Pros: ease of use; intuitive; online accessibility; fruit scheduling calendar; additions rate calculator; vessel history

Cons: Print workorder

o Fixes

o Removed vessels still print

o Skipped tasks still print

o Long notes don't print in their entirety

o Ability to collapse tasks so they don't print

o Lot code and tank # (when applicable) more prominent and always on top

Sort and Search

o Ability to sort by task in workorder screen

o Ability to sort by task in calendar screen

o Calendar search doesn't hide open work orders when used as is

o Add a location column in lot explorer (allow sorting by this column)

o Make tags comma delimited for export (so they can be individually sorted in excel)

Open-workorder (created and saved)

o Ability to re-order tasks

o More flexibility in editing tasks, lots, vessels, etc

o Edit topping material, ie topping material used up from one lot, so winemaker switches to a new lot to top from (inefficient to rewrite workorder with a different topping lot); this would also mean allowing multiple topping lots within the same topping task, which would be helpful as well.

o Rack and return if winemaker doesn't choose to select a holding vessel, I can't add after the fact

o Drain and press if winemaker chooses to combine free run and press wine, but then decides as the wine is pressing to make a press cut, we have to rewrite the workorder

Innovint is an intuitive and straightforward cloud-based winemaking tool, but has room to grow

Pros: The interface is user friendly. Anybody with a winemaking background can figure it out on their own, without formal training. It's got a corresponding app and it's cloud based. I have access to it anywhere in the winery or from home. The customer support is very responsive and they help with any question(big or small) very quickly. TTB is reporting is fairly straightforward. Love how Innovint tries to eliminate data entry time(FOSS data upload and other .csv imports). Innovint does a great job of tracking all the wine movements!

Cons: My complaints about Innovint are mostly related to actually facilitating the work at the winery.

We are a barrel by barrel facility and there is not a simple way to sort the inventory of barrels by the wine inside(important for pulling samples and topping). Some of the work orders are very cumbersome to create. The website becomes very slow for big work orders and occasionally crashes. Printed work orders are hard to work off of. The work orders on the app are also a bit confusing.

Innovint has thus far been user friendly.

Pros: I like how despite being on the cloud, the action on the interface is quite smooth. Comparing it to something like Google Sheets, it runs much more smoothly. Integrating the ETS analysis automatically to our records will prove useful. The robust detail in the vessel section from barrels is helpful. Being able to write notes and them compare notes on each barrel is also helpful.

Cons: Not all data can export into a csv file. For example, a 15 barrel lot of Pinot noir might have barrels making a single vineyard, barrels making a regional blend, and barrels getting declassified. The functionality of writing notes via Iphone is hugely convenient. However, the only way to access those notes is to click on each barrel individually. The notes are of the upmost importance and Innvint should be able to export those into a file. I was told the workaround for this was to create a tag, but it's not possible to create a tag with the Iphone (at least I have not found a means for doing that).

The long and the short is that all the data at every level should be able to export to file. Using Excel in conjuction with Innovint for this finer data would make Innovint that much more robust.

Overall: That's kind of an amorphous question.

Innovint benefits the cellar and production dynamic in that it creates a cloud-based, user friendly way for all aspects of grapes to wine to be tracked, planned and executed.

Pros: Design and interface is clean, modern, and functional. Most operations are very easy to track. Configurable templates for repetitive operations allow you to customize your workflow to your winery processes. iPhone app is very handy on the winery floor for data capture and retrieval on the fly. Generating compliance forms has seemed to go very smoothly so far (hopefully that will continue as our operation gets more complex).

Cons: Really need an Android app. (I'm an iOS user, so I'm fine, but my partner in the winery is an Android guy and he's out in the cold.) I'd love to see some costing functionality added to make life easier on us from an accounting perspective. It's a little burdensome at this point to manually convey wine movements to the accountants for them to integrate into our COGS tracking.

