### "Long time user, it meets our needs"

December 12, 2018

5.0

Pros

The previously named FAS50 now became Fixed Assets Depreciation Light I believe. It does what we need it for, but not much else.

Cons

Large price jumps to higher tiers that allow more features such as storing the database file on a network share. Pretty insane that the base level product intentionally torpedoes attempts to store the file on a network drive.

### "Monro Inc Feedback on SAGE Premier Depreciation Software"

May 10, 2023

4.0

Overall experience is positive. We pay for support but usually only have to use it a few times per year. Application is easy to use.

Pros

Asset Management and depreciation are most impactful. Overall we find the application easy to use with limited training required of new staff. I have been with Monro for almost 9 years and this is the only asset management software that's been in use since I started.

Cons

1\. Not interfaced with our general ledger2. No ability to connect related assets together (traditional parent child). For example, use tax assets. We can't run a report of all of the assets that we pay use tax on and get the corresponding use tax assets automatically. We currently reference the "parent" asset in the description of the use tax asset.3. Transfer report does not contain "company asset numbers" which is the filed we use for account number - so report cannot be used to prepare the journal entry to record the transfer.4. Most fields in SAGE are user definined. For many fields it would be better if they were populated from a drop down or predefined list. This would improve consistency in how assets are recorded.5. We often input assets with in-service dates which are in prior months - so we record depreciation by comparing current month YTD deprec to the prior months YTD depreciation. Because of this we cannot upload the JE from BEST to our ERP system as the Sage process is designed to pick up the monthly depreciation.

### "Gets the job done"

April 27, 2023

3.0

I really only use it to calculate depreciation. I have a large number of fixed assets, but if i had a smaller amount i could probable do depreciation on Excel. So just based on my limited use i think the software is expensive for what it does. That being said, it does do the job.

Pros

Easy to set up new assets easy to run depreciation.

Cons

Not intuitive. Reports are odd. Errors are hard to fix. If you accidentally run depreciation a second time becaue the exit button looks like OK you are not going to be able to undo this. Its not always easy to know what reports you need to run. Custom reports cost extra.

Reason for choosing Sage Fixed Assets

Because we use other Sage accounting products.

### "Excellent fixed asset software"

May 4, 2023

5.0

Pros

We like how easy it is to use. There are times we have many assets to use or purchase a new company, Sage Fixed Assets provides the ability to upload this information from an Excel spreadsheet. It saves many hours of typing each one in.

Cons

The inability to hold assets for sale and freeze depreciation at that point in time. When the sale actually happens it forces that additional months of depreciation on the asset. Therefore, reports are incorrect for depreciation and disposal. This is for USGaap and only affects Internal books.

### "Easy to set-up and use. Very good but basic fixed assets accounting system."

April 28, 2023

5.0

Overall this is a great tool for accounting of fixed assets for small to mid-sized companies with assets of 10,000 or fewer. It accomplishes all that is needed but keeps it basic. Does not easily integrate with other software products.

Pros

Having utilized "FAS" for 12 years, Sage Fixed Assets is a practical but thorough accounting software for managing assets. Importing data is easy. Various depreciation schedules are great to use. Running monthly depreciation is also easy. Simple, pretty basic, gets the job done.

Cons

Reporting is very basic and hard to customize. Fields are too narrow for effective customized output. Exports of data into Excel does not produce easily usable rows and columns. Getting report totals by department for posting is more complicated than it should be.

Reason for choosing Sage Fixed Assets

Ease of use.

### "Sage Fixed Assets - Great Product"

April 27, 2023

5.0

We have moved from excel tracking and depreciation calculations to letting Sage do everything for us. With the challenge of ever-increasing workload, Sage reduced the accountant's asset related workload.

Pros

We have used Sage since I started as an accountant 10 years ago. Sage does all the tracking and journal entry calculations for us. When entering assets, we were able to modify the asset template for anything we wanted to add such as sticker placement and add drop down list that eliminates keying errors. Reports can be run for year-end audits and Sage has the capability to have more than one company on the same platform. In addition, it has a testing database we utilize to create entries/depreciation that doesn't affect our data. As the Controller now, I can run my own reports to check the status of our assets.

Cons

I can't think of anything to list for improvements, Sage gives us everything we need.

### "Sage Fixed Assets Review"

This is the second company that has utilized this product in the accounting department of the bank. It was nice to have familiarity with it, and it makes my job easier.

Pros

We utilize the majority of the functionality in a month, it is easy to use, and I like that it is all centrally located and that the customer service reps when needed are extremely helpful.

Cons

I do not have anything that I dislike about the Safe Fixed Assets product.

