I love that you can have one account and several businesses and keep the accounting separate. You can switch companies with a click of a button Pros The ease of use and the customer service. The learning curve was very easy to use, and if you have any issues, you can talk with real people in customer support online, and they answer within minutes. Cons The feature of not being able to text a client if they requested information, but that has since been added. It is easy to use and set up and keeps everything in one spot - billing, invoicing, client communication, workflowsm, and more. It helps keeps me organized and on task. Cons Once my business got a bit more complicated with products in addition to one-on-one services, I "outgrew" 17hats as some basic features inside bookkeeping and contracts didn't exist. Highly recommend 17hats! I have used it for years and now I happily have a lifetime membership! Pros I love that 17hats grows with me. When I first started out and had little income, I just used some of the basic services (like contact management & email templates). But now that I've grown and have processes for my work, I'm able to streamline and automate everything so that I'm not recreating the wheel for all the work I do. From handling wedding enquiries to sending automated emails in the lead-up to the big day, it ensures every client receives a seamless, consistent experience. I also use it for my studio mini sessions, and it’s made managing them incredibly easy. I can’t imagine running my business without it now! Pros The seamless integration of quotes, contracts, invoices, and automated workflows has completely transformed how I run my business. It saves me so much time, eliminates back-and-forth emails, and gives my clients a smooth, professional experience. I also love the automation features—they ensure everything runs in the background while I focus on what I love most: photography. Cons The only thing I can think of is that I’m UK-based and 17hats is a US company. That said, their response times have always been quick, and it’s never actually impacted anything—it’s just the only minor drawback I can think of! Then the next year my membership went up to $300 which was expected because i got a discount to sign up initially so that was fine. Then they tried to charge my credit card $600 for the next year. Literally out of no where with no upgrades. I emailed them about this since there was no customer service number and the guy i spoke with was rude and did not offer any solutions besides a black friday deal theyll have months away. So now i need to redo my whole platform. This company is a scam, stay away!!! Pros The initial signup - Client Booking and Calendar Cons They Scammed me. They initially said it was $150 to sign up for the year. Then they raised it to $300 the next year. Then SIX HUNDRED the next year. They didnt improve anything for this insane raise. Lots of good features for the price. Pros A lot of features for a very affordable price. If you're a service provider who offers package services, the lead-to-quote-to-invoice-to-project workflows with everything you and a small team needs, all in 1 place, is invaluable. Cons The design isn't the prettiest. The calendar view never worked quite the way I wanted it to. The scheduling features weren't super robust (I still used Calendly alongside this). There's little to nothing on reporting or analytics. Pros 17hats allows me to have all my business administrative tasks and all records and documents related to each client in one place. The best part is that most of the tasks are automated, eliminating the need to hire an assistant for those tasks. The same way as you would train your assistant for the job you would spend some time to set up your systems the way you want them to work for you. There are many resources available to learn how to do it, including the live trainings where you can workshop your setup with a very knowledgeable team member, and the new Marketplace makes it even easier - you can download the set up you want and save time on setting things up yourself. Integration with my calendars and Zoom makes setting up meetings a breath - I don't have to double check for time conflicts or go back and forth with the Zoom links. It all happens automatically. Running my business from 17hats daily frees my time to have life and run my business, I don't have to choose one over the other. The customer support is spectacular. All my questions answered and issues resolved in a timely manner and in a supportive and respectful way. Cons Nothing I can think of.