Overall: Clean and easy tracking of winery inventory and operations. I am most excited about having ready access to data about past vintages as time progresses and we're looking back at previous years. Having all that data in a well-functioning system is key to our success. At my first winery job, we used very archaic software to manage production, and the burden of using that system nearly outweighed the benefits thereto. Not the case with Innovint.

Pros: It makes a lot of daily winemaking process simple and streamlined, having instant access to some features on mobile makes referencing lots and wines very simple. It has been easy teaching people how to use the software over the years, without too much training required for new users.

Much better than other softwares out there

Cons: Still has limitations, but generally improving. Can be cumbersome to operate, a lot of clicks to accomplish tasks. Requires a lot of data entry on different screens to accomplish a single task (example of inboarding wine received in bond from a new vineyard source - requires four full steps on different pages to complete)

Easy to use interface. Everything can be found in moments

Pros: The homepage is great. I can see all of the most important aspects of my wine in just a glance. The "tag" feature is a huge plus as it allows me to know characteristics/history of the wine as well as help me understand which wines have not reached specific benchmarks.

Cons: I wish the app was compatible with android products as well. Every so often Innovint will be down. Usually it only lasts for 30 minutes to an hour but that is tough sometimes. If there was a way to allow basic features to be done while offline, at the very least be able to view the info, that would be great.

Overall: It saves me a ton of time doing paperwork, from recording info to TTB reports. The Innovint team was also super helpful in working out any of the kinks I found along the way. The problems were almost always solved within a few hours (usually instantly).

InnoVint takes the the mind-ache out of wine tracking. The web based interface is seamless.

Pros: I like the ability to navigate different lots with new tabs in the browser. Now that the tabs are labeled, it makes it easy to look at multiple lots at once. The ease of labeling vessels and printing QR codes really helps organize our topping wines. The instant, real-time updates to our lots and their movements and the work order creation is fantastic.

Cons: The only con would be: if a vessel has been emptied by mistake and the mistake was caught a few weeks down the road, then, it is a little difficult having to back track and reverse all the actions applied to said vessel since the mistake occurred so you can free up the vessel and correct the mistake.

Overall: Ease of wine tracking losses and gains. Powerful information within an easy interface. Tags are a tremendous source of supplementary information.

The efficiency of a cellar program is never lauded on the back label, but Innovint keeps me focused.

Pros: It seems to be written by winemakers so its intuitive yet requires proper input steps for my staff. They have to be diligent about entries and that makes for better wine making decisions. When there is confusion the support staff is quick to respond and either make changes or show us how to better understand the system. I love the 702 aspect. It has kept my grey hair from more quickly advancing. Also, it is handling our custom crush business with ease.

Cons: It does not handle apple varieties and cider very well...yet...I really want cider to be part of the 702.

Overall: Less confusion more time making wine.

Software is easy to use, but with a few bugs. Still lacking functionality and breadth of reporting

Pros: I like the aesthetics and the intuitive interface.

The searchability and sorting features do make it easy to navigate.

I also like the direct connectivity to ETS (I wish the connectivity to Enartis were established too)

Cons: - We are still getting many popup notifications "Something went wrong... try again"

_ I wish the link between the vessel and the lot number was a lot tighter and more interchangeable (It would be easier to make work orders by entering either the lot number or the vessel, vs lot number first and then choose the vessel - Lot numbers use a lot more characters than tank numbers and it is often, not always easier to remember a tank number than a complicated lot acronym)

- I wish Exports to Excel would be more comprehensive

- I would love to be able to make corrections in the past without having to re-enter every subsequent operations.

I really love working with InnoVint: good product and good people

Pros: Online tracking from vinyeard to bottle. AWESOME. The automated lab reporting is a godsend: finally, all my lab info in one place that's easy to access.

Cons: There are a few features relating to blending that I wish existed. It can sometimes be a pretty laborious process to dial this in.

I'm sure it will get better as time goes on.

