Pros: The task pane is my very favourite feature of salesforce. It's like having a personal assistant. I'm able to see the list of tasks I have to do for any particular day, a long with times and days. I use the task feature to help me organize all my meetings so that I never miss them! The organization of the dashboard makes using this tool so simple. I'm able to get statistics of all my business opportunities and total leads.

Cons: The layout of the application is a bit out dated.
It would be helpful to have the task pane organized as a checklist that automatically removes tasks that have been checked because it can become very tedious to manage tasks that have been done if you don't remove them instantly. The clean up of tasks can be a hassle.

Pros: Salesforce enables quick customization for most business processes and for different industries. Its cloud based software so it enables real-time access to the data and increases the business efficiency minimizing response time.

Cons: It is often difficult to contact technical support of Salesforce in case of some questions. Sometimes it can take days to contact a responsible person. It is sometimes really difficult to generate reports when using Salesforce

Overall: it is very important to have advanced knowledge of how you are going to use it. Salesforce functionality can improve overall performance of business, increase revenue and make life of Sales reps much easier.

Valuable for certain parts of the business like Knowing your customer, providing analytical inputs

Pros: Easy click and shoot capabilities for reporting. Able to drag and drop fields into reports from their objects.

Cons: Sometimes freezes up when a report is in an incorrect format instead of throwing error messages. Times out too quickly from inactivity.

Overall: A new skill in today's growing market

Pros: This CRM is a good example of how a quality service should be built. Working in the system, we get real pleasure, as everything works here quickly, clearly and without failures.

Cons: Of the shortcomings, I can only name the cost of an annual subscription to the service. Having worked with the system for more than one year, we have been thinking about reducing the costs of servicing the business and considering options for other cheaper CRMs.

Pros: Not profit pricing was one of the deciding factors in getting Salesforce, but it's made a huge difference in how we manage our contacts and track projects - previously as a smaller organisatonwe used a bespoke Access database that was creaking. Good intergration with Mailchimp

Cons: We've had to invest a lot of effort and external developer time to set up the system so that it meets our needs and integrates with our website, shop etc.

Overall: Its now a key part of our business. Good to know our customer data is held securely

Pros: I found the company to be very user-friendly while visiting the site. Also, as a Kelley student, I find that the company is very useful to me for getting connections, experience, etc.

Cons: What I like least about this software is the sign up you have to go through in order to begin the use of their online website.

Overall: It helped me out with a school project for my business class.

Customer service is outstanding, paired with the great products that Salesforce provides! Wonderful!

Pros: I like how easy it is to use, the functionality of their products are outstanding, and Salesforce customer service department absolutely wonderful. Whatever help you need, they will provide gladly.

Cons: There product takes some getting used to. It can be kind of hard to figure out by yourself. Also directions can be confusing.

Pros: Salesforce has excellent service, and it is a complex CRM with lots of features and extensions. They have recently revamped the UI, and are continually adding things that help sales teams.

Cons: The UI can be a little confusing. In addition, there can sometimes be a few seconds of latency when going from page to page. Sorting and adding fields is not always as intuitive as you'd like it to be.

Overall: It helped manage customers in a complex business

Pros: Practice has shown that SalesForce is not the best application for small businesses for two reasons. Firstly, an annual subscription is expensive. Secondly, for small businesses the system is redundant, that is, not all available functions are used.

Cons: The price of the application is high, if you are a few days after you paid the subscription, you want to refuse using the service, no one will return the money to you.

Pros: It is convenient that the system has detailed settings. For example, you can add detailed information about each record, share data with colleagues and partners, and prepare analytical work reports.

After all, even if your customers have a single, main point of contact, there's a good chance that at some point that contact may not be available, and the client will be forced to have to work with someone new.

Overall: The relationships that you cultivate with your customer-base will determine your company's level of success. And, as with any important relationship, its level of success will depend heavily upon how well you know one another. But unlike most personal relationships, the company-customer relationship is one that may feel a bit lopsided

Pros: I like the software because it helps me with my client relationship mangement. When targeting hundreds of prospects I like the fact that I can utilize salesforce as one application to store information on prospects and allow me to convert them to clients quicker.

