Great to use for reservations, This site is easy for our customers and helps us to keep the reservations rolling in.

Cons

Not to sure, maybe the fact that the back end isnt so user friendly when it comes to making changes to your own account. It is kinda scary that one change can mess everything up.

I'd stick with Betterez because because of the support offered by the team to address any issues.

Pros

Betterez has a ton of features and the team are great to work with. I particularly enjoy exploring the data, I just wish that some of the analytics were better presented.

Cons

Aspects of the set up are not intuitive or seem to be pacing behind competitors. In particular, pre- and post-departure notifications and Terms o& Conditions rely on html coding, and ad hoc customer messaging is non-existent. The software is set up to run a company, just not to market the company and elevate the guest experience.

The average person has expectations that the bus sector is as developed as any other sector. Our industry is limited in size and limited funding, once you adjust your expectations that we don't have airline-level budgets or uber venture capital, you will realize that working with Betterez is frankly the only solution. But if you think that you can buy some buses, undercut your competition, and just get Betterez for bare bone price and take over the market, you have a big surprise and disappointment coming your way. This isn't high-volume software, It is about long-term relationships, and willingness to pay as your part of the investment into future development and evolution. This software won't allow you to be a fly-by-night operation, you still need to do things, right, and have IT, team, dev team, marketing, admin, and compliance, If you think the software is your entrance to competing with the existing players, your better off doing something else in life. Betterez is a good software partner, and you must be willing to work with them, and they will work with you, but this is a long-term relationship and you need to protect it and nurture it. You must be committed to operating and staying operational. Yes the software is a great foundation, and it has the option to grow, but we have a full-time dev team to evolve Betterez through API hooks even more.

Pros

The only dedicated intercity bus software based in North America that I found acceptable. Time zones are killer for international options, and it is nice to have daytime support, and our industry was so much in the dark ages, it takes time to develop this to what the airlines, are or uber is, but they are doing it, we are working with them on that, and our in house team innovates on what Betterez doesn't have time to do.

Cons

Well, we have a way to go before we can say we are better than airlines uber, or other well-funded sectors. Maybe 5 to 10 years before the bus sector has a 100% capable fully developed software, we are just that far behind other sectors. Not Betterez fault, mostly greyhound fault, but Betterez is working to improve that.

Pros

I like Betterez's reservations engine which is easy to use and I have not had a single complain from our customer's when they want to make a ticket purchase. I also like the connectivity that they offer with 3rd party market places such as Busbud.com and Wanderu.com, we were up and running on these platforms with hours of our implementations. I find the bus tracking app for the customers a great bonus as it takes away the stress on our end as well as notifies the customers of the vehicles position so that they know how long they need to wait to get on their ride.

Cons

I think improvements are needed with all tools and platforms no matter how well and efficiently they perform, I would like to suggest additions of certain tools such as google ads traffic tracking and also having the Betterez widget for reservations implemented on our home page.

has a new user, I find that the platform is very well made to meet our transportation needs. On the other hand, I find that the platform is not very user friendly and it is difficult to naviagte an fully understand all the features offered by the platform. Often I navigate to the admin section and click on an option and it is difficult to understand what that option offers and the answer is not always easily found in the support site.

Pros

Cons

I think there should be a link between the Betterez platform and the Betterez support platform. It would be interesting that when you are in a section of betterez and you want to have more information, that there is a clickable link that redirects to the right section of betterez support. Currently, I think the feature we would like to have is the ability to limit the number of specials resquest per trip. I also think it would be interesting to be able to add promos code on flexpass products, instead of always having to create new fare types. I think it would be interesting to have an option in the 5 day outlook, when you select a trip, to have the possibility to send an email to all passengers of this trip. For problems such as delays, breakdowns in the bus, etc., we could easily inform the passengers of the trip of the problem and even send a promo code in the email to compensate for the disruption of the trip. Also, I think it would be great to be able to customize more easily the customer interface to better represent the brand image of our company.

Overall experience with Betterez has been positive. The customer support team is responsive and generally responds to our requests and issues in a timely manner. The UI is easy to use and our employee and staff have been able to learn and familiarize with the booking system quickly. The reports are accurate, which makes data analysis easy to help facilitate on-going business decisions. One challenge was on-boarding as that process took longer than anticipated, but the management team at Betterez was there to assist every step of the way. One thing I would like to see more of is better compatibility with API's and a more expansive use-case for the Flex Passes. Overall, happy to be utilizing Betterez for our ticketing and reservations for our company and looking forward to utilizing their new functions as they come online going forward.

The Betterez team got our deployment off the ground in a matter of days. Very light lift, great support. Straightforward and reliable.

Cons

The light lift is a double edged sword. Fast, low cost deployment, but hard to differentiate design style from other deployments.
