### "Small candy manufacturer "

February 10, 2026

5.0

Overall. Great product that I would recommend to any small business. It is easy to use and is a great product to manage inventory and cost products.

Pros

The product is very easy to use an intuitive. I was able to import starting inventory and build recipes. I manufactured 3 items yesterday and it consumed everything correctly. Customer support is great too.

Cons

Not sure if it is the user(me) or the software but the purchase unit vs usage unit didn’t work for me. I buy chocolate by the case but consume lbs. I put the conversion in but recipe consumed the purchase unit vs lbs. Not a huge issue. I just entered everything in lbs with no conversion.

### "How do I feel about Craftbase? Thankful it is there"

April 2, 2026

5.0

Awesome. From stock control, product traceability for compliance, costing and making life easier, I'd say Crafty base is best even for a smal, newl bakery such as mine

Pros

I loved the support the product offers. There is a lot of in product support and lots of instruction but I am a huge overthinker and the email support function was just amazing. It helped me get to grips with things and later on when I had to suspend my subscription due to a health issue that meant I couldnt work, they showed me how to capture and save my data for when i restart. It took me a little time to figure out what product features I needed and again getting me to the right solution I got great support. I had previously used a competitor product mainly because it was free. I was new to baking and software and discovered - as I tried to get reports sorted etc - that I needed a more professional piece of software and Craftybase is it.

Cons

It is a little more complicated than it first looks so read the help sheets and think about structure. SKUs are not compulsory but better you use them . I learn by doing rather than reading so I eventually had to start again with things. But it was no problem to the guys at teh other end of the email! And understanding what the "units" are can be tricky - at least I struggled with that for a while

### "Wish it had a few more features"

November 24, 2025

3.0

Overall it's been an improvement over Soapmaker and I like being able to assign projects and check things from home. Support has been fairly responsive and helpful. Setup took a lot of time and some of my employees haven't liked how long it takes to get their batch paperwork going. Printing is laborious sometimes.

Pros

I do like the capabilities and it being on the cloud. However there are some features that would be helpful. It made my organic inspection easy because I could just easily pull up the batches for my mass balance audit.

Cons

I don't like that when I assign a manufacture it doesn't give any warning about a low-stock component/material. I don't like that I can't easily see what projects have been assigned to what employee. I've love daily email digests that tell me what needs to get on order, what we're getting low on. I'd love to be able to have batch numbers that are just numerical. Right now they're both letters and numbers so I had to get new batch guns for marking my batches. It's laborious to have to change the batch numbers on the guns. I'd love to be able to see what's on hand vs. what the batch will take when I go to assign a manufacture. I'd love a button on the "manufacture's" page where I could pull up an employee's assigned projects and there would be buttons where I could see all "work in progress" "not complete" and "recently completed." Would be nice to receive an email when a batch is marked off as completed. Or if a batch status changes - X employee has started working on X batch. That would be awesome. Would love time trackers for employees so I could accurately track how long a batch is taking.

### "Fantastic Manufacturing Capability"

January 2, 2026

5.0

Overall it's an excellent product with great support, and the inability to connect to my accounting system is outweighed by the features and benefits it provides me with

Pros

The ability to create BOM's which can have multiple components and effectively other BOM's built in making them multi layered

Cons

The ability to connect to MYOB accounting, means I have to have 2 systems running. Ideally an integration to other accounting packages would be great.

### "Exactly what I was looking for in an inventory management software!"

August 3, 2025

5.0

Overall, Craftybase is exactly what I was looking for when I was wanting to track my inventory and products, and I love that I can set different levels of pricing and see what my profit margin is.

Pros

I love Craftybase because it is so easy to get started. They offer a 2-week free trial, which is basically the amount of time it took to get most of my materials and products entered. It integrates with many other software programs so it is that much easier to keep track of inventory. The pricing is reasonable, and if you can't find your answer in their chat bot, an email will get you a friendly person responding to you within 2 business days usually. They have made some updates on the look of the site, which was much needed, and they are very open to hearing your suggestions on how to make the program work better for you. I have not had many problems with the program, and the few that I have had were handled very well by the customer service department.

Cons

There are a few things that I would like to have as options on the site, but they are very minor (such as: drop-downs for categories, etc) It would also be nice to have the price charged in CAD, but again, a minor thing.

