Also, I would love to be the verified user/buyer tags which really add weight to the review. The mail after the purchase has worked really well in generating large numbers of reviews also and is probably my favorite feature. Cons Pricing is quite high and some of the integrations to other 3rd party software should come in the lower price tiers. There are a lot on a small business owner's plate and Yotpo takes care of a major one, letting your customer know that you are willing to listen and take their feedback on board. Pros Yotpo is diligent and a perfect app for collecting reviews. My automation's game hasn't be to the point, but life if easier with Yotpo. They collect the reviews after x amount of days after the order rolls in. You do not have to monitor it and can also set the number of days the review request is sent. Cons There are few parts which are not customizable for the Yotpo integration with Shopify store. However, I wouldn't sweat over them. Review Source KF Kay F. It's so difficult to use and understand, I don't use most of the features. It takes so long to navigate around anything and nothing is explained. Manager Retail Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Good but not great" March 5, 2019 3.0 Overall, my experience with Yotpo has been good. My only real issue is the impact on our page speed. Other than that, the software is very easy to use and adds legitimacy to our website. It's easy to send out automatic review requests and post customer photos, etc. Pros Yotpo is an easy integration and adds legitimacy to our ecommerce website. There's plenty of different widget options, the look and feel is clean and contemporary. Customer service is pretty good. Everything is easy to use. Cons Slows down our website... A LOT. Our google page speed score is incredibly low because of the yotpo widgets. The images on the site are hosted by Yotpo via Instragram so we have no control over the image sizes. We contacted Yotpo customer support and they did help us optimize a bit but in the end we had to take off the yotpo widget and recreate it ourselves so we could have control over the image sizes. It functions easily on its own once it has been set up and maintenance is not too complicated. Their customer service team is also great! They answer all our questions very quickly! Pros Easy to use! It basically runs itself once you get started! Cons Sometimes the different tiers and offers can be confusing; not sure where YOTPO reviews ends and YOTPO rewards begins and vice versa. I'm very satisfied with the results. Pros I use Yotpo for reviews on my Shopify website. It is an awesome tool. I am able to send customers automated emails asking them to review the products and experience shopping on the site. It's a way to get quality reviews without putting in too much time and effort. But Yotpo is much more than just a review platform because we are using it as part of our post purchase customer experience with triggered email sent to our customers a couple weeks after they have placed their order. This email is a great opportunity to keep the line of communication with the customer open and with the discount code integrations with Shopify we are able to send out incentives for reviews which not only encourages more reviews on our site, but it also encourages repeat purchase activity from these customers. This helps us build a higher average LTV because customers are incentivized to shop, review, and repeat. Yotpo has also been great for scaling our business. We started with a very basic package that was easy to integrate into our Shopify site(up and running in a day), but we have upgraded along the way and are now using a more robust offering that allows us to send dynamic coupon codes(to eliminate the chance of code abuse), add fit details to the review pages, and make the reviews searchable in google listings. These features and functionality allow us to look and function the review section of our site at a level that is comparable to much larger competitors and ecommerce companies. President Retail Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Disappointing to say the least" September 14, 2017 3.0 The CEO admitted they had been focused elsewhere and not on customer success (which is what they proclaimed as their value driver in the sales process). He was brave and opened himself up for all sorts of comments in a New Years blog in 2017. It's worth checking out if you haven't read it yet. I wish them well - lots of excellent people at this company and I hope they and their customers are enabled for success going forward. We still feel ripped off though so buyer beware. Check them out and make a conservative decision is what we'd do if we had it to do again. No references = no deal! Pros Good ideas about user generated content. Partnership webinar was excellent by YOTPO rep - got us really excited about using it. Having an assigned account manager to 'ensure' you are successful. Cons We paid for the first year and got zero in return. We were able to get a refund, but after that YOTPO wouldn't budge. We knew the investment was costly and risky, but everyone there assured us we would see huge increases in sales. How about any? - I would now say. I think they have dropped their pricing. May 15, 2018 4.0 Its extremely in-depth review and marketing tools make it very desirable. but its constant paywals make it frusgtrating and expensive. Pros I loved Yotpo for is ease of integration with Bigcommerce, import of outside reviews and the really unique and interesting features. Cons Most of their best features are now paywalled behind a subscription wall, the free version is definitely not as good as it used to be, I deal with bigcommerce and shopify a lot and the built-in and other 3rd party review software is better and more affordable now than YotPo. I used be able to sell an integration package for bigcommerce/yotpo, but now merchants have lost interest due to the expensive monthly cost. Review Source AG Alex G. December 4, 2018 5.0 The customer support and on-boarding experience has been very good. Pros From a features standpoint, yotpo stood out from the other options we looked at. In practice, it seems that the service lives up to it's claims and we've only just scratched the service on all the things they offer. Customer support has been prompt and accommodating and there have been no hidden fees or unexpected charges for "custom work", etc. Setup is well documented and flexible enough for developers to sink their teeth in. Integration with other services is good. Cons Product feeds and updates. The way Yotpo handles new products vs product updates via two seperate uploads is strange. In my mind, it would all be handled by the same upload. Why not adopt a standard feed system like what google and FB use? Transferring our existing reviews was mostly smooth, but there were a couple hiccups for grouping child product reviews under a parent. Also, our SKUs included a '-' character which had to be replaced with another character as this was not allowed by yotpo's system. A strange requirement. We have devs in-house to tackle these little hurdles, but if you don't have anyone technical on hand YMMV. Review Source Jordan L. They get a quick email X days after their order and can choose a star amount from within the email. I have a medium sized website and have hundreds of reviews because of Yotpo. It also allows customers to say that they have not received their order yet -- great for spotting shipping issues.
