It's not a highly advanced solution, so there are some limits depending on how complex the workflow, but for day-to-day use, it works reliably. Overall, I would rate it around 4.0 to 4.3 out of 5. Pros Before using Dropbox Sign, I handled documents through email and PDFs, sometimes asking clients to sign and send them back. It worked at first, but as the number of clients grew, it became harder to keep everything organized. After I started using it, the process felt more contained in one flow. For example, when sending onboarding documents like engagement letters, service agreements, or simple confirmations, I can upload the file, place signature fields, and send it out without breaking the process into multiple steps. It noticeably reduced the time spent handling documents. One thing I didn’t expect was how much it reduced follow-ups. I can see whether a document has been opened or is still pending, so I don’t have to check in as often. During busy periods, this makes a real difference. From the client side, things have been smooth. They can open the link from email and sign right away without creating an account, so I rarely need to explain anything. This has been especially helpful when working with clients who are not very familiar with these tools. Since I already use Dropbox, document handling also feels more connected. I can take existing files, send them for signature, and keep everything organized in the same place afterward. Over time, it’s been easier to keep track of signed agreements and documents. It was fine up until I built my new website. When the new site was built, I needed to integrate Dropbox Sign into the Pipedrive CRM. It was going to be too expensive to do it through Dropbox, so I switched to DocuSign which was also easier to integrate with the Pipedrive. I forgot to cancel the subscription, so I emailed asking for a partial refund, but they refused. They saw how little I used it but they didnt care they wouldn't assist. I'm very disappointed with their service and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'd go DocuSign instead Pros The application was easy to use and got the job done. Pros I like how Dropbox Sign automatically saves a document after i have signed it. It has a secure documents storage vault which allows me to safeguard documents before and after signing them. What could have taken 5 hours to complete took from 4:00 pm on a Thursday to 10:00 am on Saturday to almost complete--I have one more to complete and have to wait a few hours because I've been blocked again. I missed the deadline. Support is also slow and useless. I reached out Thursday. Received one email Friday where I was referred to another department and haven't heard of anything since. Pros It is incredibly easy to use. I can't say much more about the positives because the negatives were such an issue that I missed a deadline. Cons It's so easy that I was blocked of sending contracts out for being suspected of spamming--10-14 contracts at a time. Evidently, that number is too many in a short period of time. It allows me to quickly get potential clients contracts, while creating both spaces for my signature and theirs. I like that it allows me to choose how many signers there are and that I can quickly choose the necessary fields (date, signature, initials, etc.). I really like how it sends me reminders of my amount of outstanding contracts. This makes it easier to follow up and ensure that all parties have received the document. All of our clients, regardless of tech skills, have been able to use HelloSign. Cons I do not like that after a two week period or so, potential clients cannot access the document. It should allow you to choose how long the document is valid for, so that you do not need to resend the document after a certain amount of time. June 10, 2022 5.0 I've had trouble in the past with clients, particularly older ones, who did not know how to electronically sign a document. This is incredibly easy for them to use. I have not had one client who was unable to sign. This became very important during Covid when even local clients were unable to sign in person. I've used other software, usually through their free trial offer. When I tried HelloSign as a free trial offer, I was sold. Pros We send tax documents to clients across the country. Now they can easily sign them and return them to us. They do not required any specific software, apps or know-how. If they can open an email, they can sign the document. This is especially important for our older clients and our non-English speaking clients. It does not integrate with my software, but that is because they have their own program they want you to buy. But it is easy to print to PDF and drag and drop. Another great feature is the automatic email reminders that you can set up. I can tell if a client has viewed the document, signed the document, or if only one spouse has signed. But I do not have to monitor this daily. HelloSign will send reminders that they have not completed all actions. Cons My tax software normally issues a password for each set of documents which I cannot use when sending out the signatures. This may be something that is available in an upgrade, but not in the standard package. Although we normally verify them anyway, we take extra steps to ensure that the email address is correct/current. We don't see us switching over to any other platform any time soon. Besides the one flaw this software has, it has shown several solutions for flaws found in competitors. Pros The software is really user friendly. We switched over from a competitor due to the lower price with HelloSign. They fit our needs perfectly and we love that we don't get limited to how many documents we can send a year which was an issue with every single competitor I have come across with. Cons You can't modify a document after it's been sent. Sometimes one customer has signed but the document isn't complete until all parties have signed. This is the only flaw I have seen. It can make it difficult as sometime we decide only one customer signature is good, then we can't simply remove the other person who won't sign off of it. This makes us have to recreate the entire envelope to resend to customer and explain to them why they are resigning. Having this feature would save everyone a lot of time and would be greatly appreciated. Pros We were using a different product prior to switching over to HelloSign but that one got way too expensive. When we found this product it was exactly the same processes and detail only at a rate that us as a company could afford. Pros One of the strongest features is how easy it is to go through the prompts setting your document up for signature. The steps are self explanatory and easy to follow. I like that whatever you type in the description of the document shows up in your customer's email giving context on what you are sending them. Cons I wish the total count of the documents wouldn't change over the course of time. I am assuming some documents roll off of the total counts if a certain amount of time has gone by and your customer still hasn't signed. With HelloSign, we can do everything we could with the old platform and send even more documents.
