Pros: Platform and Infrastructure / Reliability and SLA are best in class. The technical support model results in a reduction in burden to our resources. Leader in industry reviews (Forrester / Gartner). Has all the compliance and certifications we require. Security for network, firewall, application layers and system updates and security patching support.
Cons: Acquia has a high cost, at 100k annually. It's important to understand that the service replaces a FTE.
Overall: Overall security, and timely restoration of service in the event of a problem are most important. The vendor's ability to respond to requests and fix problems is second most important, this is linked with the need to reduce the burden on our resources. Acquia exceeds expectations in all these areas.
