Pros: Allows me to spend less time on fleet management and more time on other duties. Allows for driver accountability. Before we used manual logs to write in mileage. There were many gaps. Vehicles would be driven 100s of miles with no documentation of where they had been. We were also able to identify dangerous driving habits (90+ mph with a vehicle load of students!). We use it to provide dynamic routing to pickup students that have had their off-site schedule change. Finally, I have a good handle on maintenance and vehicles are serviced on time, because I can plan ahead. We even use it to track car washings. Training is great, customer service has always help me out in that regard.

Cons: There is no way to easily display current mileage. You must go into the edit vehicle function to display current mileage. There is no way to display the mileage of the vehicle during a trip. It will display the mileage traveled during the trip but not the actual vehicle odometer reading. Not a huge deal, but there are times where it might be useful (forgot to write down mileage of service that I performed in-house). Calculated mileage will drift over time, sometimes by a few hundred miles, so you should be adjusting about once a month by comparing actual vehicle mileage with program calculated. Add a driver as user is challenging if driver is not defined as a user first. Customer service is usual great, but it took me almost a month to get additional fobs last time.

The technology and product work reasonably well. The information is an asset to managing the fleet

Pros: The software is relatively intuitive....which is good because the customer support is the worst I have EVER experienced with any product! If you enjoy figuring things out on your own, you will really love this product. You can make it work for you with a little experimentation and some extra time invested.

Cons: The customer support is non existent. They have a lot of nice people answering the phone that are very sorry for your troubles...."someone" will get back to you within 24 hours. Unfortunately when they get back to you they are unable to assist you so they will elevate your issue to the tier 2 rep. The tier 2 rep will then get back with you in 24 hours. The tier 2 rep will likely be unable to help you...but they are also very nice, courteous folks who are sincerely sorry for your issue. The tier 2 rep will elevate it to a high priority and you will be contacted within 24 hours. The high priority rep will email you and ask if you have completed the proper documentation and send the forms to you....these will be the same forms you received and completed prior to this whole cycle beginning. Save the original forms so you can just resend it. It will save you time. I am sure by now you get the point...I have waited well over 6 weeks to get a device installed in a vehicle for fleet expansion. This has happened on more than one occasion. At present I am looking for another vendor who has equivalent technology with a matching suite of genuine customer service. My advice would be that you continue to look elsewhere and see what you can find before you are trapped in a 24 hour service cycle!

Awful Customer Support - ELD Doesn't work

Pros: The GPS system works fairly well and the reports are handy. The online interface is easy to use. Drivers are simple to set up, customer service is awful.

Cons: Our rep had no idea how the ELD system he was selling was going to work. After asking numerous questions about mobile device compatibility we ordered and installed 9 logbooks into our trucks. Before installation we were told that they would work with iPhone, iOS, and all Android devices. After they were installed they told us we had received ELD devices that would only work on Android. No Apple devices were compatible. We then ordered 3 Android tablets for our apple users and setup data plans for those . We still can't use all of the ELD required features because now they don't work with Android phones, only tablets! I talked all of this over with our rep before we ordered. I don't think he lied, I think he had no idea! The updated App we need for the phones is still "being developed" and we still don't have it. I can't get thru on the phone and our rep was either fired or quit. His replacement won't call us back even though we have left him countless messages and emails. This is the worst customer service I have ever received.

Good product, HORRID customer service.

Pros: ease of use, easy to install

Cons: Customer service is HORRID!

Overall: I've had this product for just over 2 years now tracking 17 trucks. Overall, I like the software, the mobile app, the fuel integration, mileage tracking, and service notifications. We've had a few issues with the installed units, but the installation team (which is subcontracted out) is very prompt and responsive to getting the issues resolved. My account rep and sales team, however, are a different matter altogether.

First off, most of the time I call customer service, I will inevitably be transferred at LEAST 2 times to a different department, and will have to explain the issue in full each and every time. I had a billing dispute (where they charged me for an add-on e-log that was never received nor installed in my trucks) and they refused to issue me a credit or even really address the issue. Their entire attitude is basically "well, we shipped them out (to the wrong address) and it's not our fault you didn't install them". I've spoken with my account rep, his boss, and even the Customer service manager. Not only will they NOT respond to calls or messages (they never answer the phone), but emails go unanswered as well. I'm currently fighting them to buy out my contract so I can find a company that will actually provide service to their customers. Do your homework folks... Good product, TERRIBLE customer service!

