### "NextGen-For All Of My Medical Charting Needs"

March 7, 2020

5.0

I am a patient who relies heavily on legit communication between Physician A & Physician Z and have had such Doctors use the NextGen system as their Patient Portal and Electronic Records submission tool of choice. It hasn't been as popular these days with my circle of medical pros but my old info is still retrievable and I still use it for past and current record communications. It has been the easiest and a most safe portal for my valuable personal information to be displayed on and transmitted through from my own first hand experience. I have no influence on who chooses what mostly and I have only switched to other products at the controllers hands not by my own choice.

Pros

I remember many, many previous physicians whose companies relied on NextGen for Patient Portal relations and true in depth access to records and such. I am a performer who has lived in many states. In California almost every prescriber had this type of portal. Still true as I looked up old material recently. In my current area many groups have switched around and around and I wish they would have been with NextGen or go to them. I have found the interlinking of my Medical Professionals and my private information to be under the best guides with an incredible ease on my end when wanting to share something quickly or connect Providers. Very easy and trusting especially in a world so concerned about hippa privacy laws.

Cons

The big dislike was the random physician or practice that did not participate with NextGen or often didn't have an electronic record system at all. I have encountered that on a less frequent basis lately. I will say I see other software options taking the reigns but I am a creature of habit and like what works. The allowance to link other similar companies is there but I like NextGen's layout and in depth design of my own records and sometimes more so it is apparent that records are not as easily transmitted from them to another software program.

### "It has potential but very hard to make work for users."

May 22, 2018

3.0

It helped increase our meaningful use incentives. Although not easy you are able to submit for PCMH recognition.

Pros

There is a built in coding tool for providers. In other EMRs, coders are required. If utilized properly you can customize templates based on visit type and specialty. The key is to take the time to customize it how you need. The version I work with is hosted by a hospital and it is not flexible enough for an FQHC.

Cons

It is extremely hard to pull reports that combine PM and EHR info. Reporting in general is like learning a new language. You have to understand the logic behind where things are pulling from.

### "One of the best lead generators out there. "

October 18, 2022

5.0

10/10, honestly wouldn't be where I am at today in sales without the assistance and leads of Next gen. A 100% must for anyone that needs insurance leads.

Pros

I love the pure quality of the leads it provides. I will never find another generator that can give such a guaranteed touch and contact with a lead

Cons

Sometimes the price of the lead can be very expensive depending on the filtering you choose. however, it is completely worth it because Ill buy a 70$ lead that pays me out over a thousand. Its a no brainer to keep buying them.

### "NexGen Review"

September 15, 2019

4.0

I do like the NexGen EHR for the ease of using versus paper charts. The support for NexGen is not the best. The inability to customize it for our needs is very limiting to our company.

Pros

Pros: ability to customize notes easily, easy to enter multiple medications, unable to customize the program for specific needs to the clinic, unable to have ICD 9 codes taken off current list of diagnosis

Cons

Cons: immunizations do not print in a nice readable table, diagnosis is readily linked to medications, unable to generate a diagnosis list, unable to print inactive medication list

### "Nexgen user "

August 20, 2018

4.0

Pros

This is very user friendly good for ambulatory and out patient settings. The clinical user side is a little tedious. In terms of design it looks dated.

Cons

Not as clean and user friendly as epic. Can be redundant at some points in the interface.

### "Very poor Customer Service"

We had Nextgen for several years. We tried to implement the EMR system, but with all the problems we had to keep paper charts so EMR was useless. Customer No-Service was the usual. I would not recommend them at all

Pros

Nothing

Customer No-Service, every upgrade was an additional cost