### "Craftybase provides me with everything I need and is really easy!"

August 1, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Craftybase has been great. The learning curve for the system was very fast and it was very easy to figure out how I should set up my recipes, products, and manufactures.

Pros

Craftybase is able to keep accounts of my purchase orders, inventory and manufactures. It is also very flexible in allowing me to make manual adjustments when needed. I can always count on craftybase to keep records of my ongoing product costs and inventory counts.

Cons

I would like to be able to create Purchase Orders to send to vendors directly from inside of Craftybase. It would allow my order emails to be more standardized.

Reason for choosing Craftybase

Craftybase integrates well with many platforms

### "Small Maker Business in the Real World"

August 2, 2025

4.0

I finally have a program that I don't dread doing my paperwork and helps at tax time with the reports

Pros

As a small maker business, this is easy to use and set up. I love the manual and prompts for inventory. I tried other programs that cost monthly and this is easier and overall cost is scalable.

Cons

Set up was from the beginning. My spreadsheets and other programs didn't translate well. If I use scraps or left overs there is no tracking.

I have never used an inventory management system before but am finding Craftybase easy to use so far especially with the great help from customer service responding quickly to all of my questions!

### "Fabulous for Handcrafted Manufacturers"

March 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, Craftybase has performed well for our handcrafted goat milk soap and lotion. I'm pleased with their program, customer service and time saving elements of this platform.

Pros

Crafty base has allowed me to get a handle on the 130 different product mixes that I currently stock on several selling platforms. At a glance I can see my inventory stock levels. Craftybase has also simplified my gross margin and I now know if my pricing is correct on our products. Customer service is excellent and quick to respond to questions.

Cons

Craftybase needs to increase the platforms that they sync. Our Ecwid and Tik Tok sites currently don't sync which means that I have to manually enter all orders. Set up was tedious and I would encourage more onboarding tutorials to eliminate a lot of wasted input hours.

### "Fantastic software for manufacturing"

March 5, 2026

5.0

Pros

I've been using Craftybase for quite a few years now and I honestly can't imagine my workflow without this software. It has great functionality for tracking manufacturing processes from raw materials to order completion, including full compliance with EU tracebility requirements. The Craftybase support team are great and have never failed to help me with any issues during the years, and I like that they proactively take feedback on board and continuously improve the software.

Cons

I struggled a little with the bulk update functionality when I needed to change currencies as I wasn't very familiar with using CSV files.

### "Highly Recommend - The easiest materials, products, process & management & reporting program "

August 22, 2025

5.0

Everyone at Craftybase are only too happy to help & are very knowledgeable. It does have everything I could want in a program to account for every aspect of my business. I'll happily recommend this to anyone needing to keep track of everything.

Pros

I've been using Craftbase for many years now & have found it so useful with everything I need to track. From adding purchases for matierials, adding products etc, I can keep track of everything associated to my business, process & production management accounting etc. There are also many different reports you can run. Even though I'm in the UK with a different time zone, I always receive very prompt replies from Customer Support with solutions to my queries.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything negative about Craftybase & will continue using it for years to come.

### "Worth it! Stay organized and know the true cost of your product."

December 1, 2025

5.0

Great experience. I like the quick response, knoweldge base is always helpful and it seems to have everything I need and some that I didn't know I needed yet.

Pros

Easy to use, and customer service is FANTASTIC. Any and all questions I have had have been addressed quickly and completely. I can easily navigate the system to create recipes, log purchases, and monitor my material levels. I am also looking forward to trying out the new integration with QuickBooks.

Cons

I would like to be able to inventory non-COGS items by name/description. Such as shipping items. Honestly this may be an option, and I just haven't used it yet. I just decided I needed to do this.

### "My Love for Craftybase!!"

August 2, 2025

Between all of the features: keeping track of purchases, orders, inventory, recipes I’m not sure where to begin. Also when I have an issue, they are an email away.

Pros

The recipes are amazing, it figures out my COGS, helps me determine pricing for wholesale and keeps track of my spending.

Cons

The tracking of consignment better and not being able to put enter in a deposit down for wholesale orders.