Comments: Research other vendors - We have been told ERoad is great. Don't waste your time with this company. We are actively looking for a new provider.

Pros: We love the live map feature and many of the reports - so long as everything is working properly in the system.

Cons: Customer Service is absolutely horrible. We have been with Fleetmatics for close to 4 years now. Often times, I have the solutions to the issues long before anyone at Fleetmatics does since I have been working with the product much longer than the majority of customer service. I feel like I should be on their payroll. Currently, they are refusing to reactivate a unit in our system even though THEY are the ones who made an error and swapped the unit with a different unit on their end. We have not been able to "see" this truck on our map in well over a month. We have experienced a complete lack of service, our account rep only addresses what she wants to, my emails regarding trouble tickets go answered for several days, weeks, and lately we've even had a few cases that have been opened for months. As far as calling in for help, don't waste your time. I've sat on hold for well over an hour and refuse to call them now. It's sad that this company has zero loyalty to their clients that have stuck by their side as they've grown through the past few years. As of this morning, it has taken our Safety Department an hour or better just to get the live map to come up on our computers however, every single other program we utilize is working just fine.

Run away! Use someone else, anyone else!

Comments: We liked Fleetmatics well enough but Verizon is beyond horrible. We are currently looking at how to get out of the contract we had as the service we pay for is not being provided even remotely. Find someone else, anyone else.... the Big Corporate Attitude is alive and well with Verizon and they just don't seem to care about the customer.

Pros: GPS units are really good for machines that may sit in 1 position but are not truly 'idle' as the engine is engaged; fairly easy to navigate the dashboard

Cons: It doesn't work! The system is glitchy and all customer service does it ping the unit and say "there are intermittent glitches that should be expected". Despite telling them a list of units have been faulty for some time, they just tell us everything is fine and we just need to deal with it. Which brings us to the next problem - customer service is HORRIBLE. They are impossible to get a hold of, don't answer questions and just flat out deny anything is wrong. We even tried our new sales rep and he refuses to respond to any emails despite numerous attempts over the last month to correct issues. Managers are no better - they really do not seem to care.

Comments: I have been back and forth with them since last October. they have changed names , and im sure its for reasons like mine.

Pros: nothing. not one thing. I have asked for one reason to stay, give me anything. I don't want to go through looking for another company. just give me more trackers. but they want to downsize instead. good customer service.....not.

Cons: worse company service ever. asked to get more trackers. the company rep suggested that I start down sizing and cancelling trackers. I of course agreed , she said she would start taking them off as they were out of contract... great until the last four came out of contract , then refused to honor what the rep suggested. they have called me a liar, threatened to report me to a credit agency, when they continue to steal my money every month. taking from my checking account. all of a sudden they need 60days written notice, but didn't need anything in writing when they took the first 4 off. they are con artiest and thieves

Pros: We've been using Fleetmatics, now Verizon Reveal, for years. We initially signed up with them because we wanted to keep track of what employees were doing in our company vehicles, but this software is capable of so much more. From tracking our oil changes to sending us alerts when employees are speeding, we use this every day. The customer service is amazing also, and there's a pretty nice referral program.

Cons: It recently went through a revamp, and we did a training for the new system about a year before it was actually released. It was a little bit of a messy transition, but once we downloaded the new apps to our phones and got over the hump of getting everyone back on the same page, it's been amazing. The upgraded graphical user interface and new features are great.

Overall: We love this software, and we have cut down on employees unapproved use of company vehicles and improved employee driving safety by using it.

Pros: We can track where the company vehicles are.

Cons: Their incompetent IT department that hasn't the first clue on how to fix issues that arise.

Overall: All's this program is good for is seeing where your vehicles are. Do not purchase this program if you would like to take advantage of it's reporting and vehicle assignment function. We have had two other issues with the reporting functions in the past 8 months and are now on our third. We were using vehicle assignment function to produce the daily time card reports to distribute to supervisors for time card review and approval until the clock time assignment stopped working. We are now going on five weeks and their incompetent IT department still has yet to fix it!!! I have spoke to three of their IT representatives, between my co-worker and I we have spent probably close to three hours each explaining and reviewing this current issue at hand. I just keep getting bi-weekly calls to let me know they still have yet to fix it and are still trying to create a "patch" or correct this issue and the problem is still in "development". We pay $2,000.00 a month to have this program work, this is just down right ridiculous and very frustrating!!!!

