools that make it slightly better than a standard video chat from any device or platform, but the whole interface plus the bells and whistles look like something from 2004. We know what it can do. That's what is good about it.

Cons

It's old, not very dynamic, and it does the very least you would want a virtual meeting platform to do. It peaked early, and they have made almost no improvements or revisions since it came out. It looks like they don't care about user experience or growth.

Overall - great experience, I have used zoom in most ways they current offer it. From texting prospects, to virtual meeting hosting, to simple phone calls - it has handled it all.

Pros

Ease of use. Zoom has been the gold standard for an easy to use and quick to adopt platform. Whether it’s using the call function, video meetings, text platform, or others - zoom makes navigating through all the features as easy as possible.

Cons

My biggest slightly critical point for zoom is its narrow use case in today’s software environment. As new platforms crop up, and AI becomes more prevalent, I feel you are able to find good alternatives to zoom for fractions of the cost. However, zoom is now almost a legacy platform - establish and strong - with plenty benefits to use it.
