Cons Some larger drawings can affect the functionality of the software and slow down take-offs. This is more a drawing quality issue though. Pros There's a simplicity in the functions to the complicated nature that comes with detailed schematics and drawings. Delving further, I can see there is more depth to each function, which I know will be very useful for future use. Cons The load can take its time, but I know that comes from the drawings themselves, so technically it's not with Countfire directly. Pros Ability to use the system as a mechanical estimator, I always assumed that it was electrically biased. The support team are there around the clock and quickly get back and solve your issues or answer any queries you have. Cons I think being able to reduce the size of measurements and take off symbols. They also have a chat at all times that can help you out if you get stuck. Fantastic Service Cons At the moment I do not have enough time behind Countfire to have any complaints - If i have ever been stuck the live chat has always helped me out. Like how it remembers items i have taken off on previous drawings of the same discipline. Cons Cant change size of the point for counting items on busy drawing. For example the circle covers other items i need to count and therefore can be missed. January 29, 2026 5.0 Fantastic, From the start they have been incredible. Any issues and the live chat team will respond in minutes. Pros Support is a next level, team are super fast and active. Anything help you need you can contact the live support team. They will try to fix your issue using Zoom or Teams within a few minutes. Ive never been longer than 5 minutes without someone responding and fixing my issue. (Issue was caused by me learning the software) Cons Honestly, It does exactly what i need to with ease, I dont have any Cons. It may not be the cheapest. But you get what you pay for. I feel like it was fairly straight forward to pick up. \[sensitive content hidden\] did great at training me. She was patient and also let me go ahead and do it as well without telling me every single step. I learn from doing so \[sensitive content hidden\] gave me the chance to jump ahead a bit and when I made a mistake she showed me how to correct it and I found this very helpful. Pros I find it very interesting learning a more up to date programme rather than the old fashioned way of highlighter and paper drawings. Cons The saving every few moves, sometimes when under pressure to get work done you forget to save every few moves. Other than that though it was great. I've saved so much time, rather then my old way of printing out full size drawings and having to do takeoffs manually. With the online messenger, makes it so easy to contact Countifre with any issues I've had and they're always dealt with instantly. I would highly recommend Countfire to anyone. Pros I love the count function when you takeoff a symbol and it counts them across multiple drawings. Cons I didn't used to like the fact that when measuring numerous different lengths of LED strip lights and when I downloaded it onto excel, it would add all the measurements and give one total measurement. The system support are very good Pros Counting the same symbol across multiple sheets/drawings saves a lot of time on bigger projects. The system support being constantly available, a real person and happy to help is a major plus as you get solutions and ways to improve instantly rather than taking days on some other software. Cons The 'measure' tab could do with some refining. More symbols that are specific to what will generally be counted in addition to those that are there such as a 'T' for Tees, 'B' for Bend, 'X' for crosses/intersections, 'R' for Reducers, 'E' for endcap etc. Also allowing options to fix the colours for a group of items. Pros Biggest pro is the customer service!! any queries I have are dealt with extremely fast. Product wise the ease of use and time saved in my job is invaluable. Cons I think the biggest con is the lack of ability to change/swap items into different groups. Its not a massive deal its just more time consuming without that ability. Pros The speed in which we can turn around our take offs. Cons The costs of the product. Sometimes the speed in which drawings are available when loading them onto the system. But that is probably down to the size of some of the drawings more than an reflection of the system. Appreciate the cost of estimating software can seem high however Countfire helps you save money by allowing you to complete your takeoffs quicker and more accurately. When you upload drawings, they go through a preparing stage to get them ready to work on. Preparing can take up to 10 minutes depending on the complexity of the drawing however the majority of drawings prepare much quicker.