Recommendations to other buyers: Yes, do further research before you consider this program, their customer service is terrible and their IT department is incompletant!!

Pros: Location tracking for assets as valuable as vehicles and trailers is essential for businesses our size, and has proven helpful almost immediately in tracking vehicle history and managing logistics in day to day tasks.

The driving habits they track as well are very informative and beautifully compiled with this software.

Cons: Customer Service has always been spotty and seems to still have issues after being bought by Verizon. Hopefully, these are just complications due to the transition in ownership.he

The Driver ID functionality is not as secure as it sounds, and the driver ID keyfobs are a hassle for companies with many drivers and constant new hires.

Tracking with trailers could also be improved, the struggle I understand as a trailer doesn't have a battery to connect to when not being towed... but we have trailers that are still reporting after 3 years or more and some that have stopped or needed repairs after only a few months. The companies that install the tracking units is outsourced, so this could be why we have noticed so many discrepancies between regions, which also adds unnecessary complications when scheduling installs/repairs.

Pros: The app sells some great features and promises a lot, if it worked as they said it would be really great app. They also have a real person to talk to as your account rep which is good.

Cons: the app fails in most areas to deliver. its buggy, we had to reinstall multiple times. the user interface is not intuitive and you have to wade through multiple layers to perform simple tasks that should be a point and click. We figured out very quickly that is was not going to work when we lost multiple customer invoices and billing. The customer service solution was not how do we recover this but they pointed us to a never end of more training. We thought we canceled the service due to the daily issues and lost revenue. then after 3 months of thinking it was cancelled we get a bill. when i called to say we had cancelled thats when we learned they did not cancel and further refused to cancel. they instead tried to push us to reinstall and do more training and use the app again. the one thing they were unwilling to do is cancel and/or stop billing despite the lack of delivery on their products functionality. this is a SCAM in every way. To think Verizon is strong arm robbing people with this poor functioning, poor excuse of a product in really frightening. my company did have our cell phone service with Verizon until this issue... we are now using T-Mobil. once we switched we found that not only did Verizon rob us with this app... they had been robbing us with the rates of our wireless plans...

Comments: We have been completely satisfied with the performance and functionality of Verizon REVEAL.

Pros: The stability has been flawless and the ease of use has made Verizon REVEAL a "go-to" for everything from quick reference location checks to detailed driver safety and vehicle performance monitoring. The fuel card integration has enabled us to monitor fuel purchases to ensure everyone continues to abide by our fleet fuel guidelines. The driving behavior reporting has dramatically improved our fleet's driving.

Cons: We really don't have many objections to the software. Possibly the developers could provide a screen saver function to protect large TV's like we use to display content from the application.

Comments: Verizon REVEAL has billed me EVERY MONTH for over a year and a half and has YET TO PROVIDE ME WITH A CONSTANT WORKING SOFTWARE! They will continually tell you they are working on it, or someone will contact you, but you will be operating without Verizon REVEAL working...so in essence...your paying for nothing! And beware of the 3 yr contract...that is to lower you in and stick you with a 3 yr bill....it doesn't matter if they provide you with the service your paying for!!!! OH NO!!!...they just keep stringing you along and you get nothing....I stopped paying them for something I wasn't getting....they of course are hitting my credit and trying to collect..and you know what!!!!? I'd rather have the bad credit rating and bad mouth Verizon REVEAL every chance I get for the rest of my, then to continue to pay them money for something I am not receiving!! BE WARE!!!!!

Pros: NONE...there is non...be smarter then I was and look for all the bad reviews they've had...

Pros: We utilize this software for GPS tracking on our company vehicles. Since our employees are all over the place, it is crucial that we are able to see where they were and how long they were there. It helps with time clocks as well as ensuring productivity.

Lots of different report options. You can learn a lot about your fleet's daily activities with this product.

Cons: Editing geofence areas can sometimes be finnicky. Also, the search function can be finnicky as well. You can't just type in one word of the entire name of the place, it has to be the exact words in the correct order or it won't find it.

I do not like the way it is set up. Loosely conforms to ELD Mandate. Too much for so little

Pros: easy to learn; App is clear to see, set up is decent.

