Pros

I love that this software provides the tools to effectively run a small business, but helps you look professional in the process. It's super awesome and works for a number of genres.

Cons

I didn't like that it wasnt as specialized for photographers as I needed. A few additional features would have been awesome, but overall I recommend the product all the time.

### "17hats to wear - 1 app to use"

17hats is a one stop shop type of app. It is perfect for the Solo Entrepreneur. The feature I most enjoyed was the contract/invoice system. As a graphic designer, I could send a service agreement style contract to a client to have him or her first sign that they agree to the terms set forth in the agreement. Immediately upon submitting the e-signature, the client receives the attached invoice which can be set up for full or installment payments. This takes away the need for paper documents and tracking. All of this is set up with one system.

Pros

I like that there are multiple tools built into one app. I used several before switching to 17hats. I found it easy to use. I was up and running very quickly. It integrates will with payment systems. Most importantly the clients I used it with did not seem to have trouble paying invoices through the app. Finally the electronic contracting invoicing and signature system cuts back on a lot of paperwork and no additional service is needed to use these features.

Cons

Pricing - I am a small company just starting out. I opted to stop using 17hats because there were not enough of options with the payment plan. While I did find a cheaper option I wish I still had access to the great features 17hats has to offer.

We love that you can send surveys to clients using this program, that is the best part so far!

Pros

It seems clean and easy to understand so far. My client isn't using a ton of it's functionality at this point but we plan on finding more uses for her soon because I can tell there are lots of features she isn't using that could benefit her.

Cons

Nothing so far! I don't think we have used it enough to really have had anything go wrong at all and definitely haven't had any issues since I have worked for this client.

I have been using 17hats for over a year now and I absolutely love it. I had bounced from program to program to manage my companies daily needs in accounting and project management but when I found 17hats I abandoned them all for 1 program. I have the ability to manage mu customers, automate invoices, keep track on my book keeping, set up work flows with auto triggers, manage my calendar, lead management, and more! If you have a small business then I would strongly recommend you checking them out!

Pros

Having all the tools I need in 1 spot to manage the daily business needs.

Cons

Needs a more robust phone app covering all the areas the website covers.

Pros

I enjoy the layout of 17 Hats. It's very simple and makes it almost impossible to mess something up. There are plenty of invoicing and contracting options (something like 17 options).

Cons

Before deciding to not go with this platform as our invoicing software, my business partner and I decided this software did not offer enough functionality to do all the things we needed. Even with \*\*17\*\* features, 17 hats fell short in too many areas in order for us to pull the trigger.

E-signature capabilities.

Pros

Great features, such as e-signatures capabilities and lead capture. Chat support is also usually available and pretty helpful. Workflows are also a nice addition if properly set up.

Cons

Can be cumbersome to use, more of a learning curve than with other software, and the bookkeeping wasn't sufficient as a true bookkeeping system at the time I used it. I also didn't like the feature request system, which was based on a certain number of votes you were allotted.

I never used it. I purchased for my business because of a recommendation and didn't do research on why I needed it. Now, it is past the refund window and I can't get a refund. So, please make sure you are really needing the program before you invest in it. I am out almost 400.00 for something I don't need and likely will never use. Really hurts the pocket book. Hopefully, people can learn from my pricey mistake.p

Pricing was ok if you buy extended 3 year.

Cons

Honestly, I just started my Virtual Services business and was told this was a necessity. Unfortunately, my business has been slow and I haven't even used the service. I really had no idea what it was for and blindly purchased it based on a fellow virtual service provider recommendation. So, I can't give an opinion about the software other than it was overwhelming to start using.

Pros

I love how 17 hats will keep everything in one place. From emails to invoices - everthing can be stores within 17hats.

Cons

I felt limited in what all I could do with 17hats. While you have the ability to send emails and invoices I remember it missing the mark a bit in terms of customization and legitimacy for price.

Set up has not been easy and I'm pretty organized. The e-mail tracker shows e-mails that I've read as unread and it's not easy to clear them. Automatic workflows are hard to set up and templates are not free.

Pros

This keeps my clients up to date by sending the automated e-mails I set up. Finances are clear and reports are easy. Client portal, though not customizable, is helpful.

Cons

Phone app is limited, set up is tedious, calendar hasn't worked well with multiple google accounts, the dashboard is not customizable.

It's a great way to keep information about my web design clients in one place.

Pros

I really like using this software to manage my web design clients. I can create client profiles and store website data and requests under their file names. If I haven't worked with a client in months and all of a sudden they need changes made to their website, I don't have to hunt for their login password or web design info. I just go into 17hats, pull up their name and all the information I need is right there.

Cons

If you're new to the 17hats, customizing the lead generation forms can be a bit confusing. I had to refer to YouTube in order to create my forms. After you do it once though, you're good to go.

Pros

17Hats was the first studio management software I used, and it definitely helped me get a good idea of how I should be running my backend. It streamlined a lot of processes that I would usually get bogged down with.

Cons

I would often find that it just didn't like the country I was from, I couldn't accept payments through the gateways they had available, the interface could often be buggy and the accompanying app was a chore.

Pros

Overall, there are quite a number of features, making the value good. Bookkeeping in particular is one aspect that works fairly well.

Cons

With so many things you could potentially do in 17hats, I am often amazed at how un-intuitive it all is. For instance, I constantly go to the email section of a client file to try to send a contract before realizing that I can't do it from there, even though what I'd like to do is send an already drafted contract over email. Instead, I have to go to the contract and click "send contract" to set up that email. It's an extra step (or two) that seems completely unnecessary. 17hats is riddled with those types of things.

I am a photographer. I did not want to spend so much time on business functions that I would not be able to do what I love - taking photos. 17 hats was a good solution for me. I have been able to manage my photography jobs and client interactions much more efficiently. I would recommend it to anyone who owns a business.