Overall: organized and easily accruable information that can be shared with multiple users.

Intuitive design: rather than having a developer create a product and then making users understand it, they seemed to think of things from the role of a winemaker.

Easy to navigate between wine actions, even for first time users. Lightning fast software, Love it!

Pros: Tractability of each lot, and each action attributed during the life of wine from grape to bottle. Also, each wine movement or addition is recorded on the calendar automatically, which has drastically reduced the user error compared to Excel tracking or manual entry software.

Cons: I would like to see advancement in usability of the Innovint App. We are sometimes in positions where we have no access to a computer, but would like to update or edit a work order, wine lot, chemical additive, or vessel and must run back to the office to make updates before we can continue.

Overall: Great software, easy to use for first time users, can't say enough good things about Innovint.

When we made the switch our winemaking team was able to focus even more on making fantastic wines.

Pros: Barrel tracking ability - we wanted to be able to see the entire history of what has been in a barrel in case we had a wine that was causing issues.

Work orders are streamlined - work orders can be made for cellar tasks that input them into the software instead of having to re-enter them, and I can also keep the work orders all in one place by using the custom item to ask the cellar staff to do things that might not apply to the wines.

Preview blends - we can see what exactly is in a possible blend to make sure our AVA designates are appropriate, and our label counts are accurate.

Cons: Sometimes the software is intuitive, but once you have put in 15 minutes of work and try to submit it there is a problem that can't be fixed in the same form and the time and effort put in has to be put in again in a different way to figure out the wine movement, etc.

Overall: Barrel tracking ability, Work order writing, planning is easier, we are able to focus on quality winemaking instead of other day-to-day issues.

We simply love the ease of use and the functionality.

Pros: Simple, all of it. We love how easy it is to use and update. If I had to name one thing, it is the iphone App. I love to be able to see inventory and changes on my phone, no matter where I am in the world.

Cons: Still a bit of a challenge if we top with a different vintage or a different variety across lots of other lots. This seems to make it a blend. Would be cool to have Oak Tank as an option with its own icon. Would be great to get an android app.

Overall: We are keeping much better track of our inventory and the management of our wine QC. Also, the 702's are now very easy to file. Saves me lots of spreadsheets and hours of hassle.

Pros: I most enjoy the intuitive nature of the search engine. Also been having fun playing with work order templates.

Cons: I am not a fan of the backdating function. It's a bit clunky. Also I would like to see much more functionality in the mobile app. It would be nice to have the same features within the app so it the system can be used in an offline mode if need be. In our cellar we are trying to implement use of the software on an ipad so we can move around but it's tough having to use the browser.

Overall: Ability to quickly locate lots and vessels is huge for us. Also the report generator has saved us so much time.

Pros: The functionality and the ability for them to alter the system to the needs of the winery is fantastic. Looks like a mac but functions like a PC!!

Cons: Still needs some blending fucntions so I do not have to pretend to blend into a fake vessel but I should be able to take vessels (i.e. barrels) from on lot and assign them to a new lot with out transfers

Pros: The software is mostly user friendly. I have extensive experience with Winemaker's Database (user hostile), and Vintrace, which is probably the overall leader in the field. I definitely feel that continued development of Innovint, where they are quite responsive with user feedback, will push the software to the top of the pack. Good to have Innovint on the cloud.

Cons: Oh, just little things. Not being able to open up a new tab, without logging in. Some inflexibility, like having to choose lots with additions. No major issues off the top of my head. However, if I find any serious bugs, I will definitely supply constructive criticism going forward.

Pros: QR Code functionality is great as is the overall layout of the software. I also like the ability to create barrel tags as in the past we've just been relying on duct tape and sharpie.

Cons: The mobile interface could use some updates like the ability to assign a batch for an additive to an existing work order if the creator doesn't do so for the employee. Additionally the 702 functionality seems to have some glitches when trying to generate gallons from sweetening.

