Pros It is easy to install, easy to learn to use, the browser extensions are awesome, the ability to securely share passwords with users is unbelievably helpful in team environments and the search functions work super well. The sales team are really lovely and not pushy and happy to make sure you have the right product for you, not constantly trying to upsell. Cons While I appreciate the added security of not being able to do a forgot password on a master password, it would be helpful to have some sort of opt-in feature for business based accounts for admins to force that for the inevitable person who will forget the password and learn the hard way that they need to start from scratch, as that can be a time drain. They always only need to learn once, but its a time consuming lesson! We used to have what felt like a great discount, but after getting us on the hook, and a few rep changes, they no longer negotiate prices. We have had 4 reps, in almost 3 years. Again - Keeper Security has been easy to use and great implementation, our issue is with KCM and having paid for a service we can't use. Pros Simple and easy password management. Easy to share passwords in a very secure way with employees who need access to portals but don't need to know the log-in information. Cons Keeper Security is great, but KCM is something we enrolled in and haven't been able to use it at all. We were sold on it's ability to provide highly managed and recorded sign-ons, and we discussed which websites and programs we would use it for, and then it turned out to be too complicated for their techs to make work. The business relationship is simple, the product is of high quality and my team uses it as intended. For a password manager, that's my biggest ask. We aren't doing anything with PAM or automated changes today but those capabilities exist when we're ready for them. Pros It is inexpensive, very easy to use and very secure. Between the mobile app and browser plug-in, I'm able to easily fill in passwords without the risk posed by auto-fill from other vendors. Sharing and organizing secrets is also simple with support for group memberships and shared folders. Cons Nothing comes to mind. We've turned on some of their advanced security features like device approval and still no real issues. At first, I felt like I had to become an expert in your product in order to be successful, which I don't think should be necessary. I would have liked to have a 10 minute call with someone that could tell me exactly what to do or do it for me. I don't recall that being an option. Have to constantly log-in, plugins would not auto-complete OR would try to auto-complete things I don't wish to. Setting up 2FA is a mess, half the time I have to save the QR in a file on my computer before manually uploading it on Keeper. Also, "sharing" or "managing" secrets from an admin perspective over employees is kind of weak. We have also transferred passwords when an employee has left the organization. This allows us to go in and either change the information or delete the account, that we might not have known about if we didn't have Keeper. Pros Very easy to use. It does a great job of prompting correctly for the user name and password, unless you have multiple ones for the site, then it allows you to select which one you want to have it fill in. It also is really good at assisting with changing a password. Cons When creating a new password it doesn't prompt for what folder you want to save it under, so you have to go into the vault to move it to the folder you want it saved too. Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Keeper Security Saved Me After A Robbery" September 18, 2016 5.0 I currently use the Keeper Security app on my iPhone 6 and my MacBook Pro. Nearly four years ago I was struggling to keep track of all of my log in IDs and passwords. I knew it was important to have a variety of passwords and a complexity to them across all the electronic areas I utilized. I found the Keeper Security app to be easy to use. I soon out-grew my need for the free version and purchased the full application. This product has far surpassed my expectations! It is easy to use, back up, and synchronize with my laptop. I highly recommend this product for individuals, but would recommend it for small businesses as well. A final testimony to how this product has served me: In 2015 my home was broken into and my spouse and I got cleaned out! To make matters more complicated, we were living outside of the USA at the time. Luckily, I still had one computer and I was able to access my Keeper Security backup. Because I had Keeper I could provide all of the account numbers of my banking information, license, and passport to the police. I could call back to the USA and work with one of my banks and my credit card institutions, because I had kept the phone numbers associated with them in the Keeper Security folders that I set up. This application, this software really saved me during one of my darkest days. Again, I highly recommend this program. Pros Easy to use. Easy to access when you need to look up something quickly and in the moment. I have 235 listings currently and I grow the data base each week because I find one more thing to keep secure. I am able to have highly complex passwords for my financial profiles because Keeper will generate them for me. I can choose the length of password I need and press the magic dice! I like having all of my insurance information, email passwords, all the access information I forget to use with Apple, and I can have a different password for each website I sign into. Cons The one thing that I have recommended to Keeper is to create a price break for those who want it for just two people in the household. Right now there is no price break for two. The pricing structure is great if you want to buy a family plan, but I don't have five people in my household. Director of IT Defense & Space Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Decent Enterprise Password Manager" May 3, 2020 4.0 We hoped to get users to adopt using keeper, but have had pretty poor overall adoption. Early on, there were some bugs in the browser integration that caused user headaches, and Keeper developed a reputation in our org of being a problem, not solution. Average user thinks storing passwords on the web is insecure, and people make crazy arguments as to why they do not want to use a PW manager. Short of an edict that it must be used, adoption has been our major issue. The IT team users Keeper, and we are happy with daily use. We have had pretty good support from Keeper when problems have come up. Most issues were getting the Connection to Azure working (documentation was not up to date, the Azure Web site had been modified). Migration between versions was another big issue when some users lost access to their vaults. In short, this is a good tool, but we have not gotten the business value we had hoped for due to poor adoption. Pros Keeper is pretty easy to use. Support is pretty good. Security model is good. Azure / AD Integration Admin console shows good stats on adoption rate and usage. Cons Ability to import from 1 password is very limited. Instructions are poor, and relies on CSV and CSV grooming to get an import to at best partly work. As a long time 1password user, having to manually update every entry, and recreate the OTP was way more difficult than it should have been. One of the Keeper upgrades broke access to a number of vaults, and correcting this was a wasted day of my life. Azure integration stopped working right for these account, had to get them setup again with a Master Password. Seems like the upgrade was poorly on inadequately tested. The need to have a VM dedicated to connect Azure to Keeper- drop this. Other integrations with Azure do not require an on premises VM. Why is this integration not hosted on a Keeper Server? Security audit has no filtering between personal and shared entries. Cannot add columns to audit results, and cannot limit audit to a single vault/folder. Reason for choosing Keeper Security Best all around feature set at the time. Pros Keeper security is an excellent password manager that offers an easy to use mobile application, browser extension and desktop application. It allows Teams to store shared passwords across folders along with individual records. keeper also offers a personal licence alongside the business licence so users can have a separate instance for non business related details. Keeper has good password security scores and threat intelligence although I haven't investigated this much. Cons Keeper autofill can b frustrating when working as it can block fields from custom information and occasionally stops tabbing down into the next text box. When using integration from Azure AD which handles MFA the keeper device approvals security feature can be irritating. Having to run a Windows service to avoid this can be frustrating. It has worked well for most of the team. Pros I can add new passwords to my vault from my phone or my computer or my tablet and it is synced between all devices. Cons I really enjoy the autofill feature, but it is frustrating when it does not work, which happens mostly on my phone, but sometimes on my computer. Reason for choosing Keeper Security I had used Keeper personally for over 10 years before becoming a business account. Even though there was no automatic transfer of my vault, it just made sense to stay with Keeper. I just needed to export my vault and import it into the new account. I use the IOS app on my phone. its impossible to remember all of your passwords, I would be lost without this software. I like that I can use touch ID to access my passwords which really speeds up the process. My mother who isn't great with computers and is even worse at remembering passwords uses this app too with out any problems, which speaks to how intuitive and easy to use its user interface is.