Cons: Requires blue-tooth to connect to equipment. Turn it off and alerts you to connect even when drivers are not driving.

Cannot save trailer fleet - drivers type in every day

Driver cannot add to a previous day or Off Duty log (limited on what they can do)

Admins have more authority changing/editing the logs than drivers do

Drivers have to "sign & certify" an incorrect log before an Admin can correct it

Webex training is limited and Hosts do not know the trucking industry

App tells a driver s/he has 13 days to sign/certify a log... What?

Inspection form has only 10 items on it.

Cannot select a vehicle and complete a previous day's inspection if the vehicle is not within range

Drivers have to type in detailed mechanical issues when found before page will close

Out of Service items reported will not "red tag" the power unit in the app

Does not allow tracking or reports for of CDL/MEC expirations

On Duty sub-status has only 4 (Fueling, Inspection / Loading / Unloading) . Drivers are On Duty for other reasons (Waiting to un/load; Accident; Warehouse; Training; Office; Breakdown)

Bare bones product not worth the huge amount of money for just the GPS and ELD features. I do not recommend it.

Pros: It was good before was acquired by Verizon and it was working 99-100%, never down, I like to be able to see 24 hours all my vehicles, idling time, locations.... But lately system is more down then working

Cons: last couple month doesn't work, system is down every weekend, I think they try to save on date, customer service don't work on weekend, over week you can only leave voicemail. I have e-mailed them with problems for my GPS trucking and took them 45 days to respond and ask what is wrong.

Pros: Tracking is pretty good and fairly accurate, easy to use once set-up. Reporting is ok too and comprehensive

Cons: The sales team, they will rope you into a 3 year contract promising you the world, then they "allow" anyone in your company to add devices, each of them run on a separate contract, which then needs to bought-out.

My problem is that they allow "anybody" to add devices which holds the owner responsible for the cost and buy-outs.

I would not recommended for this reason, and caution everybody entering into agreements with them to limit the user

Overall: Vehicle tracking, idle times and vehicle usage

Cons: They force renewals on you with some fine print. Will not call you back, will not shut these things off, their A/R department will call to harass, but you can't get anyone else. I told them I would pay if they came today to shut them off, they refused!

Comments: The software lost our data on our routes, we requested help ,did not get any. This company is the worst company we have ever dealt with. We called customer support ,which is in California, three hours behind us, it took at least a day to get a reply, then the man with the answers is located in Italy which takes days for an answer . If a company has a problem with there routes, you can not wait days. This company has a lot of problems. We requested all our money back, we paid a year in advance, guest what, they have not replied. It has been 3 months

Pros: There are none. They take your money and customer support is non existent. They want all the money going there way and have not given us a refund

Cons: No customer support, once they get your money the customer support is non existent. We would install our routes on there maps, we would loose a complete route ,then that would take 6 hour to reinstall. this software is not good and customer support is just not there.

Once you get the hang of how the softwate works, it's pretty easy to use and gives me the ability to offer reliable ETA's to my customers, while giving me piece of mind knowing where our fleet is at all times.

Comments: Sales person told me that I had two options for equipment. The first was a plug N play device with only a few features. The second was a hard wired devise with more functionality. I opted for the hard wired device. Installed them in my trucks and began to load data in the interface. Report, alert, and maintenance options were missing. I called my service rep and he says that doesn't sound right and he will get it fixed but his computer is broke. Never heard back. Called the original sales person and she says that it doesn't sound right and she will get it taken care of. Never heard back. Two weeks go by and I get a call from a new customer care agent and explain the situation to him. He says that doesn't sound right and he will look into it. He comes back and says that I signed a contract for Reveal Now platform and its their low end product. I said no I was quoted the upper end product and I have the hard wired equipment. This was a total bait and switch. And they were willing to let me out of my contract if I would pay them the full balance. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Pros: user friendly, helps to identify where our drivers are. it's the first thing i open up on the computer every morning. also helps that it can be used from another location (home on the weekend). also many vital reports, from verifying time cards to service alerts. really helps rescue drivers when lost, especially with the new upgrades, where you can see satelite images of the area they are in. just yesterday we helped out agian with the use of this tool.

