Comments: When starting at CCCC, CC-Assist was already in place. But, the office was using about 50% of the system. My accounting training told me that underutilizing any system was a waste of money. With my push we began to take advantage of the unused pieces.
Staff at CC-Assist were very kind and helpful; and guided us to utilize the system to our best advantage. They gave pros/cons & how others were using the system. When I started to think outside the box to utilize the system better, the staff at CC-Assist were supportive and encouraging. Thus utilizing the system in ways that were not the original intent & making it adaptable. CC-Assist intends to incorporate some of these uses into future updates. This tells me CC-Assist is receptive to suggestions from their clients.
Our use of more features plus CC-Assist programing modifications has enhanced search engine results. We were experiencing maybe 2,500 hits per month. This October 2015, we exceeded 200,000. Yes, there are the computer "bots", but they┬┐re legitimate hits from Google, Bing, Yahoo, Monster, Coupon, etc. In the long run these bots are beneficial to our members & help promote the jobs they post, the price specials they list, the descriptive profiles they write, and the Chamber membership itself. Perhaps we can't take "direct" credit for the referral, but through "jaw boning" we told (& continue to tell) our members to expect better internet exposure.
Communication to members is one of our main driving forces at this Chamber. If we are not continuously communicating to our members, they may forget us & question our value. CC-Assist has multiple ways to reach out to members. There are the event reminders, a sub-system we were not using. Now our members look forward to the reminders. On Line Mail Merge, another un-used feature, now allows us to confirm member information in our data base directly with the member. In the mail merge we include simple instructions on how to confirm their data and make the corrections themselves. With the "Visual Designer" we are able to include LINKS to the specific web page in our data base allowing the member to quickly access their business data and make corrections, which we are able to track via the "online change log" of CC-Assist. Using these features has provided us with the highest data confirmation rate we have ever experienced.
Do I like the system? Yes, I do.