### "Easy to use & great way to track assets"

May 4, 2023

5.0

We use Sage to track all our assets. It is very useful in calculating and tracking our depreciation. The customized reports that you can create are a great feature.

Pros

The depreciation feature is what I like most. As well as the reports for various things. The system is super easy to navigate. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I wasn't involved on the integration of our system.

Cons

I have not found any things I don't like about Sage. I find all the features I use to be easy and very useful.

Reason for choosing Sage Fixed Assets

I wasn't involved in the integration or choosing of Sage.

### "SAGE Fixed Asset Review"

May 3, 2023

5.0

Overall great experience with the software for the past 20 years. It has consistently been a very reliable source for our accounting needs.

Pros

After utilizing SAGE Fixed Assets for over 20 years, the reliability has been exceptional. No issues through out the year as it has severed it's purposes in tracking our capital purchases and processing the needed depreciation expense along with all year-end tax return schedules.

Cons

The only minor complaint has to do with the timing of when new tax tables and schedule are available for year-end and new year.

Reason for choosing Sage Fixed Assets

Not applicable.

### "FAS review"

May 2, 2023

5.0

FAS has handled our fixed assets and depreciation for decades. In that time the software has made handling this large amount of data manageable.

Pros

FAS does an excellent job of tracking our fixed assets and keeping track of our depreciation. It is powerful with many options. I can create various subcategories to itemize our assets. The reporting function is superb. Once again I can create reports to make accounting and auditing easier.

Cons

The only con I have is that the software offers so much that it is sometimes difficult to find exactly what I need. Downloading reports to Excel is messy. I have to spend a good deal of time cleaning up the spreadsheet.

### "Not happy with recent changes"

May 2, 2023

4.0

Great until what appears to be a recent ownership change with Sage and now every little thin is an extra charge. We have some new employee is our IT department and to get help with updating our system with the 2023.1 updates we had to pay for a service upgrade just to get assistance with an update. This never us to happen. Not happen with this an having to pay over $3,000 to use Crystal reports FOR JUST ONE YEAR. It used to be included in the annual Sage FAS package.

Pros

GL Reporting makes creating the monthly journal entry easy.

Cons

Not happy with the Crystal Reports now being a separate product that the cost to update from the old version to the most recent version was ridiculous. When we first started using FAS it was include in the product. Also what should have been a 30-45 minute update to add CR to a new computer was 2-3 hours.

### "Long-time user"

May 3, 2023

5.0

Pros

Our group of companies includes several corporate entities with a variety of capital assets, including heavy equipment, processing equipment, vehicles, furniture-fixtures, IT equipment, and real estate. As a Canadian user, we have found Sage Fixed Assets to be a suitable and robust solution for the tracking of acquisitions, amortization, NBVs, month-end accounting, and year-end reporting.

Cons

Ideally Sage Fixed Assets should be fully integrated within Sage 300, our Enterprise software, which has a high degree of integration between the EQ, JC, PR, and GL modules. I visualize a comprehensive equipment master record within Sage 300, with the functionality of Sage FA. This would eliminate the double handling of equipment master records and related transactions which would be welcomed with open arms.

### "Great software for midsize"

May 3, 2023

5.0

Pros

Sage is easy to navigate and pretty intuitive. It was easy to be trained on when I started my position three years ago.

Cons

My only complaint with the product is that if I make a typo and move to another cell, that typo extends across all of the columns automatically. This makes it time-consuming when I need to go back and correct because I have to correct it on each column and not just in one place.

### "Sage has provided a solid fixed assets solution for our company."

March 14, 2018

4.0

Sage offers easy-to-use/read reports that are easily modified to a users preferences or needs. The software also provides a great solution for housing supporting documentation for each asset. This makes research easy and convenient.

Pros

Sage's strongest features are report creation, documentation ability and intuitiveness. Reports are sleek, complete and can be modified easily to meet any demands you may have, there are many options available to support documentation efforts (ie. attaching images or pdfs, additional fields for entering specific information) and the product's ease of use requires little time for users to get "up to speed."

Cons

Reports take a considerable amount of time to load based on the simplicity of many of the reports we use. Based on the other abilities of the software, I would expect reports to be generated a little quicker.

### "Tax Director Ponders Sage"

May 10, 2023

5.0

The business problem we solved with SAGE has been to handle a large amount of information to prepare Federal tax depreciation. I don't know how else we'd get it done!Thank you SAGE!

Pros

We use SAGE to prepare Tax Depreciation. It works very well to perform a very complex function. With education and experience, you can populate SAGE and make a variety of steps to meet a lot of needs for tax reporting. I love the Reports function, which makes it easy to get some forms.

Cons

I struggle to figure out how to get help from SAGE when needed. A webinar, "how to" document or 800 number for support would help greatly.