Cons: hate that is a 4 year committment, but don't know what i'd do without it. that's the thing about a product/service it sells itself and shouldn't need to have a 4 year commit. my committment is coming up soon, now i have to decide whether to remain with Verizon REVEAL or shop around. i'm defenitely sold on the concept, performance and ease of use.

the one thing i really dislike is the property tax that the third party vendor attaches to these units. i don't know if it happens in any other state, but in the state of michigan equipment that is in a vehicle is not subject to property taxes. i know this as we used to run with radios in the vehicles to dispatch our drivers. this was never part of a property tax bill, even though those units ran around 1K each.

Overall: i love this product, the fact that it is consistantly upgraded and tweaked. i really never have taken advantage of any training because it is so easy to use, even a dummy like me can utilize it, and my other managers get the reports they need.

Pros: The interface is very functional. We now have 8 vehicles on GPS at all times, in our business many times you'll need to drop everything and find help. The GPS allows us to our closet tech in the area. The Geofences also allow us to see how often we visit our favorite vendors which has provided essential info on our decision to begin stocking inventory.

Cons: The alerts are pretty unclear when there is an incident. Our drivers tend to give a bit on push back on their weekly driving score. If there was a bit of definition behind "hard braking or "quick starts" I think that would go a long way.

This is a comprehensive program that helps manage drivers and increase productivity.

Pros: It is great at estimating routed delivery times, and keeping personnel accountable, as the manager can always track where they are. Easy to integrate with our invoice system, pulls orders straight through.

Cons: It can be a bit cumbersome and slow, especially when it has to re-optimize a route due to the addition of a stop.

Overall: It helps improve employee accountability. Very easy to use, and helps me manage throughout the day, adding or taking away stops and jobs is also a breeze.

Cons: Tracking equipment keeps on messing up. And the system does not inform you, you have to check each equipment individually to make sure they are all working properly. Im having to replace 5-10 trackers every week, and it takes me an average of 30 minutes of being on the line with them arguing over replacements. And don't even start me on the ELD's!! I'll save my fingers from all that typing thanks! Everything was just a big lie with this company.

Pros: We use the program to track our six trucks. It is simple to use and straight forward. The real time updates are helpful.

Cons: Occasionally the web pages don't update very quickly. I also found that it was not easy to tag locations that are used regularly. (ie employee homes and suppliers). It would be nice if you could set it up to flag whenever trucks were certain places, or when they were travelling at certain times.

Comments: A customer service person told me they have so many problems with this product that developed a new product. They actually started over and never said a word to their PAYING CUSTOMERS that they have a better product. Verizon I really expected something better from you. Not one thing about this product is good. It does not work correctly or consistently. One day it works and the next day it won't connect to the truck. I have 1 driver that is logged on duty Dec 12th, 2017 and on Feb 2, 2018, he is still showing violations day in and day out.

Cons: Just stay away from it. You won't be happy It will not work consistently. Customer service and tech help can't even help with issues.

Pros: The updating of the vehicles is frequent. The satellite imagining is pretty good. Works well with sending addresses to our technicians for calls.

Cons: Customer service has gone down hill. Especially since Verizon bought out Fleetmatics. I used to be able to get someone on the phone very quickly. Now it has literally taken me weeks to get someone on the phone. Have considered using other companies.

Pros: Live updates and vehicle tracking. It's the first program I turn on every day and I monitor it constantly. It's a very useful tool.

Cons: It's almost too fancy as I don't use a lot of its features. I also don't like the billing as it comes in now as Verizon and I also have their phone service. Last month I paid my phone bill with what I should've been paying the Verizon Connect. Now I have a credit on my phone and a late payment to Verizon Connect.

Overall: I found it easier to use than my old GPS system and the pricing had gone down since Verizon bought our Fleetmatics. I had started with Fleetmatics before GPS tracking was a big market but it became too costly as I had downgraded my fleet and had to still pay over a month with no active vehicle to assign the GPS to.

What a program and what a lifesaver.

Comments: I cannot attest to the software itself; however, I can tell you that if I could give zero stars I would. Let's be honest, customer service is just as vital to the consumer as the software itself.