Cons: Sometimes it takes a minute to save the data. And it could be a hit frasutrating to have to wait to move on to the next client.

Pros: Does a good job of offering features but gets expensive for full feature support since it is a tiered service. Very much the standard for back-end support for many businesses. Does a great job of database management and has tremendous numbers of features.

Pros: If there is a specific workflow you'd like to follow, more then likely, this will facilitate it. Granular access allows you to make sure the right people see the right information. Trailhead training is hands on and really helps build out your knowledge

Pros: Salesforce is ubiquitous and can be used across our multiple teams within our organization. The plugins and ability to work with multiple other platforms is a huge benefit in that we use Salesforce as a central hub for tracking, communicating, and supporting our clients.

Cons: The software is clunky and not intuitive. We have to spend a day training new employees on how to use and navigate the Salesforce ecosystem. When we hit a roadblock their support system is also cumbersome, the first line support is typically over their head with technical requests (which happens to be 90% of our issues). And the software is expensive, we are not a large company and having to spend 6 figures a year for a CRM solution hurts the bottom line.

Overall: Tracking client's issues and being able to have a record of those interactions is extremely beneficial to us. Also having plugins & integrations with Atlassian products and Gainsight is a huge help to us.

Pros: It can really do everything that you need it to, things like a rolodex of your customers, history of what was sent to your customers, customer satisfaction surveys, NPS, CSAT etc. Salesforce provides an easy way to administer for non-technical administrators as well as great tools for developers. It helps me track all of my leads, check my opens and i really like how it is a centralized system and it has all the notes on accounts and prospects. Excellent integration with Google Suite. Not bad reports in real time, I often use them. Also, I see my task list which I need to do, a good built-in scheduler

Cons: Functional but at the same time it's quite expensive.Sometimes you might need someone thats has training in salesforce to run certain reports that you would like to see. Experienced admins know much more than the tier 1 support team and it takes several iterations/escalations to get an issue resolved.

Pros: Good customer support with an active chat system for little problems, or a phone support option for more difficult to explain situations. The CRM side is really nice and the google drive system makes it easy for everyone to have access without being in house. It lets us work together without having to take up a conference room or even a projector

Cons: Works well as long as you stay in the program or their programs, but when you start trying to cross support the data doesn't stack up as nicely as it could

Pros: Functionality is very comprehensive and AppExchange has a large App can be used. We love its Lightning UI and respond speed. It also provide many learning information and documentation for technical or business users. Its ecosystem is also very powerful than other CRM vendors.

Cons: Too expensive for a small business unit or individuals to use. If you choice SalesIQ version, there is not equal functionality with Sales Cloud.

Pros: If you like data (which I do), Salesforce offers comprehensive options for capturing and following leads from the top of the sales funnel, on through closing the deal and beyond. At every stage, Salesforce provides usable data to nurture leads attentively and efficiently.

Cons: There is a big learning curve to Salesforce if you're new to the software. There are so many facets to its capabilities, it may take some dedicated self-training time (or time with one of their reps) to get ramped up, but once you are, it's all smooth sailing.

Pros: I used this to manage a campaign for a client. I really enjoyed the preview and test email features, it helped me to test out the campaign in real life without wondering what it would look like when a customer saw it.

Cons: While I liked the custom HTML feature for campaigns, I disliked their editor. I had to write the code in my own editor and then copy and paste it. Not the worst, but could be a more streamlined experience.

Overall our sales team really enjoyed using Salesforce

Pros: I liked that you truly could create anything you needed in Salesforce. It is so robust and has so many different features and applications that it will never be a limiting factor for your team.

Cons: because of all of the features and abilities it was a little bit overwhelming at times, but I think that was just because I needed to take more time to understand it and learn how it works.

Pros: This software is a beast. I mean, you can do literally ANYTHING you want as a salesperson with salesforce

Cons: However, understanding it was a bit complicated. Man, I didn't even know which of the softwares listed I used! The features are high quality but hard to implement or understand without an IT team dedicated to it. Besides this, I think it's a little overprices, especially if you are a small company trying to implement it.

Pros: I like the most about SalesForce is that it provides a lot of flexibility and control to the administrators about what they want their customers to be able to see and what not.

