Responsive customer support, too. Pros Ability to integrate with other platforms and easily track sales and expenses. Actually costing out to get COGS is definitely high on the list. February 28, 2021 5.0 Helps me organize my hundreds and hundreds of styles/types/colors of materials. Integrates nicely with multiple sales platforms. Pros The power in this is amazing! I can search through all my materials by color or fiber content or size or date purchased, etc. It's a lifesaver for me to be able to see my materials with photos and all the data I need. The recipes/manufactures and the way it calculates COGS is super powerful. I can start typing the name of the material and enter the amount — and it calculates the actual cost of materials used based on date of manufacture. Very helpful for makers who have some supply left of an old lower price and new supply purchased at a higher price. will average the cost to figure out what your current COGS is. Cons Being a cloud software, it requires a subscription, which is a bit pricey. And there have been periods of downtime (though they communicate well about outages in the Facebook group). Well worth the monthly fee. All my inventory issues are managed and I know it will be accurate for tax time. Pros integrates almost seamlessly with both Etsy and Shopify. Every time I have had a question or issue, custom service is super helpful and quick. I’ve been using the software for over 5 years, and over that time the developers have listened to community feedback and greatly increased the efficiency and functionality of the software. Once you understand the terminology, you can manipulate the software to benefit your business needs. Cons Could use more bulk edit functionality, and the ability to back edit where a change in a material is automatically reflect in all product recipes and all previous manufactures. I think that once I \*do\* have it set up to fit our particular business, that it will be immensely helpful and far superior to the excel spreadsheets we were using. Pros The price point is excellent for the functions that you get in return. You can get technical support through email and they are quick to respond and very professional with their help. Cons Switching over from my previous inventory system to has been a HUGE learning curve. It's taken me so many hours of research and back and forth communication with their customer service team to try and set things up for my businesses particular situation. I'm still not properly set up after exchanging over 40 emails with them (wish they offered a tier where you could get direct phone support with an approved Craftybase consultant). Pros Owning a craft business it is hard to find methods of maintain inventory levels, when I found I tried the trial and loved it. In addition to the ease of use, everytime I have a question I get a fast, professional response with an easy solution to my issue. Cons I can't think of any other than it does not integrate Etsy shipping labels. It will download but you have to associate it to the sale. It is an easy process. But if you neglect doing it it can take some time to catch up. But am very happy with it and have never look for other options. Cons It is a little confusing in the beginning but within 2 weeks, I was majorly loving this program. They even turned one of my suggestions into a feature and then made sure to tell me so I could use it! I really think you get a lot of value with Craftybase. Pros We manufacture bath and body care products and have increased our private label customer base which means there are more things to track. keeps us on track with inventory, material inventory, orders and expenses. They are always trying to improve the software and add suggested options. Cons There isn't really anything I like least, but I do wish that the sales channel's variations would match up with the variations I create in so I don't have to manually adjust every order to reflect the size. Their customer service has been on point....always quick to respond, friendly and professional. It's been easy to keep up with my expenses and profits for taxes too. Pros It's pretty easy to use. I love that it keeps my recipes and shows when an ingredient is getting low or even the whole product so I can schedule when to restock. I am also thankful that it shows my costs in making each product along with showing recommended retail & wholesale pricing, as well as what my profits are. Cons Some of the features can be confusing. For me, the stocktakes have been too time consuming, so right now it's not my favorite. Reason for choosing Craftybase Soapmaker was suggested by a couple of other soapers on a Facebook post, but I only have Apple computers that will not run on that program so a friend suggested that I try and I'm very happy that I did. I make products that require multiple levels of inventory tracking, and had been looking for software to help me accomplish this for months. When I stubbed upon Craftybase, it was almost too good to be true! The software is easy to use, is detailed enough to be incredibly useful for my business, and automatically syncs with most of my sales channels. It's awesome. I can't recommend it enough. Cons The product variations are useful i some situations, but tricky in others. Pros I love how helps me to track inventory and allows me to set reorder triggers when I approach minimums for stock on hand. It's easy to track manufactures, identify ingredient batches, set pricing for different customer categories, and price/create new, bespoke products using ingredients in the system. Cons Since I leverage less popular outside software, I sometimes have to wait a little longer for integrations that are relevant to me--but there hasn't been anything I've pined for that didn't show up as an option as they continually expand their offerings. Also allows you to calculate prices for multiple platforms Cons System doesn’t calculate cost of goods on product that was built prior to starting the software.