My experience: I was lied to from the beginning by a sweet talking salesman. It seemed this software would be a good fit for the new business model we were implementing. I stated my reservations to the salesman as we were embarking on a new phase, and about our new model not ending up being a good fit with their software. His response, "no problem we'll do a trial run etc etc." Come to find out it wasn't and they went back on their word and kept auto-deducting the monthly fee. My company ( 8-10 million a year and I'm just the Director of Operations) was forced to stay in the contract when we tried to cancel as I was promised. The company (actually me personally as I vouched for them to the owner) had to pay some amount for a software that I was promised they would let me out of. Every time I would call in the beginning someone would say "we'll call you back," no calls. This went on for weeks and then surprise I was passed my cancellation date. Then someone called me back after that date passed!

I could go on and on; however, just beware if you proceed with this company, you might get good, or even great software, but in the end you will get terrible and frustrating professionalism. You have no one to blame but yourself because there are so many good software companies to choose from! By the way, this is a short version with many other documented examples left our for brevity reasons.

Pros: I like that I can replay each truck's route, I use that to verify timecards. We can look back to see if there was any time that wasn't work related. Very detailed reports of location and time at each location of each truck .

Cons: Nothing really, I don't have any issues with the software. I would love to have cameras in vehicles, we may add that later .

Overall: We save gas & payroll expense while using this software to track our vehicles. We are able to tell if vehicles are left idling which wastes gas.

Pros: Low level customer service is of no use but they answer with a cool accent. The guys you need to actually talk to never call you back, though.

Cons: At this point, inability to cancel. Beyond that, it was their inability to keep their promises. Behind that was the lack of access control.

Overall: When your peon employee steals all of your customer information and sells it to your competitor, maybe then you'll come to realize just how important keeping customer information confidential and compartmentalized is. After we signed up and Verizon REVEAL told us that we wouldn't get the promised levels of access, they told us that they never had that feature but could put in a 'request' for it. So everyone we give access to our account, even if only to input parts into inventory, would have the same access as our CEO. Then, even after they failed to meet every one of their own promised deadlines, they refused to stop billing us when we requested to cancel. I wish I had read their reviews beforehand.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you wouldn't mind having your customer details published online for your competitors to see and like waiting for months for basic customer service response, this software could work for you.

Pros: Nothing good about this company

Cons: Tech support stinks

Overall: These guys put on a great show by the salespeople when they are trying to get you to sign a contract but once you sign a contract forget it. Tech support is the worst tech support in the world. We were installing in our fleet of 25 truck and their GPS tracking did not work from the start. We installed it to basically track truck mileage for IFTA Fuel Tax purposes. We only managed to install in about five trucks before we realized that it did not work and how bad the tech support was so we stopped the install.

Their GPS system would show our trucks is other countries (showed one truck in Brazil on day. We are located in the United States). Another time that showed one vehicle driving over 100,000 miles in one day. Again we were paying IFTA taxes based on their GPS tracking.

Their final determination was that all of the ECM on our trucks were bad and they suggested we replace them at certain cost each for five trucks. They finally stopped returning phone calls and they locked us out of our online portal. Because we had problems from the start we were not paying the monthly fees and finally sent them a letter terminating our contract and told them to come get their equipment. Never heard back from them. There is something wrong with this company. Rumor is that they do not own the software and are at the mercy of another software vendor.

Pros: The live map function to view where your team is in real time is my favorite part of the GPS software.

Cons: The program itself is a bit harder to navigate in terms of looking for reports on certain situations. For example: to run a report for Speeding over the last week is an easy button to get your report, but to find the speeding for one vehicle over the course of a few weeks is a much harder task to accomplish.

Overall: REVEAL has allowed us to cut costs with "emergency service orders" by giving us information on the location of employees in the field. With this feature, we are able to find the closest worker to the homeowner, and then send them to fix the problem. This solution is much quicker than calling each of them individually and trying to pinpoint where they are in reference to the homeowner.

Comments: We have been using for Verizon REVEAL for a year. It has converted us from running our business and specifically dispatching like bats. Now we can provide accurate ETAs, see if our mechanics made wrong turns and see that the time they state that they are at a location is what reality is.

Pros: It strips away the veil of our mechanics in the field guesstimating how far they are from their destination, how long they feel they have been at their destination/job site and if they are taking side trips on the company clock. We can manage the preventative maintenance of our fleet and see how many miles each vehicle has traveled.

Cons: It does cost nearly monthly, but the value you get added for your customers and dispatch to manage instead of run their function in the business.

Pros: Nothing - We are locked into a contract and still have 2 more years to fight with them. Buyer beware.