Cons: I like it overall but the only thing that bothers me is the cost of it. I would like the price to be reasonable enough for everyone to be able to use it.

Pros: I love how you can add nearly any functionality to this software! The app exchange is great for finding additional software/coding/etc to add to your SF instance. It's great!

Cons: The expense. If you want any real functionality out of the box, you need at least Enterprise edition, which can be quite very costly.

Pros: The possible add-ons and integrations with a vast majority of software through open API is really the main attraction from SalesForce, it is built to please everyone and with the proper work input it can do so.

Cons: The price tag is extremely heavy compared to the competition, especially if you use it as a basic CRM and don't take advantage of its connectivity and tons of add-ons.

Overall: The capacity to track and update the information about what our sales team is doing on the road with an easy-to-use dashboard.

The software is also easy to navigate. A simple navigation bar exists at the top of the window.

Pros: Social capabilities. The tool's social media function and news feed operate very much like Facebook, thus making it very familiar as well as easy to use for users. You can quickly browse the news feed and immediately post status updates, share links, and upload files right from the dashboard.

Cons: Pricing. For some small businesses, pricing may also be an issue. Although the helpdesk solution offers affordable prices even for small businesses, the problem may happen when it comes customizing the software and if you prefer using third-party solutions.

Comments: If your business unit and organization really consider formal and enterprise level CRM or service platform for customer, you should put it the first vendor of your consideration list. To apply one testing account for their developer edition and find out many support information from internet, then you can study their powerful functionality first before you choice it.

Pros: Functionality is very comprehensive and AppExchange has a large App can be used. We love its Lightning UI and respond speed. It also provide many learning information and documentation for technical or business users. Its ecosystem is also very powerful than other CRM vendors.

Cons: Too expensive for a small business unit or individuals to use. If you choice SalesIQ version, there is not equal functionality with Sales Cloud.

Pros: what we can do with Sales Force far exceeds what we imagined - don't be afraid. we are able to replace 3-4 products so far and hope to get our software products down to one or two max. . . there are a lot of people / companies who can get you ramped up. there are so many add ins that make us more efficient etc

Cons: I want things NOW but custom - - unrealistic expectations seem to be the most common reasons for people i know not getting the most out of the product. this can be so custom, just not off the shelf. this can be too big of a product for some people

Pros: I love that you can make any field you want, and also the process engine allows you to generate lots of automated populating. It comes basic, but once you master it you can't conform it to whatever your business needs. It also integrates data directly to Microsoft Power BI, which is amazing for analytics.

Cons: Support is overall good - but it takes a couple days to work through an issue. I've never had same day resolution.

Pros: Flexibility and control. Salesforce (Enterprise Edition) provides admins with near complete control over who sees what and how solutions are presented to employees and clients alike. SF has a powerful Community support tool suite as well.
Practically every need we've had as a business has been covered by Salesforce natively or via one of thousands of partners on their "app exchange"

Cons: Super expensive. Very pushy sales team. Renewals are a real bear to deal with. It's hard to get through a renewal without at least a 7% increase in overall price.
Support options are both expensive and underwhelming. You get what you pay for, however. Premier Support is quite good but practically doubles the cost of the platform

Overall: Salesforce runs our entire Sales and CS functions

Pros: Our employees, communicating with customers, now know which of the colleagues had previously contacted the customer, what points have already been discussed. Thus, we minimize the number of calls to customers and at the same time save valuable time.

Cons: For marketing companies, SalesForce, it turns out, has separate modules specially designed for this purpose. But not all are familiar with them, so there is practically no one to help with their configuration.

Pros: Salesforce can be customized to fit the individual needs of our office. I use it to track potential orders, information requests, keep customers informed, remind our sales staff of items they need to update, repairs and orders. It helps me to be better prepared when a customer called to ask for information on their account or an order. There are so many ways to customize this software from adding fields to updating the templates for emails to be sent to customers.

Overall: Order tracking made easy, the ability to reference customer account and location information and the ability to track potential orders. The report generator is very useful and helps us to keep our metrics on track.

Pros: It is incredible the amount of tools this software offers. I can search for any web-related function and there is a tutorial for it!

