"Reliable IT asset management you can trust"
Overall: Starting to use Alvao has been a very welcome change as we were only using spreadsheets and Intune and the inventory has been expanded to more locations. In addition, the records were not updated during the detection phase and as you might expect, we were not always able to update them manually. Alvao has helped us consolidate the records into one place so that we can finally really rely on the records.
Pros: I think it is the way it is intuitive and easy to use. Also, most of the manual work such as updating and discovering the network is fully automated, so I can be confident that the records reflect reality.
Cons: The desktop app worked a little better for me than the new web app.
"Great tool for IT asset management"
Overall: Asset Management saves us a lot of time with tracking assets (primarly hardware and software), we are able to manage end-to-end lifecycle of each asset in our company, which is crucial in our industry.
Pros: - It helps organize our assets better - the tree of objects is a great feature making managemenet of asset a lot easier - all activity with assets are automaticly logged providing us full audit trails - the discovery agent helps us automatically detect assets from anywhere - finally we know what we have, what is the cost and the lifecycle status
Cons: I have been using Alvao for 5 years and there is nothing what I dislike so far - luckily
"Not great not terrible"
Pros: Fast UI - the installed client. The support (which is paid extra or you wait like 5 days for every answer! - beware of that) is quite OK. Minimum resources consumed on managed devices.
Cons: The web interface is bad. Clumsy and done by someone who has never done any web design. The SQL tables and some procedures are localized in Czech language! So you can find a collum names "uživatel" or table names with multiple white spaces etc.
"A tool that saves a lot of time and money for asset tracking"
Overall: Alvao asset management saves us a lot of money and energy. We have a clear overview of all assets now.
Pros: - Possibility to see all assets, we can easily see everything we have, where and the ownership. - Drag and drop option for moving things between departments easily. - We can keep track of all hardware and software for example boats, servers, notebooks, phones, keys, licenses, contracts, people, places, and more. - History logs: We can see all changes made to each asset. - Easy reporting with Power BI templates to see stock, warranty ends, etc. - Overview of licenses and contracts wih expiration dates and all details. - Asest Inventory helps us to make sure we have everything in stock. - Mobile app access that can scan codes in the field without a laptop. That is great for our technicians out there. - Quick deployment and amazing customer support from Alvao's side. We were ready to use asset management within a few weeks.
Cons: Basic knowledge base More difficult search field and set up views when I want to see certain list of tickets Upgrades for new version only once a year
"ALVAO Asset Management"
Overall: Very good product suitable as a basis for creating CMDB and the development of the process of Asset and Configuration Management. It allows easy and clear registration of non IT elements as well (for example facility management).
Pros: Great for licence management and inventory SW with available connection to MS SCCM or an autonomous ALVAO agent. Easy expansion and connection to the ALVAO ServiceDesk. Great support and regular development of this product.
Cons: In the case where there are more independent organisations registered, the management of the authorizations in the area of licences and attachments is being implemented gradually.
