Pros It is easy to install, easy to learn to use, the browser extensions are awesome, the ability to securely share passwords with users is unbelievably helpful in team environments and the search functions work super well. The sales team are really lovely and not pushy and happy to make sure you have the right product for you, not constantly trying to upsell. Cons While I appreciate the added security of not being able to do a forgot password on a master password, it would be helpful to have some sort of opt-in feature for business based accounts for admins to force that for the inevitable person who will forget the password and learn the hard way that they need to start from scratch, as that can be a time drain. They always only need to learn once, but its a time consuming lesson! " December 18, 2025 3.0 It was good, until they price hiked nearly 50%. We used to have what felt like a great discount, but after getting us on the hook, and a few rep changes, they no longer negotiate prices. We have had 4 reps, in almost 3 years. Pros It's a good software, works as intended, new features added often. iphone, android, and windows apps, browser extension. Cons Seems there are semi constant price hikes, changes in reps, and feels like a cash grab to loyal customers. We came to keeper due to pricing; they raise the price almost 10% yearly. This is not including discounts they also removed. Again - Keeper Security has been easy to use and great implementation, our issue is with KCM and having paid for a service we can't use. Pros Simple and easy password management. Easy to share passwords in a very secure way with employees who need access to portals but don't need to know the log-in information. Cons Keeper Security is great, but KCM is something we enrolled in and haven't been able to use it at all. We were sold on it's ability to provide highly managed and recorded sign-ons, and we discussed which websites and programs we would use it for, and then it turned out to be too complicated for their techs to make work. The business relationship is simple, the product is of high quality and my team uses it as intended. For a password manager, that's my biggest ask. We aren't doing anything with PAM or automated changes today but those capabilities exist when we're ready for them. Pros It is inexpensive, very easy to use and very secure. Between the mobile app and browser plug-in, I'm able to easily fill in passwords without the risk posed by auto-fill from other vendors. Sharing and organizing secrets is also simple with support for group memberships and shared folders. Cons Nothing comes to mind. We've turned on some of their advanced security features like device approval and still no real issues. Pros The features are quite customisable and enable an organisation like ours to work within a specific requirements of operation. Cons The price is not competitive and unaffordable for our NGO. The API is an additional cost. We may need to leave Keeper purley on the grounds of cost. Alternatives considered [NordPass Business](https://www.capterra.com/p/203254/NordPass/) Reason for choosing Keeper Security The ability to manage shared passwords amongst a crew turnaround of 3months was critical. The way we have been able to share passwords and force our crew to use the shared folders so things aren't lost or taken from the org was critical. It could do this. We also needed user management so we can manage access and licensing. We found a clunky way to do this with Keeper. Bitwarden and Nordpass could not do either of these. COO Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Not Suitable for Business Use" August 21, 2019 1.0 Even though we pay for the "business" level of this software, their support is terrible. Their online chat support is only available for consumer, not for enterprise. There's no phone number for business support. All you can do is fill out a contact form on their support website, and they are extremely slow to respond. When I pushed for a phone number from the "consumer" support person in online chat, they did finally give me a number, but it went straight to voicemail. They eventually called me back and tried to blame me for the problem. They said that if you don't set up your folders from the beginning with "default permissions" then there's nothing you can do afterwards to fix the problem. I explained that when a product advertises itself as "enterprise" grade, they have to understand that (1) employees come and go rapidly; and (2) admins must have full authority to edit permissions on any record within the organization, especially those created by previous admins or employees. If any of your employees stores a record as "Read Only" then not even an admin can change this. If that employee leaves the company there's no way for you to ever change the records that the employee created. The Keeper support person made it seem as if this is a perfectly normal and logical way to do things, and tried to blame me for "not setting up the default folder permissions correctly at the beginning". Of course, I wasn't the one who set it up originally, that was a previous admin! Pros Allows you to set up teams and roles. Allows you to upload your company logo. Cons