It is not good at all. If I was the one making the de decision I wouldn't buy it. I worked with other HR platforms that were much more friendly, agile and human focus.

Pros

It is robust. You have different modules that integrate well with each other.

Cons

It is not user friendly. Even the icons are not friendly. Do it more human. The front end shoud be more close to human behaviour. Whenever you want to do a change you face complexity. The interaction between customer and provider is not agile at all.

Reason for choosing SAP SuccessFactors HCM

Because I was not the one making the decision.

Pros

Obviously integrates seamlessly with other SAP tools which is nice if you/your company use the full suite of products.

Cons

It seems to be very slow at times and overall the software is a bit outdated/not as intuitive as others. The price is a little high, but pretty decent for a large company. I wouldn't say the learning curve is minimal and the customer support has been pretty dismal, at least for us. Price isn't great as they charge extra for certain features

It has streamlined our recruitment and onboarding. Hiring Managers are accountable for initiating the RCM process. The audit trail has made it easy to find delays in the process.

Pros

Ease of use. Ability to audit actions and generate reports.

Cons

Expensive to implement and each module is priced separately.

Cons

A general canned application and with minimal functionality, unless your team has the ability to write in workarounds. Initially I believed the product to be more sophisticated.

My company uses SAP SuccessFactors and I am an end-user of the product. SAP SuccessFactors provided us the standardization of all the HR processes. We use all the tools (performance management, learning management, talent management, etc) from one solution that is integrated within itself. It is a robust and easy to use solution

Cons

It is definitely slow and sometimes it takes time to find something specific in the menu because it is crowded.

Pros

The software is very customizable and we've been able to update content as needed with ease. The recruiting and professional development categories are decent.

Cons

Our platform is outdated and we'd have to pay a rather obscene amount of money to get it up-to-speed with other clients. The recruiting pipeline is sluggish and we often have to rely on working with third-party support rather than getting what we need from SAP support.

It's a great tool for big companies that training and performance goals are handled easily.

Pros

I like using Learning as I can track my progress for the trainings that scheduled during year and it keeps the history. We put the performance goals in at the beginning of the year and update continuously so can check where we are.

Cons

Notifications are not deleted despite reading them. They do show up every time.

I liked the diversity of features available in the software, be it Time Tracking, Payroll, Ease of Profile Setup or applying for an e-separation.

Cons

I suggest that they have an option for employees moving from temporary to permanent to migrate their time off balance from the old to the new account.

Currently, my organization is running into a road block integrating SAP SuccessFactors Learning with CEB Metrics That Matter. I find it surprising that an analyst-recognized leader (SAP) and the industry leader in providing best practice and talent management insights (Gartner) are not able to communicate with each other.

Pros

I like most that SAP SuccessFactors Learning is comprehensive in its ability to manage the employee training cycle.

Cons

I like least that SAP SuccessFactors Learning is limited in its ability to report on evaluation learning data. Reports consist of either a pdf or .csv file and often fail if the file is too large or takes too long to run.

Pros

Keeps a nice tidy database of all current and past employees. There are many sections to list employee information, of course it requires administrators to keep it updated.

Cons

The software UI is simple, and a little clunky. It take a bit to load everything. Clicking the wrong thing will waste around 30 seconds to get back to where you wanted to be.

Pros

SuccessFactors was at the forefront of goal setting/performance management back in 2007. The product features remain strong.

Cons

I am very disappointed with SAP's customer support model for SuccessFactors' clients. SAP makes it very difficult for clients to create their own forms in the system so they need to hire a 3rd party vendor and pay per hour for support. Additionally, if a client has a technical issue, they need to log a ticket and wait weeks for a response. There is not a way to speak with a "live" person unless you pay extra for one of their support packages.

SuccessFactors allows for an enormous amount of data to be entered in and gathered by the system, and all of the content types allow for great flexibility.

Cons

It's an enormous beast with a dated back-end and lackluster front-end. It's not intuitive at all, and requires an enormous amount of maintenance.

Pros

SAP SuccessFactors is a good product for the value. It is customizable and has a lot of features to automate HR processes. The design isn’t as modern as other options, but the software if good.

Cons

The design and user interface is a bit dated with SAP.

Pros

It's very user-friendly. It has a clean dashboard with a to-do list. It's great for setting goals and performance reviews; it provides a nice timeline and lets you know exactly which stage it's in.

Cons

I think the overall design and layout of the software could use some improvement.

The software is set up for folks who are not computer savvy. The most effective piece of the system is the job posting portal

As an ERP system, this has very few features that transpose into SAP Accounting System. Work needs to be duplicated by users.

Good experience as a user, Onboarding module seems works fine except some bugs. With older versions you can meet some UI bugs and sometimes have to change web browser (for Internet Explorer)

Pros

Complete and powerful software that allow make lot of things around Onboarding, HR employee management, etc...

Cons

Not easy to use, some bugs (non clickable buttons for one example) with older versions which make more difficult simple user to get things done
