At first, we weren’t quite sure what to expect as we had not used a service like avidxchange in the past, but it was good. Pros This is a good service offered that provides value for the money invested. Their customer support was always very helpful. Our company liked the additional level of security offered, and permissions for different user accounts which gave more credibility in our reporting. Cons Sometimes there was a delay of a day getting payment to my vendors. That typically happened when there was a holiday, which is to be expected. Pros My company processes employee expense reports within AvidXchange and it has simplified this process. It provides a paper-free and secure way of submitting these reports, as well as a method for approval. We also use AvidXChange for accounts payable, and it is a great tool for tracking what is owed to our vendors and providing the needed documents for audit purposes. I have never experienced any issues with performance or speed with AvidXchange; I have found it to be reliable and helpful. Cons My only complaint is that the dashboard/home screen is confusing when trying to navigate to a specific function. However, this may be due to the fact that I’m the Internal Auditor for my company so I have access to both my employee dashboard as well as some of the Accounts Payable functions. From the moment an invoice is uploaded, we have complete, timestamped visibility into its entire activity history, covering every action, review, and approval step. This comprehensive audit trail is invaluable for compliance and internal controls. Furthermore, the features supporting team collaboration are highly effective, particularly the ability to leave internal notes directly on the invoice, ensuring clear communication and smooth handoffs between staff members. I also particularly value the granular control over user permissions, which allows us to set highly specific abilities and restrictions for each staff member, significantly enhancing security and compliance across the board. Cons My primary area for improvement concerns the clarity of the check status reporting within the payment processing module. That is how I would describe my overall experience with AvidXchange ... Scoring: A+ 100! Pros While I must admit I was very reluctant to make this move, it was a painless transition. AvidXchange has lightened my workload. My invoices are scanned to AVID, they enter the majority of the invoice details and I verify, perform filling account coding and post invoices for processing. Using AVID has cut my AP processing time by probably 30-50%. Very user-friendly AND a time-saver ... LOVE IT! Cons My only issue with this program is limiting reporting THOUGH I believe this is in the control of the Administrator/CFO of our organization and their setup preferences.