This software is not suitable for businesses who have to manage multiple users. Even though the software allows you to create "Shared Folders", the records stored in each folder are still owned by individual users. So, even if you are an administrator and you have admin privileges on a shared folder, you still can't edit records that were saved by other users. If those users go on to leave the company, you will be permanently unable to edit those records. In a large company, people come and go, so you could end up with hundreds of "orphaned" records that you are unable to manage. The user interface is ok and can be used on all devices without too many issues. Cons Unfortunately Keeper lacks configurability and a well designed UI. On the configuration side it lacks detailed and easy to use and understand permission settings as well as no option to set a password policy for the password generator per entry - or probably even at all. The UI is not badly solved, but some tasks are either unintuitive, involve too many clicks, or are otherwise poorly implemented. You can see that no explicit UI testing with several test persons was performed here. As a small business with remote employees, we rely on the product daily to manage access to myriad systems. This platform allows me oversight and easy adoption, while providing all of the features I would expect from a top shelf security product. Pros We have found Keeper to be an easy and effective way for us to manage our company's password standards and security. Easy to share records with employees and generate passwords and eliminate reuse. I also love the zero-knowledge platform - our employees feel comfortable knowing they can use if for their personal passwords also, which helped with adoption. Cons Some of the browser extensions were a bit buggy in the beginning but they have been sorted out. The same with the new iPhone app. Nothing huge and all were corrected within an appropriate amount of time. Director of IT Defense & Space Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Decent Enterprise Password Manager" May 3, 2020 4.0 We hoped to get users to adopt using keeper, but have had pretty poor overall adoption. Early on, there were some bugs in the browser integration that caused user headaches, and Keeper developed a reputation in our org of being a problem, not solution. Average user thinks storing passwords on the web is insecure, and people make crazy arguments as to why they do not want to use a PW manager. Short of an edict that it must be used, adoption has been our major issue. The IT team users Keeper, and we are happy with daily use. We have had pretty good support from Keeper when problems have come up. Most issues were getting the Connection to Azure working (documentation was not up to date, the Azure Web site had been modified). Migration between versions was another big issue when some users lost access to their vaults. In short, this is a good tool, but we have not gotten the business value we had hoped for due to poor adoption. Pros Keeper is pretty easy to use. Support is pretty good. Security model is good. Azure / AD Integration Admin console shows good stats on adoption rate and usage. Cons Ability to import from 1 password is very limited. Instructions are poor, and relies on CSV and CSV grooming to get an import to at best partly work. As a long time 1password user, having to manually update every entry, and recreate the OTP was way more difficult than it should have been. One of the Keeper upgrades broke access to a number of vaults, and correcting this was a wasted day of my life. Azure integration stopped working right for these account, had to get them setup again with a Master Password. Seems like the upgrade was poorly on inadequately tested. The need to have a VM dedicated to connect Azure to Keeper- drop this. Other integrations with Azure do not require an on premises VM. Why is this integration not hosted on a Keeper Server? Security audit has no filtering between personal and shared entries. Cannot add columns to audit results, and cannot limit audit to a single vault/folder. Reason for choosing Keeper Security Best all around feature set at the time. I pay the low-end fee, once per year. I didn't do that for the first couple years. I decided to pay though because I can now use it on ANY device and it transfers with me. We need to remember so many sites and passwords that it becomes a big headache! It has saved me soooo many times! I have made two folders for my two children and in them I have stored websites and passwords just for them. That has been so helpful! Cons It has a function in which you can automatically be sent to save a new password for a new website/app. It would be nice so that you don't ever forget to save a password... it has never worked correctly for me. I use the IOS app on my phone. its impossible to remember all of your passwords, I would be lost without this software. I like that I can use touch ID to access my passwords which really speeds up the process. My mother who isn't great with computers and is even worse at remembering passwords uses this app too with out any problems, which speaks to how intuitive and easy to use its user interface is.