Cons: It has gone through a lot of changes very recently, so most of the FAQ and tutorials have not been updated accordingly

Pros: I like that salesforce is entirely customizable. This allows any organization to adopt it and make it fit their sales process and needs.

Cons: A company will need to have someone who is very familiar with the software to use it. It has thousands of features and is not easily mastered. Salesforce offers certification tests that allow people to take a salesforce administered exam to prove their proficiency, something that is very much needed due to how complicated the software is. This isn't something that an employee could learn to administer without prior experience. An organization will need to hire someone who is certified by salesforce to have an affective administrator.

Overall: It really is a one-stop shop for a cloud-based CRM. There is also a ton of information and knowledge in the salesforce success community where users can learn more.

Pros: For me personally this was very easy to use. It didn't take very long for someone as un-techsavy as myself to pick up using this software. I really like the design for this software.

Cons: It stores in columns rather than in rows which is honestly a little aggravating. For me personally, rows are much easier to work with. So this would be what I would like least about the software.

Pros: Salesforce comes out of the box ready to use for most organizations with little training required. The ability to extend its functionality with its programming language Apex makes it possible to move many business processes into it. This also makes it very customizable, so it can fit into any business environment.

Cons: Obviously the biggest problem is price. Salesforce is definitely not the cheapest option, but it does give us a great ROI as we are able to save in other areas because of Salesforce's tools.

Overall: When new contacts are created I am assigned tasks and place the contacts to the current accounts for our account managers. We require CE credits for membership and since using Salesforce we are better able to track the continuing education and make sure the data is being received and implemented more efficiently.

Pros: SFDC plugs into everything with obvious and significant focus on API development. The flexibility and useability of the UI, especially SFDC Lightning, has made daily tasks for our analysts and front-line customer facing representatives much quicker and efficient.

Cons: The lack of snapshot data seems like an area of improvement that I run into at every company and role I've been in while using SFDC. The ability to look at revenue, orders, activities, etc. as they were at a past point in time would make it much easier to understand changes to the data and activities that have influenced our customers' experiences.

Pros: Customizable dashboard. When you log in, the tool's dashboard gives you a huge range of report widgets, allowing you to have a bird's-eye perspective of how your company is performing. Your sales reps can check out real-time summaries of customer data and other relevant statistics.

Cons: Uncontrolled administration. Users also complain that Salesforce can turn your work environment into a nightmare because its administration features can be uncontrolled.

Pros: the fact that you can run reports. it is super helpful for prospecting and retargeting old prospects. You can track activity. You also have the ability to synch it with your email.

Cons: you usually have to integrated with another software .. a calling software most of the time. Running reports should be more streamline. Employers usually have a difficult time running reports.

Pros: I love this app for work with my funnels, I use the forms on my landings pages, the process it's nice because I can see my prospects and the fidelity of my clients

Pros: The features to add and organize my contacts. Another source I like is the ability to add people as an admins right. Provides free training programs using the help section or watching videos

Cons: Having to use so many steps to use the content. Also, discouraging to download the report using excel spreadsheet when I wish it could be downloaded correctly without using to fix it afterwards. It is user friendflg but requires a lot of steps to follow

Pros: We were able to customize some parts of this software for our business which helped in a big way. Being able to automate portions of this CRM is ideal.

Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve. But thankfully they offer an immense about of training material.

Overall: Organization at its best! Loved the ability to have all contacts with notes on each readily available.

Pros: The sofware is powerfull and allows to make reports and tasks that help to make an accurate decision in our sales platform.

Pros: While the concept of their software is brilliant, I found that it seems much more useful for a larger company as opposed to a small business. Being a small business with a limited budget the return on the investment wasn't there for me.

Cons: It was difficult for me to incorporate into the business and the millions of other tasks I had at hand made it even more difficult to use.

Pros: Probably the worlds best CRM. Very versatile. Can be customized to suit all requirements. Works with most marketing software, payment gateway, etc. Plug-ins available for pretty much everything.