Overall: I was able to put the whole operation in my pocket and readily accessible from any computer. This has drastically increased my productivity and overall quality of work.

Pros: I like the ease at which I can retrieve and review information, the ease of sorting, and with barrels I like that I can add as little or as much info as I want.

Pros: Inventory on date. When I took over the reporting for this winery, they did not have a saved copy of the bulk inventory as of the end of the last year (it was May at this time) but I could still go back and create the information that I needed.

Pros: I like being able to see my quantities of different wines at a glance. I look forward to the ease of completing my year end reports.

Cons: Getting my staff to use it! It is not quite as intuitive as I wish it were. It takes some practice to recognize what tasks are called and how they are entered.

Overall: In the past we've used plastic envelopes with cards hanging on escutcheons on the front of the barrels to identify what wines were in them, which often would blow off leaving us scratching our heads. Then I added numbers to each barrel, but sometimes they would wash off. Now we have the QR tags from Innovint, and I can scan them with my phone to tell exactly what is in the barrel and how long it's been there! We just reviewed all of our 2017's yesterday and realized we did not have racking entered for one batch and figured out that was because we skipped over it, which was a really crucial catch.

Pros: I like the searchability across different lots, even those belonging to separate clients. I may not always know where to look / click for some bit of information, but I can type a few letters and get closer to the info I'm seeking.

Cons: It's not very fudge-able. Veers from cellar management priorities into some tricky accounting issues with regard to exact volumes. End result is that what's really in the cellar never exactly lines up with what's in the software.

Pros: Clear, user friendly interface. Information at our fingertips. Great customer support. Continually expanding its capabilities in response to customer demand. Love the new Cost of Goods calculator!

Cons: Once a wine is bottled, you can't go back and make adjustments, corrections and additions. Other than that, so far, I have no complaints. My staff is delighted and every winemaker I talk to loves InnoVint.

Has simplified our cellar operations so much!

Pros: it makes everyone's life easier at the wineries, easy to scan breakdown vessels, track wines, and utilize historic data

Pros: Ease of use and functionality are the strengths for sure. It isn't nearly as complicated as others and you don't need to be a coder to understand how it works.

Cons: Has a difficult time with complex operations. When there are complex wine movements it can get bogged down. And if there are too many lots on one work order, the system freezes.

Overall: It makes my life easier.

Pros: The interface is very clear to read, organized and totally user-friendly. The way each category is broken down and the various reporting options are fantastic. The visual interpretations of each wine lot is also a fun feature that helps make quick assessments of each lot. Work order entry and tracking is a great feature as well.

Cons: So far I have not run into any major cons with this program as I have only been using it for a short period of time. I would say that it takes some added brain power to create a work order for a complicated blend which involved many vessels, partial contents and lots.

Overall: Tracking, live updates and analysis integration.

Pros: The Bottlings and Inventory reports have saved me hours of time each month. No longer do I have to nag my winemaker to give me our bulk wine report and piece together what he bottled the prior month. I also like that I can run the reports for any time span. Just about everything can be exported to excel which is useful. Lastly, their customer service is very responsive.

Cons: Looking at lots requires going to different pages rather than just scrolling. It takes a bit to learn how to read the Lot Histories.

Pros: Love the ability to enter work orders at my computer and have my staff receive notifications and provide updates on completion via the mobile app.

Cons: It can be tricky to write work orders that capture every single detail of a wine movement and adjustment - but that's more about figuring out how to write everything down in a formulaic way than it is about the software.

Overall: Makes it very easy to file required reports to TTB, and to track and look up historical information on wine production.

Pros: mobile device work orders are a great way to assign and follow the evolution of all wine lots.

The real time analysis complements this features and allows for faster and informed decision making.

Cons: The limitation for Apple users on the phone app is a drawback as not all employees have this type of device.

Cons: reports are not always easy to figure out, I am still learning the various functions and how they work. Not necessarily a con about the software but more about the time needed to learn a new system
