Can't tell you how handy that has been when your on your cell and using an Ipad to look up an account number instead of searching on the phone Cons wish Keeper would expand library to include contacts including notes/files and a live address that jumps to "maps" Eg; Because I work solely out of town, I keep my health card number in Keeper. This IS a must have app for user id's & PW's!! I'd be lost with out it! Customer support is responsive...usually within 24 hours (wish it was a bit faster though) Like the fact they give users a trial run to "test the waters" One feature that is FANTASTIC is their desktop extension app! LOVE this feature! SO helpful!! Cons I wish they would reach out to longer time users to ask for feedback/input on what they need...ESPECIALLY since we pay for the product. No need anymore to remember the passwords on each website or app, Keeper will remember it for you. Of course you only need to remember 1 master password (and make this one a very strong password !). Arrange passwords in folders, for logical administration. Create new and strong passwords on a website and have Keeper remember it. Cons No real cons for Keeper, but if any then I would say that this product could be a little cheaper (it's not the cheapest out there). Review Source John C. I work for a large School Board as a Technologist and require access to many different accounts and sites in my day to day activities. Keeper has enabled me to keep track of these things in a secure as well as convenient manner. I can easily access my passwords using my fingerprint on my SmartPhone and get quick access to the required access should I fail to remember it. While I dont use every feature of the app, I am very happy with it and would recommend it. I have looked at other password managers that keep passwords on the system but was alarmed to be able to read them in plain text. Using the app on my phone is quite sufficent. Pros This is a great product. Keeper is a vault and a generator for passwords. And it also has a browser extension that allows the vault to be accessed while online. Keeper can generate ids and passwords for new sites...and they are very secure passwords...very cryptic 128-byte passwords. It also is has fields for storing answers to questions used to verify one's identity that are sometimes used by sites. In the vault, you can organize passwords in folders...for example, all banking passwords in one folder, home information sites in another. And it will fill in the id's and passwords automatically if you wish. The vault can be backed up to the cloud or stored on another device of your choosing. The can print them out. Finally, it will sync across several devices. Create a password on your computer, it shows on your tablet or phone. Cons This product is simply great! Also you can access it from anywhere 24/7. Super user friendly! It has a feature that will allow you to log in from their website making is easier to fill in user profile information. Cons I have found this app to work quite well. The only tricky part of it may be the login area, where some people might get confused as to where or under what profile to log in. We moved from it largely because it was so 'background', we went with another software that was part of our office package. I'm sure it has improved and we'd be willing to take a look at it again into the future, because it was a simple and user friendly setup. Pros The version I used was free and simple to set up. It didn't update constantly, which was nice to avoid being bombarded by notifications. Cons Not a lot of communication from the maker as to threats or needed changes, actually to the point I forgot I had it in place and went ahead with another software. Not that I want constant notifications and maybe the version I had didn't have as many options as a paid version. Review Source Karene A. The addition of password generation is a wonderful perk. Allows you the ability to keep your passwords fresh. Cons This program was free for so long and I was taken back being charged if I wanted my information. I felt blackmailed considering they had all the information and would not give it up so I could move on. So I regrettably paid the fee. It seems like every time you turn around you have to put a new password and or change a password on all of the different places that you visit on the on the internet. A key recommendation from security experts is to use different credentials for every account. In today's online marketplace, this is only possible with a password manager. As a user of a laptop for home, a laptop for work, smartphone, tablet and so on, I needed an app that I could access from each device. Keeper is perfect for that! And now I can share joint account credentials with my husband, right from the app! Keeper also tells you is the passwords are weak and creates new ones for you. For 2FA, I use Google Authenticator -- when I had problems after getting a new smartphone, I called Customer Service and received excellent support! Cons There is a bit of a learning curve, similar to all new apps. After all, this is a lot different from my old spreadsheet. When they have a running discount it's competitive. I tried to contact their customer support when I renewed my subscription with no luck. I like that I can sort the passwords into files and subfiles. The Keeper app has grown and improved over the years I have used it and I really like the improvements. Cons Most passwords are for websites or apps and they are always associated with an email you would have on file with the site or app. Not the website address. Often those ask for you to put in the email address you have on file with them. I would like a dedicated field for each file that you can list the email address you use for that site or app. I usually use the "notes" section for this purpose. I have to go back through my files and move my "account numbers" from the notes section to the section Keeper now has dedicated to filling in account numbers. Review Source Jeff M. Pros Very good UX/UI and the addition of credentials is easy and intuitive. I have hundreds of credentials added and I can easily access via mobile or desktop and the desktop even has a browser extension for easy-of-use. Keeper also has a great 'form filler' when I visit frequent sites like banking etc to add the credentials automatically - a big time saver. Cons Although I know 'free aint free' it does constantly try and upsell me on their other security products like BreachWatch. Those definitely have value but they are part of a paid plan which I am not willing to do right now.