### "Craftybase - Powerful inventory and organizing database "

April 24, 2025

5.0

I have had a great experience with Craftybase. I started when my business was small, and I am still learning all it has to offer as my business grows. I’m looking forward to growing my business with Craftybase for many years to come.

Pros

Craftybase helps me keep track of my inventory - both raw materials and finished products - while also providing me with the forms and reports I need to monitor my business. It syncs seamlessly with my Etsy shop and helps keep track of orders and costs.

Cons

Not necessarily a con, but the system does have a steep learning curve. Of course it does. It’s an inventory system with a lot of organizing power. I started when my shop was small and it was still pretty time consuming to input all the supplies and figure out what all the system offers. If you have a lot of inventory, just be ready to spend some time entering your information. Once it’s in, though, the database is reliable.

### "Wonderfully Splendid!"

August 1, 2025

5.0

It’s a fantastic system and better than the other systems that are available. I was so happy to be able to edit things, that made my life so much easier!

Pros

I loved the ease of usage. There is a bit of a learning curve in the beginning but there are many videos available to help guide you through self- setup. If you’re feeling less savvy, the team offers a 1:1 meeting to help you as well. I love that this system is more easy to use and more visually appealing than the other systems I had tried. The system flows well together and it allows you to edit things when you mess up on an entry.

Cons

I don’t know of anything negative to say. The only issues I had were self made. I needed to learn how to use it and I messed up a few times along the way!

### "Craftybase is good for small crafters"

August 2, 2025

5.0

I like everything except synching my Etsy inventory within Craftybase inventory. For some reason, I’m unable to get my sku numbers to match. I’ve tried to get help via email support, but it hasn’t been successful after many email exchanges. I really need to talk this through with a live support person.

Pros

Craftybase is reasonably priced for small crafters. It’s fairly easy to use and helps me manage thousands of inventory items.

Cons

Trying to sync my Etsy sales within Craftybase inventory has been impossible so far. I’ve exchanged many emails but never was able to get a resolution.

I've been with Craftybase for my jewelry business since at least 2018 and it has helped me price things accurately, make sure I'm tracking everything and generally making the inventory side of my business easier to run!

Pros

I love being able to accurately track what I have on hand and price according to what I paid for my materials.

Cons

### "Highly Recommend Craftybase"

May 12, 2025

5.0

My experience with Craftybase has been very good. It helps me organize and stay current with my sales and expenditures.

Pros

Craftybase helps me keep track of materials and their quantities. As a weaver and knitter, I need to know exactly how much yarn I have in stock of each fiber, color, and dyelot. That information is easily and quickly obtained in Craftybase.

Cons

I would like Craftybase to have drop-down menus. For example, when choosing a category or a tracking unit, I'd much prefer to click and select rather than having to type in the first few letters of what I need. Also, the relationship between the Manufactures and Products is a little counterintuitive, but it all works.

The experience has been amazing. The onboarding steps make sense and are easy to accomplish. When I needed help the customer support was fantastic!

Pros

### "Craftybase is our go-to Inventory management!"

June 20, 2023

5.0

We have loved the overall experience, and haven't found anything even close to what Craftybase is capable of. It is an essential part of our workflow, and helping us maintain inventory, and recipes. We truly value Craftybase and would recommend to anyone that is a maker, crafter, or in need of solid inventory management.

Pros

We love the ease of use with Craftybase. We have a ton of items that we sell indiviually as ingredients, as well as combined to make other products on our shelves. Craftybase allows us to build these "components" as well keeping track of each individual ingredient. This is by far the most accurate and easiest way we've found to keep track of inventory, and recipes.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve when first starting out, but that is mostly because we had to learn the terms that Craftybase uses, and the functionality behind some of the features. There are tons of good walk-throughs in the system, as well as good examples. Customer service isn't the most reachable. If you have a question, it may take a day to hear back, and they only have email. There is no live chat, or phone support. There's no onboarding calls or dedicated support staff to really help you hit the ground running, so you'll have to spend some time really learning the system, and try and send questions that you don't need immediate answers to.

Reason for choosing Craftybase

Nothing else was as good of a fit in terms of our product and business style. So many inventory management programs seemed designed for large manufacturing facilities and don't have a great system in place for makers. Craftybase is a perfect fit for our store, and what we make every day.
