Student Used the software for: ### "Very good gantt chart for small teams" September 1, 2015 5.0 I personally use this to manage my course workload while in seminary. I go through my syllabuses at the beginning of the semester and input all of the deadlines for papers and final exams, then space out the writing into different blocks. It helps me to feel on top of things and not like I have to do everything at once. One of the features I like the best is that it is easy to print out a daily or weekly list of takes based on what has been put into the gantt chart. So you can make a to do list very easy. Also if things don't go as planned it is extremely easy to move the dates around. Overall this software is amazing. Review Source MV Marius V. V.P. It focuses on the basic project management functions, but is powerful enough to have task dependencies, baselines, % completion, resource assignments and % busy on each task. TeamGantt includes an awesome team collaboration facility, where team members can comment on tasks, and create task related email trains that are accessible right from inside TeamGantt. The tool keeps improving too. I can't wait for them to add critical path indicators on the tasks. The best thing about this is the price. Every engineering and design company should be using this! May 24, 2016 5.0 TeamGantt supports work-task breakdown, task assignment, intra-team communication as well as reporting to stakeholders. It is easy to use, easy to share, and constantly evolving for the better. Managing access is very simple. I can change one aspect of a task with a click or I can open a single page and find all task entry on that one page. I can display my workers at the foot of the page and see availability of each at a glance; making assignment easier. I get daily updates on every project, when teammates leave notes on a task, I have immediate notification (I can read the note). Review Source AH Annie H. It has completely changed the way our department works and functions. We LOVE being able to see what jobs are current and where they are in the process, as well as having the history to look back on. The different ministries submit forms based on the work or project they need completed. Then our department admin puts all the information from those forms into TG and assigns them to the proper people within CAD. We use this internally within the department and we totally depend on it! Used the software for: ### "New age tool revolutionizing project management in City Government" May 26, 2016 5.0 Pros: -cloud based and no need to keep sending excel charts back and forth via email (which can create versioning issues) -super easy to use -ability to attach relevant documentation -notification system -not overly complex--sometimes these kind of tools can give too many options NO CONS!! This tool is great for any kind of work. Working in government and having to manage 64 projects at one time meant we had to find a new way of doing things. General director Used the software for: ### "Easy to use, from start; selected after over a month of search among several dozens of project apps " September 14, 2015 5.0 Key features which attract us: - most of editing are "on the face" of the screen, not through pull down menus etc. - almost perfect balance between functionality and simplicity: not overloaded, yet key things are there (this was one of the critical points for us!) - very good visual interface: easy to digest info on the screen, not tiring like many other apps A thing which needs a fix: sometimes during editing a task it may become uneditable (not possible to insert a task bar in the Gantt) , until the page is reloaded. I use it to manage my team, my projects, and most of our "in project" communication, and it works wonders. The gantt chat and the ability to look at any project completion status and see whats good and bad is greatly valuable. I used to work as project manager for many companies before starting my own, and I've used every software for management under the sun, and nothing quite fit the bill until I started using TeamGantt. It has helped us to improve our project management effectiveness to a great extent. User interface is super clear and easy to use, features are continuously added, and not the least useful ones.. Customer service has always been nice and effective. There can be some rare uncomfortable situations like when things become a bit slow when a LOT of tasks are displayed, or when session get lost while typing a comment. Pros The gantt view is perfect but I really like the ability to switch to a list view also. This software has timesheets included and team availability portion is also an excellent view and very helpful. TeamGantt is the only online software I've found that keeps me organized. It's better than a simple to-do list because it allows me to visually understand the scope of my projects. It's even shaped the way I think about my workload. Instead of focusing only on the final due date, I now analyze each step in the process and assign milestones along the way. I always find Gantt charts useful for project management, and having an online tool that I can easily take with me, is ideal! Used the software for: ### "Hard to prevent auto extend" May 25, 2016 3.0 There is no way to clear my card information or prevent auto paying, so if you pay even once , you will pay every month. I tried to find the way to stop auto pay, but failed. So I had to put numbers of a expired card, now I don't pay, happy now. I used it for year planning. When I printed it, printing setup was not stored, so every time changing my plans, had to repeat setup the print form. Overall service is not bad, just have terrible paying system. TG gives us the usual features of gantt charts but with helpful extras such as a daily email digest of outstanding tasks, a comments feature to easily update one another on progress/questions. It is very easy to use to develop project plans, assign accountability for tasks, set timelines, monitor progress and most importantly collaborate on project activities. One big bonus is the reporting tools provide a great visual snapshot of where you are and where you are going, a major deficiency in so many PM tools I have used in the past. You can change, slide or input projects as they come and go. Customer service is outstanding: our director accidentally deleted a projected that had many tasks assigned against it and TeamGantt went out of their way to restore the information in less than 24 hours! Trello is up there as my favourite for the following type of projects: small, agile projects (in the true sense of agile, not Agile methodology), R&D collaborations or when working with dispersed teams. Assigning dates and resources is simple and team members can easily filter to see their tasks and update their % complete. In the beginning I found getting the levels on different groups tricky since you can't indent from the right click, but then I found inside the item there's a simple way to assign a parent task. The best is that changes in the project plan can easily/fast be made and that team mates can log in to accept and finish tasks. Pros \- Scheduling tasks are much easier to do than the other more expensive scheduling software. - The interface looks great and makes it extremely easy to collaborate with others - This software lets you set a project baseline, which a lot of other scheduling software like this does not do. Cons \- Consultants and owners on our projects do not accept this as a format to submit our schedules, they want schedules done their particular software. And if you know the buttons well enough you can get really clear overviews of your projects. Hide completed tasks and viewing only 2 weeks ahead are our favorites. For us it would be great if we could attach more people to a project. So that more of our clients or freelancers can view the progress.