Cons: Their installers put in 1 year ago. Supposedly they could service anywhere the unit was. NOT. The units have been replaced repeatedly and work for a few days and break again.

Overall: Venting and letting the next consumer to run from this product

Pros: Doesn't seem to have any glitches - always tracking everyone correctly. Was fairly easy to implement...Verizon made it easy to order and schedule installation. That's always a plus.

Cons: The price. As a smaller business we don't use it that many times a day...only when we can't get in touch with a technician or need to verify where one was. So it's a bit pricey just for that.

Overall: We can verify work orders and payroll easily - so quality control.

Pros: It is very easy to use. We had another program prior to Verizon Reveal and we had a lot of issues with units not working. Verizon Reveal, so far, we have not had any issues with unit not transmitting. The dashboard is very user friendly.

Cons: So far we have no cons. We have been using it for almost 1 year and haven't had any problems with the software.

Overall: We can track our drivers and job sites they are on in real time.

Pros: It works good to track but they lock you into there contract. So make sure you set a reminder to when you need to send a letter.

Cons: Try and cancel and good luck, they use strong arm attempts to keep you. Found a better solution for my company. Spoke to them about this, when we went to cancel they told us we were auto renewed. This was never metntioned to use during prior conversations. And the offered a buy of over a year.

Would cancel today if we could get out of contract!

Pros: Real-time tracking (when it works), "replay" function

Cons: Faulty hardware (20+ problems in 7-vehicle fleet in past 4 months; 6 units replaced); unresponsive & unreliable "Customer Experience"

Overall: We have had nothing but problems since Day One with the product and the company. From a customer service standpoint, the "Customer Experience" folks tend to be very unresponsive (e.g., not returning phone calls, etc.) with horrible follow-through. We are in an geographic area where cell phone coverage is not great, so it's been frustrating when you require real-time tracking of where your crews are located. Lastly, we have a small fleet of seven vehicles and in the past few months we have had at least 20 instances of the tracking unit hardware not operating. We had five of our seven vehicles not registering a month and a half ago, now two of those same vehicles have to have their units replaced again. IMO, the only reason to buy this service is for the real-time tracking, but since the hardware is clearly prone to failure, my suggestion to anyone is to purchase satellite-based GPS tracking units for your vehicles.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you want real-time tracking, purchase true satellite-based GPS units for your fleet.

Pros: The software is fairly easy to use, there is a bit of a learning curve but all of our drivers have been able to make the transition over to ELDs fairly easily.

Cons: Sometimes a driver may forget to log off correctly and might get stuck in driving mode, this can really screw up the log as you can not really edit driving time.

Overall: We were able to implement this into our system to comply with federal regulations.

Pros: Risk of theft by hirer erradicated.

Ability to monitor vehicle location with a view to return times. Customers who are awaiting a vehicle can be kept informed of how long their wait will be.

Accurate vehicle usage billing easily obtained by various report methods.

Fuel usage discrepancies easily resolved by route replay.

Easy vehicle location identification in the event of breakdown.

Fleet maintenance simplified.

Prevention of unauthorised overseas travel.

Easy recovery of vehicles from overdue customers.

Cons: There is no down side to having the Verizon REVEAL system on your fleet. Yes as in life everything costs but we have saved probably in excess of ¿¿20,000 already in theft prevention alone. With the added facilities for monitoring time at idle and service requirements this saving is sure to rise.

Overall: I would strongly recommend Verizon REVEAL to any company whether running single or multiple vehicles. An easy to use yet extremely intelligent system, Verizon REVEAL will instantly give you peace of mind and will over time save you money.

Pros: We looked into several companies for a GPS tracking system, but found from the start that Verizon REVEAL has the most affordable, user friendly system out there. The demo they provided orginally really got our attention. We have saved tens of thousands of dollars in using this system for coordination of scheduling and in payroll. We also saved hundreds of thousands of dollars when our truck was stolen along with all of the equipment in it. With our live fleet tracker, we relayed to the police exactly where the truck was going and they were able to stop and arrest the thief. We love the system, their customer service and would never even consider changing.

Cons: We have not found anything wrong with this system.

We are also able to relay real time information to customers inquiring about the location of their next bus. It has also been invaluable as a tool for locating and allocating vehicles for last minute charter changes and bookings.

The replay function allows us to monitor drivers' hours which assists us to comply with NHVR driving hours regulations.
