Once you have completed your work, you do need to export your takeoff to access your outputs including your checks, drawings and quantities. Exporting typically only takes a few minutes but this can differ depending on a few factors including the size of the project, the complexity of the drawings and symbols, and the cleanliness of the selections in your takeoff. If your takeoff is taking a long time to export, I'd recommend reaching out to our support team on the orange button in the bottom right hand corner of Countfire and we can look into it for you. I can see how downloading your disciplines individually could definitely help to streamline your processes on complex projects. I kind the measurements that I can take off are incredibly quick and precise with good mental security that the project is correctly taken off. It includes all of the features that you will need and more. Cons Rarely the saving feature glitches out and won't let you open another drawing. Apart from that Countfire is great. The software is great for doing take-offs quickly. Its a really time saver when you are under pressure to get a job priced. Pros Its very user friendly. Easy to use and when your unsure of something, the countfire team are quick to help. Cons I don't like that you cant put drawings together. For example, if a floor is broken into 4 drawings. Once set up properly, it provided a reliable platform for producing professional estimates and helped streamline the tendering process. It’s a strong piece of software for electrical and building services estimating. Pros Countfire made the estimating process much quicker and more consistent. The take‑off tools were easy to use, and the built‑in rules helped reduce errors when measuring containment, cabling, and builderswork. It was especially useful for producing structured, repeatable estimates without having to manually calculate everything each time. Cons Occasionally, drawings could take a while to process or load, particularly on larger or more complex projects. However, this often appeared to be related to the quality or formatting of the PDF drawings rather than an issue with the software itself.