Cons: Salesforce development is expensive. It takes a lot of time & money to add new features. Some of the apps on lightening exchange do require tech support in order to be integrated

Pros: I have 5 years of experience in using Salesforce CRM, I have seen that we can do any configuration or customization to help our workflows and business requirements, regular updates are provided with new features. I like the feature of storing information regarding lead of our company and keeping this for further analysis for better development of our company also I can easily see the history emails of my co-workers and handy app is really helpful for us, I can use wherever I need, Salesforce is known as the best CRM for reason as they are the most effective CRM on market they have a huge community support, I also like "clicks not code" feature of Salesforce. Salesforce is a very flexible and robust can be easily adapted to any work flow.

Cons: the setup process is a little bit tedious to do, I have to type all customer information in the beginning manually. Salesforce has so many features that are irrelevant for the business those who don't use it very much, the user interface is not that much good.

I use Salesforce as an educator for academic advising purposes. Overall it has been good.

Pros: What I like most about the software is the ease of functionality. I am able to find what I am looking for rather quickly. Having the cloud storage as part of Salesforce has been helpful, especially as I input and track data. In advising we use a lot of paper, so by having Salesforce we've been able to move towards being green and eliminate as much paper as possible.

Cons: One of the challenges I have with Salesforce is its difficult to pull reports. There are so different logics and inputs that it's hard to generate reports that you may need. Also some of the functionality in terms of entering in notes for clients are placed in multiple areas. There should be one main area where notes can be entered.

Comments: You know when you interview someone and you ask them for their weakness and they turn a positive into a negative ("I'm a perfectionist!") Well, that is the issue with Salesforce. It is so configurable that you can get yourself into trouble! There are layers and layers of security and configurations - you get to choose how complex your org will be. How you set up objects and relationships will greatly impact on how you can later get out your data. Take the time to engage a Data Architect to review the design before you release to the hordes! And while yes, the data structure and reporting tool inhibit reporting and analytics, it collects the data relatively well. Best bet is to get a copy of your data and get it into a data warehouse or even a couple of simple reporting tables. Get your users used to using other tools for reporting whenever possible.

Pros: It is easy to get up and running with a very simple and basic sales/CRM configuration with Salesforce. Creating custom objects (tables) and fields is pretty simple and convenient. The platform also offers easy to use, off the shelf APIs that make integrating outside sources and systems pretty straightforward. And, if designed properly, it can scale and adapt fairly well. Extremely configurable and can ultimately do most things asked of it.

Cons: I have two issues with Salesforce. The first is the way it stores the data. Because it is an object oriented database, it stores more in columns than in rows. The User Interface is based on the structure of the objects and on the relationships of those objects. What ends up happening is that data starts to "spread" via triggers and workflows so it will be visible. Traditionally, there has been a lot of copying of data between Salesforce objects. The second issue is an extension of the first - Reporting. Reporting is inherently difficult to begin with because of the structure of the data. In order to create a report, a "report type" has to be created which pre-identifies the objects and fields. It makes ad-hoc reporting difficult and time consuming. But the reporting tool itself is clunky and difficult to use. To be clear, this is basic Salesforce reporting - not Einstein or Wave. You can't rename columns on the fly, can't create non aggregated calculations, and the user interface is just plain outdated.

Comments: I was skeptical about going with Saleforce but was proven 100% wrong. It's a very solid organization once you get past the sales cycle.

Pros: The support is excellent, the software is excellent. The functionality and reliability is very good and we have had a good experience with Salesforce. Our users enjoy working with it. I would certainly purchase Salesforce again.

Cons: It's a bit on the pricey side and you can get nickled and dimed a bit on some of the add-ons. It's still a pretty good value and certainly is the class of the field but their pricing is a bit high in my opinion. Also, they are quite aggressive in the sales cycle which I do not appreciate.

Pros: I just started using Salesforce as a way to track my tasks and it's so helpful. Gone are the days of keeping a record in a notebook or spreadsheet.

Cons: I haven't converted to lighting experience yet, but I've heard that the "look and feel" is more modern. That's my issue with the classic version right now - it seems a little dated.

Pros: Very complete, full of integration and interactive when you connect it to different sources of data. Allows you to see amazing metrics when needed and when customised in that way.

Cons: Often used cause well known and full of integration (real advantage) it is way too complicated for small structure, way too expensive and not flexible enough. Pipedrive is way easier to use and quite enough to simply manage a sales pipeline.
