To our surprise, we were able to learn very quickly. Pros Certainly one of the main positive features is the ease of data capture, enabling a more versatile data entry.Having its own API facilitates integration. Pros Data presentation is clean and understandable Inputting data in the field is easy and verifiable and near real time Objects can be controlled /manipulated by system admins so we have control over our presentation Cons Waiting on report building feature set to come out soon so I can build custom reports. By using Scout we have saved time and become more efficient for the field operations as well as the office users. We are saving field operators an average of 2 hours a day of data entry by bringing in SCADA data into the application. The program allows for our company to be more and more efficient by the day. Cons New features take a little bit of time to get added due to testing and iOS approval. Developer is quick to add or modify reports. Cons Data entry in the web app could be designed better for easy entry and viewing. Reason for choosing Scout FDC Scout was much more reasonably priced and easy to use. Pros This software enables myself and our field personnel to do more with our time. It streamlines data entry and capture for all of our producing wells and works very well with our existing telemetry and databases. The software's ability to mold to our needs while also offering upgrades that other customers are suggesting without much additional cost is the best feature. Cons The monthly reconciliation process is a feature that was missing initially but is currently being developed. We also hope to use the reporting process a bit more extensively than is currently being utilized.
